  1. Roy Clark playing "Malaguena" on the old Odd Couple show. How did he possibly do that without breaking a string on his Martin guitar?
  2. Here's a much higher-quality version of that video (HD has spoiled my eyes). Love the move where he leans into the crowd and is held up by a roadie while soloing. Is Dani Harrison a near-clone of George, or what?
  3. When I saw the headline "interesting tweet," I thought he was teasing the changing of his jersey number/
  4. No anger - Just can't imagine an aging vet that has had no FA suitors "joking" about being resigned to his old team and including the name of the GM. I think it was an ill-advised tweet.
  5. pffffttttt...The sound of the last of credibility being released from Nick Barnett's NFL career.
  6. If the tweet is actually from his account then it has to be legit. There's no way Nick would joke about something like that with his NFL career hanging in the balance. I don't think the Bills or any other NFL team would see the humor.
  7. I know this is from '67, but I hope no one will complain.
  8. As a Frank only who has often been called Franklin or Francis - thanks!
  9. I think that playing in the Arena League surely qualifies one as a journeyman pro.
  10. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9116035/buffalo-bills-agree-quarterback-kevin-kolb-sources It's 2 years, $13 Million (in case that update hasn't been posted yet)
  11. Read about this in the Buffalo News today and went to check out the video. Ray Collins, former Buffalo Newscaster and St. Bonaventure tennis player, was invited to play one point in a celebrity tennis foursome in Florida. He was paired with Andy Murray and they played against Men's #1 Novak Djokovic and women's top player, Anna Ivanovic. They got a great rally going with much net play and Collins ended it with a great behind-the-back shot that caught Djokovic flat-footed. Pretty cool to be able to say you schooled the world's #1 player, don't you think?
  12. That's really wonderful - thanks for posting!
  13. I thought this was interesting: Soccer player retired after coming out because he said it would have been "impossible" to be a pro footballer and be openly gay. Hope that doesn't happen to whatever NFL player(s) come out. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1391576/robbie-rogers:-coming-out-in-football-'impossible,%22-report-says?cc=5901
  14. I really feel bad for turning you on to that dreck, Tom. Here's an amazing duo using unconventional rock instruments to recreate a classic that I hope will help make Ms. Black's screeching fade just a bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-5XOCMpUwA
  15. It's a traditional Korean 12-string instrument, but her playing style is very non-traditional and transcendent. Jimi would have loved it. Prepare to have a big smile on your face..
  16. Fixed - thanks for the catch. As a writer, mistakes like that drive me crazy, too.
  17. "A new attitude of excellence." (hey, I'm an optimist.)
  18. I started the thread in hopes that it would show that fans have no issue with sexuality and it certainly looks like they don't, which is a great statement on the progress we've made in just a couple of short decades in this country. I do think that this person is going to have a more difficult time of it then some of you may imagine. After all, the NFL did just have to chastise its own teams for illegally asking some draft eligible players is they were gay. I also wonder if some teammates might refuse to shower with the guy due to the pseudo-macho climate of the locker room. I guess the question I should have asked is: Considering that it's estimated that 10% of the overall population is gay, do you think this man's courage will lead to the other 160 or so gay NFL players to come out? Would be an empowering move for many if they did. (Just read above where there are stats saying the number is just 2% - whatever the numbers, I still hope all players can feel free to be who they are).
  19. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000153377/article/active-nfl-player-reportedly-considers-saying-hes-gay If it was a Bill would it change your opinion of him?
  20. I'm really sorry for posting that Tom. I get the sense that you'd never heard the song before and I unleashed the evil ear locust on you. I'll do an extra year or two in purgatory for that one.
  21. "I told RG III, it's not like throwing to Pierre Garcon or Santana Moss, but I don't think anyone could tackle her if you want to hire her," Frisco (the elphant's handler) told the newspaper. We need receivers - get 'er done Buddy! http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9099723/robert-griffin-iii-tosses-football-elephant-ringling-bros-barnum-bailey-circus
  22. Welcome - if your subsequent posts live up to the quality of your first one you're going to be a welcome addition to the discussion here. I can't argue with your logic, but I find myself thinking that the one huge error this franchise has made througout its existence is to neglect the drafting of a 1st Rd. QB. If they think Barkley, Smith, Nassib or heck, someone like Landry, Glennon or Manuel is THE guy - they need to roll the bones and take him. I won't ever criticize the Bills for being bold and being wrong - it's passivity that has screwed this team for decades.
  23. This song makes me want to skip the whole weekend and embrace Monday.
