I’d have been at the game if it were in Atlanta. Of course, I can see the stadium when I drive to the grocery store. 😋 As for the airport, it’s actually the busiest in the world. I happen to hate it because security can be overwhelmed, but it does make it easier to get places. We live where we do for my wife’s proximity to that airport. I don’t think the heavy stuff is gonna come down for quite a while. .

Well, 100% of what I watch on TV is streaming. Streaming is my present and not the problem. Being told by the NFL that I have to get every streaming service they say with no limitations is the problem. I have zero use for Peacock other than a game or two a year. That’s a PITA, but I can live with it. What pisses me off is I have to watch an NFL playoff game on a phone in a bar at a high end hotel. They took it too far. Period.

I know it’s got to be super frustrating for people with plans affected by this, but it’s weather, not a math formula with a simple answer. It is by nature uncertain, so it’s hard to have the perfect answer.

Nope, it’s not the hotel’s fault. The NFL is just pushing the limit. Too far, IMO. We are at the Grand Bohemian in Greenville, SC if anyone looks it up. There are certainly finer places to stay, but it’s certainly not the Hampton Inn in Ocala. .

Oh, and he’s from Rock Hill, SC and his father was almost certainly at my wedding. Small town Docs were well known back then. He clearly remembered the name. Small world.

The 40 and under crowd will rarely be able to afford the prices they will be charging. But they want to cater to them in some ways, looking to the future. But I’m just not sure if they aren’t losing a bit of focus on (or care for) the present. Withhold games from me? I know, I have the option, but I did play by all the rules. I got more packages than I ever wanted just to be able to watch the Bills, and it still wasn’t enough to see an NFL playoff game except for over the shoulder of some people at a bar on a lady’s phone. No, the bar couldn’t get it either. The cool part? The guy I spent my time with played 7 years in the NFL, mostly as a Patriot (it’s OK, they were no good back then). It was a fascinating conversation about surviving the 6.5 year process of getting his CTE payout. He said without his wife there was no chance that would have happened. Even as a DB, his hands were NOT a pretty sight. I’m still pissed at the NFL, but I had a very interesting night.

They don’t have the Peacock app in the rooms. I’ll go look for a bar soon (that’s not strictly related to the NFL game 😋), but the NFL will never fully recover from this season in my mind. They finally pushed far enough to make me wonder.

I’m traveling and in a hotel so I think I may miss the Dolphins freezing their asses off. If the NFL does not think enough of their product to be sure it’s available to regular people, I’m not sure how much I should care. I’ve tried, and tried, and it’s STILL not good enough. This is getting like a high maintenance girl - just not worth it. And no, watching a playoff game on my phone is something I will never do unless the Bills are involved. Even then, it will just fuel my anger. This game will be almost as cold as my feelings for the NFL. .

I don’t know what that is because it’s on NBC which I haven’t gotten at the house in I don’t know how long due to their dispute with my provider. Helluva business plan they are running making it impossible for people to see their programming. .

I lived in hurricane territory for 30 years. Cat 1-3 was a problem, but we stayed. You get serious stuff like a Cat 4 or 5 you respect the hell out of it!

Yep, forget about how much you like or hate extreme winter weather. It’s not about you. The best chance for the Bills to win is if weather allows the better team to do their thing. Handicapping both teams helps to level the playing field, and I don’t want any of that. A home playoff game should be played at home, even if it MUST be put off a day. Having said all that a thousand pages in, I hope this turns out to be a big bag of nothin’.

The NFL has mastered the weather in a clever ploy to expand coverage into one more holiday viewing window. This will become like the Thanksgiving Day games before you know it.

I thought about how misleading that is to the rest of the world with preconceived notions about Buffalo. That’s OK, let’s keep it our little secret. I wouldn’t mind a summer place in WNY to beat the heat, and it’s cheaper than the NC mountains.

I was driving from Buffalo to Cincinnati after my uncles funeral with my entire family in the car. It’s dark, and everybody is sleeping when we hit a band of snow near Erie, PA. I can’t see anything! I’m driving by feel using those lane marker bumps. I can’t pull over because I don’t know where over is! I might be just parking in the right lane, for all I know. Trucks and cars all just trying to follow the leader without getting too close, but get too far and you have nothing to follow. So I’m doing this white knocked driving all by myself. Suddenly there is a major dip, like a rollercoaster feeling in my stomach. I’m sure I’ve gone off the road, but it’s too smooth. Then a stop sign went by and told me I had gotten off at an exit, but by the time I realized what had happened I was back on the highway! My mother woke up first and I heard “Oh ****!” About 30 minutes later we drove out of it, my father woke up and asked I if wanted him to drive. Yes please. That was the most frightening experience ever driving a car. If Mother Nature decides to make a game impossible, that is within her power. You just need the best Plan B possible. EDIT: Between unforeseeable adult stuff like that, and the stupidity of youth, I am very lucky to be here today. And I know it. .

I don’t think it’s that he’s lost confidence in Bass. I think he knows there’s something up physically with Bass and he knows he doesn’t have his typical range. That’s what it feels like to me, anyway.
