  1. Though I wouldn't have voted for it, front office probably should've been an option. That needs to improve more than the QB, offensive skill positions, linebackers and secondary(Injuries) do imo.
  2. I would think the majority of the blame is and should be on the offense. Dorsey still had his full allotment of players in this game, the defense was a shell of the team fielded in September. Frazier had to manage a defense that was either down almost all of it’s star players or they were playing nowhere near 100%. No All-Pro Maicah Hyde at FS, nor his replacement Hamlin. Our x7 time All-Pro, future Hall of Famer pass rusher Von Miller was out. Our 1st team All-Pro SS Poyer was playing with 1 arm and 1 leg. Our best CB Tre, a x2 All-Pro player, playing on 1 leg. Add to that our best guy in the middle of the d-line Jones out and another DL playing was with 1 arm. He gets and deserves the blame for 13 seconds, for killing the best chance we've had at a Super Bowl win since Super Bowl 25. For squandering the best offensive performance through 2 games of a postseason ever. An offense that scored tds on 12 of their 16 possessions in last year's postseason, an unheard of 75% td rate through 2 games. For that he & McDermott are blamed and deservedly so. This year in the Divisional round they were badly injured and the offense needed to step up, but fell flat on it’s face. 10 measly points was all they could muster, while the defense gave up 1 point more than the Bengals averaged in the regular season. Frazier deserves blame for some past performances in the playoffs, but not one where he was down all his top talent except Milano and still held their opponent to their season average, while the offense only scored 36% of its season average.
  3. Blake didn't have 4,500 yards and 35 tds the year they went to the AFCCG. That was 2 years prior. The year Blake had those numbers the Jags went 5-11.
  4. Breece Hall will be nothing like 2022 Breece Hall this coming up year. Why would the Packers make this trade and take that huge dead cap number to trade their best player away?
  5. On defense especially, I think alot of what they've done over the last several years was try to get faster to combat KC's speed. Problem is KC traded Tyrek and changed their offensive philosophy. Add to that the arrival of a new, good team at the top, the Bengals. First it was build a team to beat Brady and the Pats, then he left and it was the Chiefs, now here comes the Bengals. McBeane needs to build their team through they're own vision, not build a one to beat 1 certain team. Build your own identity and make teams adjust to you.
  6. If Hyde(Already medically cleared), White(Only a couple months shy of the 2 year mark once the season begins) and Miller are healthy next year this defense gets better even if they don't bring Poyer & Edmunds back. Miller should be good to go game 1, he said so in an interview on the Pat Mcafee show. I love Poyer and it's of no fault of his, he was so injured, but a slightly above average Strong Safety would match his play from the Packers game on. Edmunds, if he leaves, we all will find out just how good or bad he was. Hopefully at some point McDermott will remember his roots, who he learned under and switch to a more aggressive style defense. Above all else, be your own team, with your own identity. Stop trying to build to beat certain teams, by the time you get there, there's either a new #1(1st NE, then the Chiefs, now maybe the Bengals?) or that team has changed their identity(Chiefs this year). Build through your own ideas and make teams switch things to keep up with you.
  7. He wasn't just lights out, it was statistically the best QB performance in a postseason ever. 48/62 77.4% comp, 637 yards, 9 tds, 0 ints 149.0 QB Rating QBR 95.5. Added another 134 yards on the ground. First QB ever to throw 4 or more tds in back to back playoff games. Highest QB Rating & QBR in a postseason. He led an offense that scored on 12 of their 16 drives in the playoffs, all of them were tds. A 75% td rate in a 2 game stretch in the playoffs. The odds if you losing 1 of those 2 games, with those numbers, has got to be really low.
  8. Neither was good this year, they were equally bad. Dak had 23 tds 15 ints, Carr 24 tds 14 ints
  9. According to Spotrac they do not have tons of cap space, they don't have any and most of their top paid guys are probably not getting cut because of the dead cap hit is too high. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/2023/
  10. 13 seconds and it's not even close. Gave up a lead in 13 seconds, but they also gave up 552 yards and 42 points. The Cincy game they were either without or had players playing that were no where near 100% physically. The 4 big ones(Hyde, Miller, Poyer & White) have 12 All-Pro selections between them, 4 out of our top 5 guys on defense(Milano being the 5th) are were in that group. So they were without their best pass rusher, their Free Safety, Hamlin the #2 Free Safety, Marlowe their #3 started the game, but got hurt, so onto the #4 guy. Our best CB & our Strong Safety were playing on 1 leg, and Poyer was already playing with 1 arm as well. Poyer gets hurt and we're onto Johnson our #2 SS. Jones our best big man in the middle was out and Phillips was playing with 1 arm. Last year we were only down Tre. This year is far more understandable why we lost and lost big. If any defense we faced was down that many players on 1 side of the ball and especially the quality of the player and the positions they play, we would expect to crush that defense. No matter how good their defense was before the injuries came. That's what Cincy did.
