That’s true, I guess, but it’s the teams you’d expect at the top and the bottom. I’d hate to be a Bengals fan, because I think they are inherently screwed by their ownership’s ability and willingness to put their best team on the field for the long term. They’ll be good with Burrow, but I doubt they can surround him with enough as players need to get paid.

You might need to be more specific, I lived in 9 houses (technically 8 but one of them twice) before leaving for college at 17. Mostly in Williamsville, but one in OP and a couple in Hamburg. My parents were in real estate. I’m at the airport now and will be in Williamsville tonight. Even though I only get back sporadically, it doesn’t feel like much has changed. I can get turned around at times, and things aren’t always the way I remember them, but it doesn’t seem to have changed much. However, some of the places I have lived since leaving WNY are almost unrecognizable a few years after leaving. I spent my first 17 years in WNY, but then spent 30 years living in resort communities that exploded. I guess it depends a lot on where you live, and if people are trying to get in or out.

I’m so sorry. I know and hate that sense of loss, but making it to 18 is a very good run for a lab. It’s easy for me to tell you to remember the good things, but that takes time. I’ve always felt there was something missing in the house when they are gone. Somehow you can just feel a void. I had a dog do that, she went somewhere she would never go and laid down to die. I was fortunate that the vet was open and we learned an unknown tumor had broken free and was pressing on her heart. She was fine when my son left for school, and gone when he got home.

I’d say this is of equal value, but with the added touch of name calling.

At a Bills game in Nashville there was a group behind us all dressed in Bills gear. It was apparently borrowed or freshly purchased. They were making as much noise as anybody in the stadium, even when we were on offense. When I explained that “now is the time to be quiet, Josh is trying to talk to his guys” they looked at me like I just told them the sun was made of cheese, in Latin. “Really?” Yes, really. The same guy was pretty drunk, and somehow we went from high fiving to him patting me on the head when something good happened. I didn’t really care, but eventually he says “hey, your hair is all wet!” I said “I know, you keep spilling beer on me!” His second big surprise of the night! 😂

I found it to be a VERY different experience when we went for preseason games. I didn’t go to that many, but the game was kind of background noise while we felt like we were at a picnic. It wasn’t really about football.

I got DTV Satellite a quarter century ago to see Bills games on Sunday ticket. I still have the dish with a bare bones package of channels plus DTV Streaming for every day use. The streaming goes out from time to time, so now the dish is just for emergencies. A little redundancy isn’t the end of the world.

It seems they are actively trying to do some damage control and a little self scouting. That’s the least we should expect. But I won’t hold my breath waiting for anything to actually get better.
