  1. The look on the face of the Cardinals' fielder is priceless... http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/video/sportsmin-fans-huge-glove-snags-050000872.html
  2. For me Summerall and football are synonymous. RIP Pat.
  3. Here's how she's looking today. http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/04/16/pamela-anderson-pics-beauty-show_n_3091434.html?icid=maing-grid7%7Ccanada%7Cdl5%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D298936
  4. Again, I apologize for taking the thread on such a tangent. In an attempt to bring it back full-circle let me offer this followed by a question: In the piece they say that the Bills shouldn't reach for a QB at 8. If Geno is there ESPN believes that the Bills should only take him if they believe he is a franchise QB and not, simply, better than Kolb in the short-term. (Duh!) Last night, Buddy told John Murphy that there were 3 "great" NFL QBs in the draft. With that knowledge, is there any way the Bills don't take one of those 3 at 8 and gamble that one of them will still be there in Rd. 2?
  5. He did and mine changed, too.
  6. Trent was never right after he took that shot to the head (was it against KC?) Too bad, he looked like a mid-round steal there for a little while.
  7. I don't want to hijack the entire thread, but as a writer I can tell you that you cannot, regardless of whether or not you credit the author, copy and paste an entire piece. In this case it is especially egregious because it is from a paid section of the ESPN site - meaning they don't even give it away for free. Normally, you want to post a paragraph or two from the piece along with a link back to the original source. In this case, that would be moot because only someone with ESPN Insider would be able to open it anyway. Okay, enough of me on the soapbox, I now return you to your normally scheduled 2013 draft thread.
  8. That's from ESPN Insider - uncool to post the entire copyrighted piece. Just sayin'
  9. The Howard Stern Show recently replayed an interview he did in 2002 after his book came out. He claimed to have a genius IQ and to have bagged a lot of girls off of his Beaver fame. Made a lot of money in the stock market. Seemed like a nice guy. RIP
  10. Sometime soon go have a Steak and Cheese Sub from Mariposa's on Military Road in the Falls. Your mouth will want to spoon with you afterward.
  11. Loved this from the comment section of the article: His nickname, forevermore, shall be Dowtin Abbey.
  12. R.I.P. Jonathan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XynxTU8ovZ8
  13. Wonder what he graded Marino at? I also don't think Jimbo was ever 6'3" - that's a generous measurement.
  14. Agree wholeheartedly. I thought that Luck made the wrong decision by coming back for his senior year when he was going to be the 1st overall pick as a junior. It worked out for him, but it was a multi-million dollar risk. yes, I know these guys get huge insurance contracts to protect them against a career-threatening injury in college, but that wouldn't heal the pain of missing out on getting selected #1 overall and getting to be the new face of a floundering franchise.
  15. The question you have to ask yourself is: Is the juice worth the squeeze?
  16. I know Joe is originally from the Philly area, so I guess Long Island is much closer to home. It's a big loss for NU. Joe's teams have often been among the top class of the MAAC. I live in Lewiston and have ran into him a number of times around town. A truly nice guy who has been a great asset to the community.
  17. I guess it's not until they reach the mighty mite division that they're taught to fight the guys on the OTHER team.
  18. It's actually a Bob DiCesare column. Interesting though, wonder if Golisano is really behind it?
  19. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=9129589 I know this is in this thread somewhere, but I caught a replay of it this weekend and E.J. was very impressive. Seems like a guy that the Bills should think long and hard about.
  20. Best joke of the Monica Lewinsky scandal: Jay Leno - Things actually got worse for President Clinton today - he was sued by famed magician David Copperfield. Copperfield claims that he invented and holds the exclusive rights to the disappearing cigar trick. Ba-dum-ba!
  21. I find the need to take in some heart-warming stories to combate all the violent and criminal ones that dominate the news. This one did the trick today, hope you enjoy it, too... http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9142300/jack-hoffman-7-scores-nebraska-cornhuskers-spring-game
  22. Glad to be of service.
  23. Here's a really nice tribute from the Buffalo News' Jeff Simon. Talks a lot about Ebert's great writing. http://buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130404/CITYANDREGION/130409620
  24. Weren't drafted by the team they play on now.
