  1. I'm assuming this means evaluations *THROUGH* the first 5 weeks, but how hilarious would it be if it was ONLY about week 5..... Adams would just stay home cause "we have Jets/Bills/Saints already at home" lol
  2. It's not TV doctors we've literally heard players admit to doing this. I think it was Peyton manning? I know I'm not the only one here who's seen this. And boom. This was 13 years ago. You're living under a rock if you think this idea hasn't spread past 1 player ever https://www.nfl.com/news/manning-admits-underperforming-on-baseline-concussion-tests-09000d5d81f83fbc
  3. Hard disagree. We've seen it happen plenty in the league, and Josh did it last year. If its minor, and it was, and Josh fibbed his baseline enough to give himself some autonomy for smaller ones we'd never know. Players have openly spoke on throwing off their baseline tests..... its a billion dollar business, played by the most competitive people in the world. Id bet my life Josh threw baseline off even just a smidge, so he can play through those exact scenarios. Im 90% sure weve already seen it from Josh before.
  4. I agree with the intent of what youre saying and the rule...... but timeout was not a game changer, and the challenge loss is nothing. TO ME, THE BIGGEST POINT IS WITH THESE REFS.... WHO, FREAKING, KNOWS?!?!? Id say if u gave that plat to 10 crews, 2 would overturn it from incompetence. We see stupid isht like that alllllll the time!!!!
  5. Anybody whos watched or heard Josh talk knows he'd die trying to win us a SB. I'm pretty old school, in that, it looked like a "head ringer" (we know now, those are concussions even if mini) someone can shake off in a tight game in 4th quarter. I'm also one clammoring for Tua to hang em up, especially since hes so likeable. IMO Josh was mostly fine, but it was still a risk coming out.... another big blow in that game could realllllly change the trajectory of his career. Basically, driving w/o a seatbelt id equate it too. Proli fine once here or there, but over a large sample, there will be major repercussions from some of that sample. My point here, is that I'd bet my life savings Joshs head was shook up, and this was a minor concussion at minimum, and that he'd NEVER let that take him out of a game. Whether it was deflecting blame at a chest or "wind knocked out", all the way to, bluffing his baseline tests, so that he can play through mini-events like that one. Please be smart about it, if its bad, do not fake your way through it, and on smaller ones, make an honest self reflection "how bad is it" and ask whether that game scenario is "worth any risk at all." Secondly, NFL, take your tax exempt money and fund the ever living snot out of the guardian cap guys!!! Make them look more like the real thing, hide them inside helmets, or create a larger shell to throw over those things. GUARANTEED if you do some or all of that, the voluntary participation will skyrocket! Cmon Roger, do something where everyone wins for once
  6. Probably not, but im not trading him. hes healthy, pissed off, and fully dependent on incentives to get paid. if we were to make a run, its because we get better with a trade, and Von plays with his hair on fire.... 100% believe he does stilll
  7. Hopefully dude has a frame that can slab some more beef on him with NFL weight & diet coach
  8. There you have it. The literal dumbest question I've ever seen on the board. I dont think we could trade Elam for the rights to Henry Ruggs
  9. Devils advocate; buy low on a player with upside, a fresh start, and 2 cost controlled years. Why build all this culture if it can't support 1 player with some rough edges, especially when you get the dude with a "fresh team bump"? Sure Diggs went sour, but we traded a #1 for three elite years, and resold for a #2. Did we lose because we had a year with a dbag??? I think you should be able to keep a revolving door of 1 or 2 guys like this on the team at a time (not on same side of the ball though)
  10. There are issues for several reportedly interested teams, with his cap hit trading for him NOW. Pro rate per game on like $13m i read, so cap hit gets cheaper roughly $1m/game. While there are teams interested that have the cap space, if im LVR, I'm not opening bidding until I know all teams are capable of pulling trigger. Why set up an auction when you know 3-4 interested teams can't make it to the auction? Only way around that is you negotiate with the team, hey, there are a handful of teams that can't really bid just yet, blow me away with an offer now while you have a chance to be sole bidder. Otherwise call me back week before deadline, and be aware we're discussing trade with all teams prior to any decision.
  11. I'd rather jam a broken flower stem down my urethra, or undergo a brain transplant from Antonio Brown.
  12. The "you sure" thing REALLY pissed me off at the time. Straw broke camels back after passing up several silver platter opportunities to support josh in interviews, the way josh had constantly been doing. I can only imagine beane and the locker rooms reaction seeing/hearing that.
  13. 3 *AND* 1???? ALLAHU ACKBAR!!!!!!!
