Antwan Woods Released
BillsShredder83 replied to BillsShredder83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
scouting report sounded like a serviceable vet for run stuffing, clogging the middle. updated weight said 320 so a little better than 300. strengths are using shorter height to get under OL for leverage. short arms, doesnt provide much in pass rush. very meh, but around the level of DT i suspect Beane of bringing in -
Cowboys cut Woods today. Dunno much about the player other than he started last year, and is listed as 1T. (Also says 300lbs, sounds small for the position). Anyone more up to date than me, if we'd be interested or if he could fit with us?

"The Snead" has been all about selling tmrw, for today. I thought the wheels wouldve fallen off by now, but they havent. Without a deep playoff run this year, i could see ownership making a change. one of the more interesting teams in the last few years.

i think a pretty grimey move is coming her depending on circumstances. if he was playing bball, sure dont pay him, but if a guy is training in a logical manner, and you hammer him, its a dirty move. sounds like an insurance company skipping a medical bill for something negligible. discouraging your guys from staying in shape in the offseason at home is pretty stupid, and future FAs will be reminded of this by their agents. would they rather players show up 30lbs overweight and gassed half way through practice? weak

1st rd pick from the Rams in the Stafford deal? i dont remember the terms
-
i think its cj's relative too lol pretty sure i caught that in some college action this year, cousin? (edit: looked it up and no. but his father was a TE @ A&M also) .... on 5 carries each per game

No starters from the draft? Not exactly true.

I mean when you construct a solid roster like we have AND pick 30, this is what's supposed to happen. In the drought years 3-5of these guys would've been day 1 starters. If none of them HAVE to come in and start right away, mind as well take a higher ceiling player, while you have the time to develop them! This is a good sign -
Falcons declining fifth-year option on TE Hayden Hurst

i dont disagree, but tough offense to pull targets in... maybe the only WR room better than ours in the league -
Ironic coming from him and the money laundering Berk Hathaway has been caught up in laundering for the cartels. BTC can and will be used for manipulation, but as the market cap continues to grow i think it will dampen their ability to do so. I think well have a better idea of where were at after this bull market, at peak bear season. We'll have to wait and see what the new low is in 18-24mths. If it stays above 30k, the following bull cycle will have the true skeptics buying in. Lindy effect will grow with each progressive cycle imo

take some time to learn about it. its only the single most valuable, inflation proof asset thats ever been made. if you read, and im wrong, you lost some time reading.... if you invest some time into learning, and see what me and millions of others see, you can join the most sound money and become pretty wealthy in the process. in all seriousness i can point you towards two solid resources that will help you understand it. adoptions happening one way or another, why not put some time into it for a chance to be ahead of the curve

should i sell my car for horses too? let me ask you this.... how much time have you spent learning about it? any?

Was "boring" for alot of folks but man 2 pass rushers right up front excited me like no other. Teams that bought toys without the fundamentals in place had "fun" drafts, but now the funs over for them. Like Cinci passing on Sewell, exciting? Proli, but that going to haunt them for a while. Have they already forgot what they did to Carson Palmer? Did they miss what happened to Luck, or Darnold to a lesser extent? Glad my FO gets it. I'll have my fun in season, over the first 2 days of the draft pleaseeeee
-
I definitely don't think there's a ton of value in these like most others, but it's interesting. Anyone know if they factor in draft position? Moving 30th to 18th ranking would be pretty good if that's how it works.

Beane compensatory picks...he's clever
BillsShredder83 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This staff put him through alot last year, and have talked highly about him. You put in the time and effort grooming someone like that because they have "it". They see something in him we haven't really got a chance to see. I would be less than surprised if he's an animal this year. He's had a year to adjust to and dial in a new body type. Taking to DEs doesn't make me think less of him. They always like a stable of dl rotation. I honestly think this is gunna be a helluva coming out party for Epenesa! -
So, what's the plan at RB?
BillsShredder83 replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah later in the season, the game after a really good game. Was inside the 10, can't remember who against. I remembered thinking he was poised for a breakout, and got in the doghouse early -
... not yet. We can't afford to not move up. 7 rookies aren't making this roster, I doubt 6 will. Why waste a pick to get cut, when you can get quality and better chance of them making an impact.

One thing that immediately jumps out on tape is he is lined up all over the #%@$g place! It took me 2 replays to find where he started the play. Thats gotta be a nightmare if youre a qb, or all the sudden hes your new blocking assignment after you break the huddle. His power looks great, but he has some lateral quickness i like too

Man that sr bowl coverage is really the best tape that gets out their to the general public. I spent literally hours on Nageys twitter after the bowl. The 1 on 1, and drills, and all the other stuff they do gives you a different view and appreciation of how good these guys are. Helpful camera angles. Scouting guys on the line is so freaking hard with the standard gameday camera angle. Love this stuff. Wish his arms were longer, and he does have a narrow frame. His fast feet are really going to keep him from getting in a bad position he cant dig himself out of. Impressive stuff. Thanks for the post