  11. He was right about Josh and went to bat for him. Besides that I think he’s like every other so called "draft expert". But I'll always be a little more tolerant of him because he believed in Josh from the very beginning.
  12. And someone just mentioned Donte Whitner in another thread. 1st time I've seen his name in years. It's all adding up. OMFG they are taking a safety!!
  13. Yes a runner up to the 1st team, I never said that wasn't the case. But there's a 2nd team also. They are still All-Pros, they're just not 1st team All-Pros. While I did not provide that link, I did look at it. Earlier you referred to the 2nd team All-Pros as "alternates", it states that there are no alternates in the All-Pro selection process. Therefore they're All-Pros. But hey, be the only person to think that way. You and your little book.😂😂
  14. That did nothing but skirt around the question. Could San Frans defense hold Cincy down with 2 of their top 5 defenders out, 2 out of their top 5 playing nowhere near 100%. Another 2 starters(Hamlin & Jones) out and another guy playing with 1 arm? The answer is no. They got smoked by KC, Mahomes had 423 and a passer rating of 132 and Tua just missed a 300 yard game(295). That was the only 2 top 10 passing offenses they played all year. Get rid of their best pass rusher & their Free Safety. Their Strong Safety & best CB are now 1 legged & the Strong Safety now only has 1 good arm. That backup Free Safety, he's now gone, on to your #3 and you're going to lose him in the game, so on to your #4. The one armed & 1 legged Strong Safety, he's going to get hurt in the game as well, on to #2. We haven't even got to losing your most important big man in the middle of that defense, on to #2, another big guy in the middle now only has 1 good arm. Their defense would get crushed, just like ours did.
  15. Yup. Meanwhile teams, coaches, sportscasters, the players and media themselves all call them All-Pro players. You are the first person I've come across in 45 years of following football that doesn't. If they're All-Pro players to them, you know everyone involved in football and covers football, then they're All-Pro players. Micah Hyde is clearly referred to as an All-Pro Safety, that's been proven.
  16. I don't put any stock in Beane’s pressies as far as future moves go. He rarely tells the truth. And I don't disagree with the offense needs help both with players and steady playcalling. And how about we actually use Cook and Hines and find ways to get them involved in the passing game as well. They're fast and we lack speed on offense. Does Dorsey need an offseason to put together a game plan? I thought the Rams game was called beautifully. 1st drive, right down the field TD. It looked really easy. They installed a quick passing attack to counter Aaron Donald. Once the corners started sitting on shorter routes they went deep. Not only going deep, but waiting till Donald wasn't in the game. It was smart and had purpose. The only time they really got stopped was because of turnovers. I remember thinking great game, gotta clean up those turnovers, but for the first game of the year, boy did they look good. Like playoffs last year goid, just with some sloppiness. After the game I think I said Daboll who? Outloud even. Boy was I bamboozled.😂
  17. This was to start the game. Buffalo didn't get a 1st down until there was 8:12 left in the 2nd quarter,. Almost 22 minutes for their first 1st down.
  18. Ok. When we watch San Frans Defense are they going to have all their best players out hurt or playing no where near 100%? Like 4 out of their top 5 defenders and 2 others out and another playing with only one arm. Are they going to be on their #3 and then #4 FS? Did you forget that 7 games into the season our defense was just as good as theirs was and against better competition? This would've been a much better defense if it wasn't for the injuries. 4 All-Pros either out or no where near 100%.
  19. Tell me how did you become a Bills fan again. Oh yeah, that would be me. Sorry bro. Yeah right, not sorry!!!!
  20. Come on, you can remember all the way back to October 20th can't you? Vs Cleveland.....3 plays punt, 3 plays FG(Hines punt return), 3 plays punt. Three 3 and outs to start the game. We scored on the next 7 possessions after that.
