  1. It's believed that North Koren is upset about the upcoming movie "The Interview," an R-rated comedy, "in which James Franco and Seth Rogen play two journalists who land a rare interview with Kim Jong Un and are recruited by the CIA to take him out." This sort of hacking could cripple the motion picture industry. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/12/01/north-koreas-cyberwar-on-james-franco-and-seth-rogan/
  2. Just so you know, I mention TBD/TSW in EVERY interview that I give when I'm given the chance, It's harder to do with TV/Radio because they ask specific questions that call for targeted answers. John and I did talk about both having intimate knowledge of this site, but I understand that his responsibility is to get the info about Darryl and the fund out beyond anything else. Just know that I realize that this site played and continues to play an integral part in making this miracle happen and you all have my deep love and respect.
  3. I'll be on http://www.610cktb.com/ at 2:45 PM today to talk about the amazing outpouring of love for Darryl Talley. Click the link to listen live.
  4. Just an update - Darryl is in Boston at MGH, the national leaders in CTE research. Hopefully, it's the first step in helping him get the medical care that he needs.
  5. The City of Orlando is blown away by the amazing way Bills fans have Rallied for Talley. http://www.clickorlando.com/news/video-bills-fans-raise-141k-for-darryl-talley/30007170

  7. Thanks for the plug, Poojer. Nearing $140,000 now and the donations for Darryl keep coming. Thank you all.
  8. Of all places, the Talley Fund story was picked up in Abu Dhabi. Turns out we've raised Dh367,000 LOL http://www.thenational.ae/blogs/kit-bag/buffalo-bills-fans-raise-dh367000-in-two-days-for-retired-nfl-player-darryl-talley

  13. Had a great talk with Janine this morning as I was driving in to the Ralph. There will be an announcement soon and I can't spoil the surprise, but it's good news. The stadium was awesome today with love for Darryl and with what you all have done with the GoFundMe campaign. I had a great time hanging out with Hammered and what I witnesssed up close with the ketchup and mustard ritual will haunt my dreams forever, The burning of the Whitner jersey in effigy was as cool as it gets. Here is the quote that Janine sent me to post as an update: A message from Janine Talley: "Our hearts have been touched by the incomprehensible kindness of people throughout the country, Through tears of joy, every single comment has been read and they have been a source of great comfort. Darryl's purpose is to bring awareness to the fact that there are many former NFL players who suffer similar circumstances. Frank Croisdale's idea has ignited a movement that was inspired by the brilliant story-telling of Tim Graham."
  14. I'm going to respond to this thread one time and I'm only going to do it because I've been a member here for a long time and I have tremendous respect for the guy that started and runs it and the people that post here. I've been knee-deep in this for the past 36 hours and I've heard or read every argument that has been made pro or con. I respect everyone's opinion on whether they should donate or not and wish everyone else felt the same way. One thing that I would like to make clear is that Darryl Talley doesn't deserve anyone's harsh words because of this fund. I did something that I never do in life, I made a quick decision to launch something and I put it out into the world. Darryl didn't ask for any monies and last night I had a very emotional conversation with his wife about how torn they are: One one hand they are overwhelmed by the love sent their way and on the other they just don't know how they can accept such a generous outpouring that they didn't ask for. If what has happened causes anyone the need to lash out with words they can send them my way. It's my impetus and it's my burden to bear, the Talleys are innocent of blame. With that said, the kind words and love have outweighed that 100 to 1. The Bills were the top story on ESPN today and they didn't even play a game. It had nothing to do with murders, drug busts or any other scandal. It was all about the unprecedented donations being sent in from all over America by people united in their love of one man and his family. Despite the fund reaching its goal and the man it is intended for saying that he can't see how he can accept it, it just keeps rolling on. If you can't find some beauty and solace in that notion, I hope some day you will. To the OP, Tipster, thank you for your good intentions. To the rest of you I ask a favor, however you may feel about the merits of donating to Darryl, please put it aside for now. On Sundays we have the rest of the NFL to fight and on the other days of the week it often seems it's us against the rest of the nation. Let's not fight amongst each other when the subject is one of our own.
  15. Haha, I'll try. $1,000 if I mention crayonz or the peter pan guy?
  16. I talked with ESPN tonight, it appears that I'll be interviewing with Sal Palantonio from the field tomorrow.
  17. Everything is back up and running with the Go Fund Me page. Evidently, once you eclipse $100,000 there is some new verification to be done. Thanks to all of you, that is a nice problem to have. If anyone tried to donate earlier and couldn't they can now. Please keep the messages coming on the site to the Talleys. I know they are being seen and felt.
  18. Will do. Hearing from fans and that they want the family to have the money is helping, I believe.
  19. Just got off the phone with Darren Rovell from ESPN. The interview will be the feature story on ESPN.com in about 30 minutes. He told me what has happened is unprecedented in sports history.
  20. When USA Today picks up the story, it's truly everywhere across this great nation. Never been more proud to be a fan of the Buffalo Bills. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/11/darryl-talley-buffalo-bills
  21. Thanks, Jay. It's amazing how many outlets are stepping up and promoting what the fans are doing.
  22. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2014/11/28/darryl-talley-family-overpowered-bills-fans-emphatic-display-love/ Pretty much what Janine told me tonight. I understand the position they are in and respect the pride that they carry themselves with. I believe, in the end, we'll figure out the best way to use the money for their benefit.
  23. Just talked with a rep from the site. No need to increase the amount. Donations will continue and it will just show as a +100% amount of the goal.
  24. Just passed $80,000 in less than 44 hours and it's actually picking UP steam. Unbelievable! Thank you everyone.
