  1. "The Patriots are the football equivalent of too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere: they're in for a long, hard drought, but their fans are trying to convince themselves that it's just a short-term setback." "Bills' fans can take heart in the fact that this is not your father's New England Patriot squad that will invade RWS this Sunday (nor your slightly older brother's, for that matter). For starters, these Patriots come in with a losing record of 1-2 and it is a record that they rightfully deserve after losing to Arizona at home and blowing a two-score 4th quarter lead against the Ravens last week." http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/category/nfl-football/
  2. Happy for such a class guy to find a new home so quickly, but hard to see him in this uni.
  3. Two things: The first is that I'm surprised that the NFL.com page printed Jackson's "WTF" tweet. I know it's shorthand, but it is still an obscinity and if a player uttered the same aloud he would probably get fined. Second, is that Moorman holding on kicks is more of an immediate concern for me with this move. he is rock solid there and I hope we don't see Lindell have issues. Will Powell hold or is there someone else on the roster that has that skill set?
  4. If it's real, it's a shocker! Powell did look strong, so maybe it will solidify the position for the next decade.
  5. Come on, no takers on the Banned Books challenge?
  6. Thanks, I appreciate the kind words.
  7. Here are my Bills game balls - along with a special challenge for the more literate of you http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/category/nfl-football/
  8. Bills' Nation ponders, Just what can Brown do for you? Lose Cleveland, just lose.
  9. Bills/Browns preview is up with a bit of love for my TBD brothers and sisters... http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/category/nfl-football/
  10. Thought this ws the most interesting part of the story: Young also contends that Pro Player's efforts to serve him and the Bills with legal papers during training camp, which included a threat to contact the local sheriff, ''played a role'' in the Bills' decision to release him. ''I wasn't in the room when they (the Bills) made a decision, but what would you think? It certainly wouldn't help me if I'm the owner or the head coach knowing all this is going on with Vince and then he goes out and plays poorly,'' Dolezal said.
  11. He'll always be the voice of the NFL to me. R.I.P Steve
  12. My choices for game balls...anyone I forgot? http://niagarahub.fa...y/nfl-football/
  13. The Crowd at the Ralph yesterday (at least near my seats) was well-behaved. Not so much in Oakland as the faithful of the Silver and Black were throwing Haymakers at each other. Even the Raider chicks were heading home in steel bracelets. http://deadspin.com/5942608/some-fantastic-photos-of-a-fan-fight-at-the-raiders-game/gallery/1
  14. Just put the Bills-Chiefs preview up. Hope you enjoy. Frank http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/category/nfl-football/
  15. So sorry to hear about this tragic news. All of Western New York mourns for your loss, Marcell!
  16. Not to devolve this down to a food discussion, 5 Wide, but I really miss Vincenzo's too. I'll be doing Trusello's in a future week (maybe with an E. Antonio's comparison).
  17. Sure, it was ugly, but the Bills have plenty of time to turn it around. Here's my thoughts on who showed up and who no-showed. http://niagarahub.com/2012/09/10/bills-thrills-week-1-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly/
  18. Yes, but don't forget the stories that surfaced about the '90 team out partying until the wee wee hours prior to Super Bowl XXV - you know how that turned out!
  19. Didn't the team fly to New Jersey on Sat? How could they have been out anywhere here? I know a former DJ from one of the strip clubs in NF, Ont who has a number of stories about former Bills visiting his establishment. This post would seem to suggest something similar - I can't imagine a number of Bills visiting such a place on the eve of the opener.
  20. Thanks for the kind words guys. Will do my best to keep you entertained throughout the season.
  21. PS - If anyone is attending the game I'd love to run a pic from the stadium with Sunday night's column. Thx.
  22. Here is the first of a season-long installment of "Pre-Snap Reads" where I will take a look at the key match-ups in the upcoming game and make a prediction on how well the Bills will do. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Frank http://niagarahub.co...y/nfl-football/
  23. Rex in his glory Bills D-Line will leave the Jets Smelling like a foot
  24. I took a look at the final cuts and put together a team of 26 - 11 starters on both offense and defense and 4 specialists. Do you think this team (with adequate backups and above average coaching) could post at least an 8-8 record? Heck, could they win a single game? Would you trade any current Bills starter for any of these guys? (Two notes: WR was the hardest position as there are many "name" players available. I also chose Wallace over Vince Young, but you might want another shot with Vince instead). QB Seneca Wallace RB Tim Hightower FB Moran Norris WR Deion Branch WR Chad Johnson TE Kellen Winslow C Dan Koppen G Trai Essex G Jake Scott T Reggie Wells T Kareem McKenzie DT Dwan Edwards DT Amobi Okoye DE Vernon Gholston DE Andre Carter OL Clark Haggans OL Matt Roth ML E.J. Henderson CB Drayton Florence CB Alphonso Smith S O.J. Atogwe S/CB Joselio Hanson K John Kasay P Jeremy Kapinos LS Justin Snow KR D.J. Ware