  21. I was saying this the last several weeks of the season. You have an offense dying for dynamic players outside of Diggs and Allen. You have a rookie RB that had (6) 20+ yard runs on only 89 carries. That was good enough for 14th among RBs, again on only 89 carries. The next lowest amount of carries by a RB that had 6 or more 20+ yard runs was Wilson Jr for Miami who had 176(Twice as many as Cook) carries and only 1 more long run. We needed to give him at least twice as many carries and should've used him more in the pass game.
  22. So KC isn't a good team? Baltimore was playing well also before Lamar got hurt. How about Miami, pre concussion Tua, their offense was on fire, but the defense played well in that, down half their starters and 4 out of their 5 starters in the secondary. Injures to our best defensive players and then add Damars injury to the mix. It all took too big of a toll on this team. The amount of defensive talent that was either out or playing with clear limitations was huge on Sunday. Playing against one of the best QBs and the best WR trio in the league. The defense the final 11 games(Inc. playoffs) was a shell of the team that fielded the best defense in the first 7 games. That #1 ranking was against some good teams with good talent.
  23. They were down 2 starters. Jones & Miller and both Oliver & Phillips were banged up on top of that. And yes I realize the Bengals were down starters on their OL. What I'm saying is give me the 4 players I mentioned previously, all healthy, plus a healthy Hyde, Poyer & White and Give Cincy their 3 OL back healthy and let's play ball. While I'm not foolish enough to believe Cincy’s offense wouldn't have some good moments, that game wouldn't look anything like what we saw on Sunday. And I don't think there a person that could convince me otherwise. There were a ton of injures on that defense, far, far greater than 3 OL being out. Were they all All-Pro caliber players like ours? Yeah let's play Cincy with our 3rd string FS, only for him to get hurt, let's bring on the 4th stringer. Or our SS playing with 1 arm and 1 leg and let's lose him also, bring on the 2nd stringer. Or our star CB playing on 1 leg or the best pass rusher we've had in a while, let's lose him too. Then have to play Burrow and the best WR trio in the NFL. I admit I was blinded by the wins, they just kept winning week after week. But once they lost and I really thought of the talent either not playing or playing with clear limitations, I got only one question...how did anyone think we had a chance?
  24. Whitner has never been known to be an intelligent person. Did Whitner take into account that we were down Hyde for the last 16 games, or Von missing the final 7 games. How about Poyer playing with numerous injuries throughout the season and was no where near 100% from the Ravens game on. That's the last 14 games. Or Tre out for the 1st 10 games, then slowly getting worked in as a starter and never coming close to the player he was before tearing his ACL? That's 4 out of our top 5 guys on defense, plus numerous other injuries to the defense. I mean we were down to our 3rd & ultimately our 4th string FS during the Bengals game. People pissed about Sunday's loss are acting like what they saw was our original team. What other team in the NFL could lose 2 of their top 5 defenders, have 2 other top 5 defenders clearly limited in what they physically could do, plus be down another starter(Jones) and have another player playing with only 1 arm(Phillips) and still hang with the Bengals or even get out if the Divisional round? I don't think there’s a single team that could do that. Are there some problems on the team that need to be fix? Yes there are, but mostly on offense. The defense wasn't anything like what the roster read in September. Good news Hyde is already cleared. With another 8-9 months and being 2 years removed for his ACL surgery, Tre should be close to what he once was. And Von's surgery went really well, they were able to reuse holes ect that they drilled from his first ACL surgery. As a result his timeline to return to playing is much shorter and he said he will be ready for the 1st game of the season. Their return is like signing 3 top tier players on defense. There's been alot of playoff blunders and bad defensive play in the playoffs with this staff. I mean if you want to talk about last year's Divisional round fiasco, I hear ya. But if there was one year that I would think they should get a pass, it's this year. Don't forget this was a very good defense the first 7 or so games. And they were minus Hyde & White at the time and playing rookie corners. Only once the injuries started to really pile up, did they start to look bad. They held Tua & Hill to very little a week after they went off on Baltimore. And 7 of the 21 points given up were gift wrapped by an offensive turnover inside our own 10. Held Lamar and the Ravens to 20, even though a 4 yard drive and a 12 yard drive resulted in 10 Ravens points because of turnovers. Held Mahomes and the Chiefs to 20, their 2nd lowest output of the season. All this was done on the road no less. They were a much better team before all the injuries to very good players happened.
