I’m with you here! Solomon has that quick bendy, twitchy edge rush we otherwise lack. I’ve been intrigued by the guy, and the stats in red above are eye opening. I hope with a full NFL offseason he can hold up against the run and earn more snaps to get after the QB.

Because we were often out of players on D come the playoffs, hence bringing guys like AJ Klein back from vacation to suit up again. We needed better depth when we got to the playoffs and the injuries piled up. .

As co-Super Bowl favorites, I would argue it hasn’t been as shabby as some people will lead you to believe.

There was a reason we drafted almost all defense and brought in defensive FA’s, we didn’t have the horses with sufficient depth in the past.

They have to account for him regardless, I appreciate having more flexibility. But I agree I want to get him the ball where he can use his vision and speed to make the BIG splash plays.

I’m not sure if the problem is the talent of players, or the quality of depth. When we get to the playoffs it seems our defense is decimated by injuries. Part of that may come from being fast but “smallish”, but we seem to run out of “guys”. We should not be interrupting AJ Klein’s vacations to help us in the playoffs. Maybe going so deep on defense in this year’s draft helps that, because I’m as sick of it as anyone.

I don’t want him blocking all the time, but he has to at least be adequate enough so as not to tip off the D regarding what we are running. If he’s a blocking liability he hurts us, and if the D knows he’s sneaking out into the flats it makes it easier on them. I don’t want any “tells” because he’s not competent at an important aspect of the game. He doesn’t have to be great, but at least adequate to keep the opponents honest.

Yes, they suck so badly we are tied with the Ravens as SB favorites for the upcoming season (FanDuel), just ahead of the Eagles then the Chiefs. You can be unhappy with various things, but I think when you say they suck, you lose credibility. Just because it’s not what you want does not mean anything sucks. We are fortunate to be so close as a team, but it seems to anger some of the natives that we haven’t gotten over the hump….yet. We have some weak spots, but we do not suck.

I think he’s just upset that he got in line for the pitch forks, but the torch line moved much faster. He’s disenchanted by the process we use, and he seems to be giving up. Letting the process play out is not part of our typical process. It can be confusing.

Why would you assume any of that? The first 3 guys in the 2024 draft got hurt (Keon and Carter showed flashes pre-injury), the 4th contributed and there is other talent being developed. The 2025 class has yet to play a down. Did I miss the sarcasm font?

I doubt that’s what they call it on the brochure, but….yeah, I think that might be what he means. 🤷‍♂️
