  1. I think you're probably right about the genius part. Watching it back I think he's going for a Tommy Smothers type of befuddlement and he's hitting all of the right notes.
  2. His delivery needs some work, but the writing was top-notch. As Johnny used to say, "Good stuff."
  3. Respect right back 'atcha Thanks for the info, you're inclination makes sense to me.
  4. Just wondering if anyone knows the story of the similarities between the logos of the Bills and Howard University? Howard has been around since 1893, so it would appear that the Bills lifted the logo from them when they ash-canned the old standing buffalo logo in the early '70s. Anyone know the story of how the current logo came to be?
  5. One more, Lunetta's in Buffalo makes an amazing Turkey Sub. They roast an actual turkey daily and hard-carve the meat. Awesome!
  6. Orton, play action pass to Chandler 20 yards down field, Chandler hook and ladder to a streaking ( clothes on ) Sammy Watkins for an 80-yard TD, Will never happen, but imagine how much you would freak if it did.
  7. What about the WGR app?
  8. What great news for Buffalo and Detroit. It is very heartening that people like Ralph, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and many others are giving large chunks of their money back to charitable causes. You can't take it with you - philanthropy rules! ( Here's a list of the heroes: http://givingpledge.org/) Thank you, Mr. Wilson.
  9. http://www.kavinokytheatre.com/ Went to the Kavinoky Theatre last night and saw the play Over the Tavern, It is set in 1959 Buffalo and it follows a Polish Catholic family. The youngest son is questioning Catholicism and clashes, hilariously, with the head nun at his school. The play was a laugh riot from start to finish and features a lot of local references, including a recurring subplot revolving around a take-out meal from Chef's that never seems to arrive. Due to overwhelming demand, the play has been extended through next week. The Kivinoky is a local gem - as plush as Shea's, but only 10 rows deep. Take your significant other, it's truly a night out that all Buffalo couples will enjoy together.
  10. Only Bills player cut for admitting that he didn't study the playbook at all during the week and cost the team a game. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
  11. Reminds me of a joke: Why did Tigger have his head in the toilet? He was looking for Pooh.
  12. When the sale process was underway, Pegula was continually described as a "cash-flush multibillionaire." Still can't get over the fact that he was OUR guy and not some ominous figure from Toronto or LA. Thank God for small miracles.
  13. I love Bocce, but Lahacienda in the Falls is soooo good.
  14. I made it 3 minutes in before clicking over to Red Tube, let me know how it ended up.
  15. Viola's in the Falls has the 2nd best Steak and Cheese subs on the planet. The first? Mariposa's on Military Road in the Falls. Mrs. Mariposa is about 90 years old and still works the grill. They don't have double steak like Viola's because they give you double on every sub. Try it the next time you're in the Falls, it will change your life.
  16. Heard somewhere that both injuries weren't serious ( fingers crossed). haha, it was driving me crazy when the announcer kept putting a hard "h" in Bradham. Kinda like Steve Tasker saying "vehicle."
  17. Love the Natalie Wood, James Dean shot as well as the Alien puppeteers and the Life of Pi meets the Niagara Falls Aquarium shot. http://all-that-is-i...es-iconic-films
  18. Even if Orton falls flat on his face, I will respect Marrone for pulling the trigger. It's almost unheard of in today's NFL. Most coaches would ride the First Round QB to their early NFL grave. Bravo, Doug!
  19. I bought Sirius Radio when Howard moved over. I still listen to his show most days when I'm in the car. I'm not much of a fan of the sycophants and "WhacK Pack" stuff ( Though, Bigfoot's manner of speech is highly addictive, it is) but, I think Howard is in a league by himself as far as interviews go. This year alone he has had amazing sit-downs with Paul McCartney, Graham Nash, Lady Gaga, Francis Ford Coppolla, just to name a few. His interviews are some of the most insightful and deep-reaching that most of these subjects ever give. By the way, the recent replay of his interview with Vincent Gallo and the vitriol that the native son has for Buffalo was radio gold. Furthermore, Howard has never been more relevant. By going on AGT and reinventing himself as a tough judge with a heart of gold has endeared him to millions of new fans. He has gone from angry young man to wise elder statesman - much like many of you on this board. RIP Eric!
  20. Bolts short-circuited, Bills electrify the crowd, 3 and 0, baby!
  21. Man, I would have rather clicked on that and saw a pic of the Peter Pan guy.
  22. Just had to add this piece of info to this discussion. Two days ago Schopp actually said on the air that he would NOT have purchased the Bills if he had the money to do so. Let that sink in for a minute. The #1 drive-time anchor on Buffalo's #1 sports talk station would NOT have saved the team that ensures his employment in this market. He cited the concussion issues with the league as a reason that it would be a bad investment. I think it was heresy, considering that there isn't one true fan of the team that wouldn't have done what Pegula did if he/she had the resources to do so, and the station should have canned him immediately.
  23. Wander is often a guest on Koshinski's show on WBBZ and he's still as sharp as a tack.
  24. My buddy, Country Music Singer Jb Aaron, is singing the National Anthem this Sunday at the game. Jb is a huge Bills fan and is excited to help set the tone for a Chargers beatdown. Check out his audition in the fieldhouse. Sorry, it's an embedded post that's not loading. For those that have FB, here's a link: https://www.facebook...535387303255027 He's going to bring the house down.