  14. I think winning and a fresh start will do enough to keep him behaved here during the short remainder of his career. Everyone shouting DIGGS! DIGGS! forgets he was a literal angel here 2 years minimum; happy to have a top qb and win some games. Dudes 32. It's not like we're marrying the dude fresh outta HS. Can proli play at high level 2 more years, figure it out then. Willing to pay proper compensation via picks, if they're fully committed to starting rebuild and eating cap dollars they don't need anyways. 🤷‍♂️ If you have a coach staff/locker room culture that can't hold up a top talent with a poor attitude for 2 years, you don't have a culture anyways. These malcontents reset their tantrum clock each time they change teams. See Diggs in 2020. See Diggs in 2024. See T.O. in Dallas post SF. I'm sure there's a million I'm not bothering to remember
  15. Poyer wasn't? I didn't see anything to reflect that being true?
  16. Can't forget the boards draft bargain pick Javon Soloman punching out the rock, and showing Mac what a real Alabama football player looks like
  17. Won $250 on 3 leg: Ray Davis TD, Josh over 235yds, Bills -6.6 Took $100 on Bills SB @ 8:1 And sprinkled $50 Dodgers WS Win/Bills SB @ 40:1 Worst case I'm totally cool with selling that 2nd one off in a month if Dodgers can do what seems obvious, at a nice Lil profit. Beyond stoked at how many ways were dangerous
  18. What could you get, 5th? I think his value is so trashed, that there's no value in dealing him. Worst case you got a guy to ride pine and have 5 years in the offense instead of playing backup carousel. In the mean time, work on the kid, but it's def looking Zack Wilson ish. I haven't paid attention much, are those 4th/5th years unmanageable cap wise for a guy that went #1? Or is he cheap backup money and by year 4 or 5 gets to top end backup $$ (tyrod or minschew type $$)
  19. Dont forget with that trade carolina paid out a #1 overall lol They coulda had Stroud and a top Tackle. An ace WR. Kept DJ Moore and a 2nd rounder lol Absolutely debilitating to this team. My friends and family are panthers fans. Their excitement today reminds me of Trent edwards or Fitzpatrick energy they gave us first month of a season. I tried warning them guard your feelings lol They're convinced Andy Dalton is gunna be last years Joe Flacco Browns season 🤣🤣🤣 It felt like being 35 at the bar laughing at how immature the 20year Olds are, while forgetting that was me not all that long ago lol I'm gunna let them have fun with it, but you'll find no comforting words from me when Andy freaking Dalton breaks their hearts lol
  20. I know nobody listened, but those who did caught something about an onsides punt?! I have no clue if that's real but it seemed it
  21. WHOA, wait. At the end "try an onside punt" wtf is that? Wouldn't a team just fair catch it???
  22. McDaniel as a young coach has more at stake too. Young, first head coach job. Get fired for essentially insubordination, and I don't know he has the track record to get another HC job anytime soon. His chance to fix that is in progress and jury is still out, if he can keep the ship upright a few years successfully, he'll have job security as a hireable coach... even if it's not Miami. If doctors are telling him Tua needs a month and then clear him, he'd be sabotaging his own career, and Tua's at same time. Who is he to tell Tua and a doctor they're wrong, all to flush his career. Tough decision for sure. I wouldn't lose respect if he let Tua play. And if he believes in his heart he's putting Tua in serious jeopardy and makes a stand. I'd respect the hell outta that... but he's a captain going down with the ship if it's that
  23. NFL couldn't attempt to force him out unless they had an absolute bulletproof, indisputable, medical report. There would be pitchforks and fires from Nflpa. Including from me. Up thread someone mentioned "we should petition to have NFL force him to retire". Obv that's not gunna work, but the mere idea of that is so far beyond shameful. "How do we know he's competent enought to make a decision". 🤣🤣🤣 We can send our kids off in the name of oil and poppy plants, where they'll certainly return life alteringly mentally damaged and possibly physically.... for $35k/year. Or have our kids drafted, and that's the trajectory. But yes, we as a civilization need to run interference on anothers life, because he's not smart enough to know what he's getting himself into, even though he's college educated, and playing the most cerebral position in sports. Maybe he's fully aware and *if medically cleared* nobody but him gets to make a decision if he should play or not. If it's his dream he gets to decide for himself if the risk is too much. Shameful anyone could even entertain that... and that's from me, who hopes he hangs it up
  24. That's for the doctors to assess. Spot on and that's what I meant. Find a way to make it less dorky and use will go up
  25. Tell them you can head hunt again if you're wearing it and we'd see 100% on the defensive side 😆
