  1. Independence Day is on July 4th this year.
  2. I heard it on WGR, I think. Sorry no clip, but I'm sure that's what he said.
  3. Buddy said, in a sound clip, that it went "very bad," with Dansby. I got the feeling that he wanted a lot more money than they were offering.
  4. Can any of you tech heads explain how 3D printers work in layman's terms so Philistines like me can understand the technology? Thanks in advance.
  5. Best bikes ever. Double forks, 3 ft. high sissy bar. banana seat. Man, I was Peter Brady cool circa 1976. LOL
  6. Pretty wild that he paid only $450,000 for it in 2009. I'm guessing that the real estate agent bumped it so high figuring a SU football junkie would pay a premium to live in the former coaches house, no?
  7. Won a lot of Scrabble games with those two
  8. Was looking up WKBW DJ Joey Reynolds for a research project and came across this little nugget of info concerning him and Danny Neaverth. Reynolds and Neaverth, on behalf of WKBW, were offered the chance to bring The Beatles to Buffalo Memorial Auditorium on February 10, 1964, the day after the band had appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. It would have been the Beatles' first concert in North America. Unwilling to risk the $3500 appearance fee for a Monday night concert, in the poor February weather, for an unproven band he did not expect to sell out the auditorium, the two declined the offer. It was not until after Beatlemania swept the nation that they acknowledged that it was a mistake to not bring them in. In the three years the band toured North America, they never performed a show in Buffalo.[2] Oh, what might have been...
  9. Here's a kid with a great attitude. After reading this I'm pulling for him to have a nice career (except when he plays the Bills, of course). http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/ravens-third-round-pick-brandon-williams-goes-portable-135958683.html
  10. These two guys were getting some buzz as possible late-rd QB prospects. Dysert went in the 7th to the Broncos: http://www.muredhawks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=26100&ATCLID=207454263 Lalich, as far as I can tell, wasn't drafted and wasn't signed as an UDFA. Suprising, considering that the kid may have had the best arm in the class: http://www.dailyprogress.com/cavalierinsider/football/former-uva-qb-lalich-hopes-nfl-dreams-come-true-this/article_8acc577c-ade8-11e2-b0a2-0019bb30f31a.html
  11. This is what Kiper said in listing him as one of the top UDFAs: CB Nickell Robey, signed by Buffalo Bills What hurt Robey is he lacks size -- at about 5-8, 170 -- and simply didn't work out well enough. Still, the tape shows a competitive guy who was effective in shutting down big receivers such as former Notre Dame star Michael Floyd, who had his worst game of 2011 while dealing with Robey. I have a feeling once Robey gets into OTAs, the Bills will see a guy who competes beyond his size. He's not a star, but he can play.
  12. Thought it was a movie about this DC hero, but that is way cooler! atom.bmp
  13. EJ impressed the team by throwing well in awful weather during workout. That's good news. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9230958/ej-manuel-impressed-buffalo-bills-good-workout-bad-weather
  14. I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but if it hasn't Buddy said that when he talked with Rogers during their pre-deaft visit he addressed his legal issues by saying, "If you want to work for an hourly wage for your life that's available to you, but if you want to play in the NFL you need to take it seriously right now." I thought it was great advice for a young man looking to redeem himself.
  15. Was going to make this point, but you made it perfectly so I'll just say: +1
  16. Funny thing about the draft downgrading is that most of the experts had the Bills taking Nassib or Barkley in the 1st and would have given them a much higher grade if they had. Yet, both of them lasted until the 4th round so if they had been taken in the 1st rd the Bills would have WAY overreached for them. Bottom line is that the Bills got the guy they wanted and f*ck Kiper and the rest of that lot.
  17. I know it's splitting hairs, but can you be the steal of the draft when you weren't drafted? I think steal of the post-draft would be the proper verbage. With that said, I hope the kid becomes a superstar.
  18. I'd have loved to see the Bills do this, but I know they'd: never pick their own QB at the top of the board instead of Kiper's, take a polished WR in the 2nd instead of waiting 'til the late rounds, take a 2nd WR who is the fastest guy in the draft, grab a hard-hitting Safety over a guy Marrone had a Syracuse, take the top kicker in the draft and grab a TE in Rd. 7 who runs like a gazelle. I must be dreaming...
  19. Curious about the "R" in Robert Moses' name. I've never seen a middle initial associated with him. A quick Google search showed no mention of it - even his tombstone says, simply: Robert Moses. Considering what is happening with the parkway named after him in Niagara Falls maybe it stands for "Rip it up."
  20. I offered this in this post back on march 27th: "A new attitude of excellence." I'm looking smarter by the minute.
  21. Marrone sure must not think much of his Syracuse players. First passing on nassib and now Thomas.
