  1. I think many of us watch both teams play. No need to trash one Buffalo team to support another. Besides that, I agree with your comments about this Sabres team being entertaining and the future does indeed look bright.
  2. Steve Tasker, 7 time Pro Bowler, 7 time first team All-Pro doesn’t make the cut. Tony Boselli, whose entire career was only 6 years does. Uh, sure that adds up. 👎
  3. Janis Joplin Ann Wilson Grace Slick Joni Mitchell You bunch of sexists
  4. Levi Wallace mic’d up against the *Patriots. Gotta love the camaraderie on this team.
  5. #3 LOL. Hope you feel better soon, Virgil.
  6. Always loved him, long before he became synonymous with video games. RIP, John.
  7. Thanks for the great post, as usual, @Shaw66. I really appreciate the effort that you make to get your write-up to the board in a timely manner, while the game is still fresh in our minds. I agree with the players that you singled out for platitudes and would like to add that Singletary ran hard yesterday and has really stepped up in the last month. Go Bills!
  8. The first rule of Snub Club is that we take out all frustrations on *New England.
  9. Spencer Brown is a sunburst in a league of grey. So glad we drafted this kid, I think his career is going to be full of memorable moments that fans will love him for.
  10. I like word chains (word games and oddities of any kind really, serves me well as an author). In my twenties I had a band called Bar Stool Pigeons. When I joined this life-altering site my youngest son was a toddler and we had a Chevy minivan (He turned 20 in September, Bob Dylan was right, “Time is a jet plane, it moves too fast.”). Of course, the eternal voice of the Bills needs no explanation. Thus, ChevyVanMiller was hatched into the universe.
  11. Man, that’s extreme. A bah-humbug to that employer.
  12. Merry Christmas to all of my Bills brothers and sisters.
  13. I read a great idea where a group of 17 friends get together this time every year and go have breakfast at a greasy spoon type diner. They rotate the restaurant every year. Each one of them brings a $100 bill. Usually the total food bill comes to around $300 and they lay the $1700 down and tell the waitress to have a Merry Christmas. I thought it was a great idea to really impact someone’s life and individually it doesn’t cost each person that much.
  14. Here’s an amazing quote about Owen Power by John Vogl from his Sabres Mailbag column in the Athletic. https://theathletic.com/3018447/2021/12/17/sabres-mailbag-whats-owen-powers-upside-how-much-impact-will-alex-tuch-have-is-ukko-pekka-luukkonen-up-for-good/ Hey John. Thank you for doing this. So, if Owen Power becomes a legit top-pair defenseman, does that allow the Sabres to maybe slide Rasmus Dahlin down to the second pair? In my opinion, it may help Dahlin’s performance. — Jim P. I spent a weekend in Michigan this month watching Power. I’ve purposely been guarding my words. I’ve written so many stories during the past two decades about prospects who never panned out that I didn’t want to overhype another kid who might not reach stardom. But it’s time to let loose. Power will be the Sabres’ top defenseman — in a hurry. While I didn’t see Dahlin play live in Sweden as a prospect, I can’t imagine he dominated his peers in every phase of the game like Power does. The 6-foot-6 blueliner simply exudes skill, size, control, calm and hockey IQ. He’s continuously noticeable at both ends of the ice, even when he’s not having his best game. The wise play will be to ease Power into the NHL at the end of this season with second- or third-pair minutes, but it won’t take long before everyone realizes the 19-year-old can handle the toughest jobs. And, yes, that will allow Dahlin to excel in easier matchups.
  15. John Lennon’s heroin enhanced experimental track is quite creepy. Of course, once you spin it backwards, the creepy quotient goes up considerably. ”Turn me on, dead man, turn me on.”
  16. Write your own punchline?
  17. I read this on Twitter and it literally made me LOL: Malcolm Subban Sabres starter 12/2/21 - 12/4/21 A moment of silence for the future considerations lost.
  18. “The cantaloupe farmer that throws it farther?”
  19. I think they thought that a tired Tokarski was a much better option than a rested Dell.
  20. The future looks bright. Tage is blossoming right before our eyes and Jack Quinn is tearing up the AHL, while Owen Power is dominating at Michigan. Hang tight Sabres fans, the dark days are in the rear view mirror.
