  1. Thanks. I also needed to click on "satallite."
  2. I must be the only idiot that can't get this to work. When I drag the guy to a street he just pops back to where he started. What am I doing wrong?
  3. It's finally here - Christmas morning for football junkies. With all of the depressing talk of the very real reality of the Bills moving away once Ralph kicks the bucket I'm going to go on record with the following vow: No matter what the Bills do today, I'm going to be okay with their decisions. No bitching, no complaining, no "but my Our Lads says this guy is a reach." If the day comes when the Bills are gone, draft day, which I've enjoyed for decades, will be dead to me. So I raise a glass to you my Bills brothers and sisters and stand with you to salute this team that matters to us in the deepest depths of our souls one more time. Salute!

  5. You make a valid point, but would those guys all peacefully coexist on one team? For instance, would Rivers be content to sit 3rd on the depth chart? How about Lee as a 3rd down slot receiver? A lot of guys become stars in the league because there is little talent ahead of them on the roster when they are drafted. That wouldn't be the case in this scenario. Plus, there would be no one to pull Rookie pranks.
  6. Every year as I look at the draft guides I can't help but think that there are a whole host of guys that would help the Bills at various positions. With that thought in mind, here's the question: You are the GM of an expansion team. The NFL gives you two choices to stock your team. The first is the way that it has usually been done - you get the top pick in each round and a supplemental draft where teams have to leave X amount of players unprotected. Or, you can have the first 53 selections in the draft. The only caveat is that you must fill out a standard roster with those picks. For example, you would pick 3 QB's, 4 RB's, 5 WR's etc. You couldn't select the top 10 O-Linemen and then deal them to other teams for players. You'd also be exempted from the salary cap. Would you take that deal? You'd have an all-rookie team, but with higher average picks then the rest of the league by far. Could a team put together like that be exceptional? Btw, I've debated it out and find pros and cons either way.
  7. Do you think a 3rd is enough to move back?
  8. Mock Draft Bills move back and pick WR Devin Thomas It's rare when you find a mock that speculates on trades. It seems reasonable that, considering what the Bills need and where they pick, a trade back could happen. Do you like the scenario that they have here?
  9. "Well, officers, I was just making my rounds when this sew-and-sew went all Britany flashing her undersmile at me and I tanked it into the canal. He sure does clean up nice though."
  10. This just in...Forbes has made my listing of the 10 Most Miserable Magazines, coming in at #2. Tiger Beat took top honors as they were the only ones with worse writers than Forbes.
  11. I had this thought after Johns was booted: Instead of voting for the best (or worst, ie Sanjaya sp?) how about voting for the person that does a song with a prophetic meaning if they're booted? It happens all the time - I remember a couple of years ago someone got botted after singing "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" by Boys II Men. This week it was Johns with "Dream On." He sang the lyric "Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away." Sure enough he did - albeit two days later because of the "Gives Back" special. Just a thought, but it would make viewing alot more interactive.
  12. No way do the Bills go Guard at #11. Even in a year where OL is a big priority (not the case now) #11 is LT $$$ - not guard. It's funny how a slow 40 time drops a guy a full round. Three days ago every mock had the Bills taking Kelly at #11 - now everyone thinks he'll be there at 41. I think he'll be nothing but a memory by the 21st pick. Sweed seems more likely at 41. As for everything else you've got - I'd take it in a New York minute. Hey, you asked for eggs and tomatoes.
  13. Okay, if it wasn't in both the title and thread itself I'd let it go, but no soup for you. It's Green Bay - two words, both capitalized.
  14. Prostitution should not be criminal. Paid for by the Committee to keep Eliot Spitzer out of jail. "I'm Eliot Spitzer and I approve of this message."
  15. Great pics. I'm glad you're both doing well.
  16. More about it HERE
  17. Old Buddy Hackett joke: George Burns, now there's a guy with class. George actually steps out of the shower to take a piss.
  18. I'm in the lobby of the Hilton in Niagara Falls, Ontario and they've turned off all of the lobby lights except auxillary lighting. The Fallsview Casino has dimmed their great dome and the Skylon Tower is dark. All in all, very cool. Go Mother Earth!
  19. Thanks we can use all the help we can get. Btw, at the next meeting we are attempting to arrange a speaker from the return home to Buffalo organization. It's a concept where expatriates are encouraged to all return home during the same week to wax nostalgic about the old days and find out ways they can either land a good paying job and return or lend a hand in the renaissance from where they are now. We're going to try nd set the same thing up for Niagara Falls. I know that in my 8 years with the newspaper, I've had countless emails from people saying "If I could only find a job making even 3/4 of what I'm making now, I'd be back in a heartbeat." Keep the faith!
  20. I think it was Jefferson Avenue
  21. There is a grand plan. What you see now is what we are calling "low hanging fruit" - things that we could get going quickly so that the group wasn't just talking (or, more to the point, bitching).
  22. The site will be redone shortly. We are going to add some blogs as well. Let me know when you're visiting again. Maybe you can make a meeting then.
  23. Maybe this should be on the Polls, Politics board. If so, mods please move. Thanks
  24. I know that some of you on this site live in Niagara Falls or are originally from there. As you know the city is in deplorable shape. Last year I started a group to try and give the people a way to make a difference - as it was obvious that government wasn't going to right the ship alone. What started as an idea has grown into a full-blown movement with over 70 people working on four sub-groups. Our next meeting is Tuesday, April 29th at 6:00 PM at the Day's Inn, 443 Main street, Niagara Falls. Please consider this an open invitation to attend if you care about the future of Niagara Falls. Thanks, Frank Thomas Croisdale (Chevyvanmiller) You can find out more at Niagara Rises
  25. Simon and Garfunkle reference - nice! I'll bring Parsley, Rosemary and Thyme if the Bills get Sage.
