You have to blitz to keep the other team honest. It won't always work, but, IMO a necessity. If you don't believe so, think about this quote I heard from a German fellow at this year's Oktoberfest in Munich..... "sometimes you lose and sometimes the other guy wins"

Simply and well said. Another reason I liked us finally blitzing yesterday as it seems less Jauron Ball (trying not lose vs trying to win).

We did blitz more than most games (from the eye test). It was successful and helped bring pressure to keep the Chiefs on tilt. I liked it a lot!

Thanks for all your thoughts. I think he should have slid too. Its seems similar to catching a foul ball in baseball by a fan in an important and/or playoff game when the home team can make an out instead of the fan catching it. At the beginning of the game (the fan may) state if a foul ball is coming I will lay off it and let my team make the catch. But, when the game is happening live, you forget, get excited, human nature takes over and you try to catch it?! Hope that makes sense. And, yes fans think of this scenario in baseball more since the Bargman catch at Wrigley! Go Bills!
