  1. Gotta think Nix will go, too, seeing as how he went on record saying he wanted continuity with Gailey. Can't imagine he'd throw him under the bus just to stay on.
  2. I thought I saw him in one shot on the broadcast - of course I was watching on the internet, so it may have been Mary Friona
  3. This sums up my experience as a fan of the team. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvzdehnJA9k
  4. Nice! Come on people, give me a few more that should have made the list!
  5. 10.) Chan Gailey forgoes his normal game day threads for a Shoeless Joe jersey. 9.) Jairus Byrd sent out to field punts wearing a blindfold. 8.) Marcell Dareus put at WR and told to just “go long” on every play. 7.) Pre-game pep talk delivered by Coach from South Korean Women’s Olympic Badminton team. 6.) Stevie Johnson caught spraying his hands with no-stick Pam during warm-ups. Click below to see the top 5 http://niagarahub.com/2012/12/28/pre-snap-reads-anything-but-a-win-against-the-jets/
  6. Just want to wish all of my Bills' brothers and sisters a very Merry Christmas! Your support and encouragement of the 1st year of the Bills' Thrills column has been overwhelming. Our return to football glory will come, but I think being connected as Bills' fans is a pretty amazing gift, don't you? This week's column is a bit of a hodgepodge - it's a bit of a recap of the game, a bit of a look at the QBs available in the draft and a list of 5 great gifts for the Bills' fan on your list. Here are 4 of the 5 (I have them all, btw) Without looking, can you guess the 5th? (Here's a hint: It's almost impossible to buy one now, as they never come up for sale. You'd probably need to know a gangster to get your hands on one.) 2.) A Joe DeLamielleure HOF Bobblehead 3.) A case of Andre Reed’s “Over the Middle” BBQ Sauce 4.) A Cassette tape of Marv Levy’s “Go Bills” anthem 5.) An unopened box of Flutie Flakes http://niagarahub.co...-fish-in-miami/
  7. Bells Supermarkets had that promotion. I remember bringing my binoculars so that I could see the wedding ring on Swen Nater's sneakerlaces.
  8. Thank you for putting the season's failures in perspective. Kinda pales when compared to the lives our service personnel are living overseas. Welcome home, thank you and may all of your comrades come home soon, too.
  9. Well, there is a game on Sunday – you know, “Squish the Fish,” and all that jazz. The two teams aren’t playing for anything other than draft order. Sure, Miami is still mathematically alive for the playoffs, but so are the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA and you know there’s no chance of that happening. This week, our Pre-Snap reads look will be one made backward as we list the “5 Most Hated Dolphins of All-Time.” http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/category/nfl-football/
  10. I'm with Promo. It's a much better deal than I ever envisioned them getting done. It secures the team for 7 solid years and gives the area 2,556 days to figure out how to finance a new stadium to keep them here forever (maybe with a new owner that will hire competent people). Great job by Mark Poloncarz! Thank you!
  11. Love the Braves. Who remembers going to games at the old Aud watching players like McAdoo, Smith, Ernie D and more? http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=400278108
  12. Just to clarify: The column is 5 moves that I would make now - as in over the last two games of the season. There are a host more - and you've touched on many - that I would do in the off-season. If I was in charge, Gailey would be gone now, so that I have the first hop in cherry-picking the young coach/college coach field, Nix would be told that it's Whaley's team the second the game with the Jets is through. Lots of great ideas being put forth, though. Too bad the Bills don't create a Fan Forum and get some input from their shareholders on the big decisions.
  13. If the Bills had waited until the end of last season to resign Fitz - and I'm not faulting them for striking when they did, based on the numbers he was putting up at the time - he would have signed for half of what he did - maybe less. So, based on his career numbers, it's a King's contract for sure.
  14. Fitz has a career QB rating of just 76.7, with nearly a 1-1 TD to INT ratio. He also fumbles 4 times per year and has a lowly win percentage of 0.356. He's not mediocre - he's below par and he turned 7 games into a golden parachute - You gotta hand it to those Harvard guys!
  15. Thanks for the comments, Beerball, all on the mark. The point I'm making with Jackson is I can envision them not playing him in the last two games, then trying to sell him as a plausible alternative to Fitz next year. I'd rather they shed themselves of that disillusion right now.
  16. Love watching Rubio play. He's the closest thing to the master of them all - Pistol Pete - and they look a bit alike, too.
  17. "The entire season has been a huge regression for a team with playoff aspirations. The easy schedule turned into a Herculean task that proved to be an epic failure for both the coaches and the players. The franchise QB has turned out to be a commoner with a King’s contract." http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/category/nfl-football/
  18. Thought I'd have a little fun with two of my favorite (favourite?) SCTV characters. "Bob McKenzie: What a big week, eh? American football – that’s with 4 downs and no 55-yard line – comes to Canada for a big showdown at Rogers Centre – that’s with an “re” at the end, you American hosers." http://niagarahub.fa...y/nfl-football/
  19. That, and the 58 point spanking they laid down last week, I think it's safe to lean the Seahawks way this week.
  20. "We're using each other as references on our resumes, right?"
