  1. With math like that, I can see why you're still poor - its a donation of 0.001% - only barely significant but hey every dollar counts right?
  2. I don't know why but I have to say this - I like your style! And BTW - you CAN smoke that in here
  3. Why don't we wait til the Bills D faces an elite offense til we make this call? Or til they play an entire season instead of 5 games, many of which were against poor or average teams.
  4. Just a little optimistic this Monday morning, aren't we? At least you stopped short of crowning them SB champs
  5. No comeback player awards at this time. Just thank the powers that be that ww have a great FG kicker while Detroit does not. That's why we won.
  6. Agreed - 2 wins in the last 14 years says something. Let's hope the Bills can break out the mojo as its pretty clear from the record that Belicheck and Brady have owned the Bills (and the AFC East for that matter) over this time period
  7. It was the dark of moon On the 5th of june In a Kensworth Haulin hogs Sorry - pls forgive me
  8. Consider it a complement - at our age we've EARNED the right Consider it a complement - at our age we've EARNED the right
  9. Back on topic, take it from a California beer snob who's far too used to craft beers to drink crap. In buffalo, go to the BBC on transit or any other place that makes their own. Out here it's lagunitas - imagine dozen or more microbrew ales, some huge ones going up to 9%, including amazing IPAs. I toast you bills can with one such ale called a little sumpin sumpin. Mmmmm
  10. The DC Tom idiot badge of honor. C'mon let's just admit he's a cantankerous curmudgeonly old fart who likes to hate on people. Not like we don't deserve it.
  11. Geez -jboyst-- - tell us how you really feel - don't hold back now
  12. Really? I can't quote statistics and compare felonies, beatings, DUIs, etc on pro athletes vs the general public. But the many reports seem to imply that the rates of these seem to be way out of proportion (one might say an epidemic), and most certainly then the media coverage is NOT out of proportion. And to answer the original question as to why? Give an athlete praise, money, put them on a pedestal and worship his as a hero, and now add stress, alcohol, and a disagreement, and suddenly Mr. Hand turns into Mr. Fist or worse. Personal responsibility is gone - since the NFL and NFLPA ignored this for years, I am NOT going to blame the media for doing their job here. Character matters and most people don't want to work with felons or wife beaters.
  13. At the end of the day, opinions are like a##holes - everyone's got one and they all stink. The eventual outcome of AP's transgressions will inevitably be judged in the court of public opinion (OJ anyone?). But this aside, it will ultimately be decided by whoever has the higher priced legal team (too bad no planted gloves here or racist cops named Furman to help muddy the outcome). Ah American - where we talk about justice, freedom, and the American Dream and yet the reality is frequently quite different. Guess I better stop here before this goes to the PPP board
  14. The poll outcome mimics the red state stances and since I don't drink that KoolAid, all I'll say is that GW Bush takes the cake for two disputed elections (unless you still believe Obama is not a US Citizen). You can also thank Obama for health care coverage - hate all you want but I know PLENTY of people who are grateful to have their kids covered til they can try to get a decent paying job with benefits.
  15. Its been a long time since Detroit has seen a real football game in their fair city
  16. The 2010 Bills are BETTER than Detroit, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. AND we're NOT as disappointing as either Dallas (heehee) or the 49ers
  17. Au contraire! We are indeed a LONG way from the playoffs. The Bills are NOT blessed by being in one of the two of the weakest divisions in recent NFL history (AFC and NFC west). Instead look to OUR competition in the AFC East. The Pats are CLEARLY one of the best teams in the NFL and manage to maintain this position year after year. Behind them, there's the Jets who until the last 2 weeks were looking pretty good too. Heck, we couldn't even beat Miami. And as others have noted, we've only beaten teams that somehow look worse than us, and despite these pyrric victories we're still firmly entrenched in the cellar. So no kool aid for m. This team is what it is - entertaining, competitive, but ultimately they are as good as their record states and given ownership and salary issues they're not likely to be moving up any time soon.
  18. Jesus wept... And the Bills fans endure. Or as the Chief would say (from Josey Wales) - endeavor to persevere
  19. Been watching this team since game 1 this season and many many years befoiehand - no doubt they're they BEST of the 4 WORST teams in the league. They had not 1, not 2, but 3 legit chances to win this game. While I give them credit for being in games, 3 OT losses, etc., the fact remain that bad teams find ways to lose games. I love this team's compeititiveness, but more than anything I want to give a shout out to the true Bills fans who watch game after game, week after week, and still follow this team - semper fie Bills fans...
  20. wow - this is really close wish they'd hurry up
  21. ouch - thanks for bringing that one home BUT in this case, I'd pretty much guarantee a monkey could do bettter than W - even randomly it'd get something right
  22. How bout ole Hickory Andrew Jackson. His election victory party took days to break up and his admin was quite corrupt
  23. whats funnier than a polish joke? Having to explain it to someone
