I agree that the offense could be improved. But I don't see how they fix the defense and offense together in one off-season. One of the sides of the ball will suffer. They can't use free agency and they are losing a lot of free agents. Offense needs 3-4 WR's! And a RT. And who knows what the blocking scheme changes will do to players just getting better like John Miller.

But you're comparing TT to who, EJ? Kyle Orton? Watkins would be insane with a QB that could make every throw. We haven't had that.

Well, the offense is getting changed. Dennison runs a Kubiak offense. Which is great but no one knows how that would work with Tyrod. So don't assume everything will be the same. Also, Bills will have let Robert Woods (likely), Goodwin, Hogan, and Harvin all walk out the door. Who is going to catch the football? Do you assume Sammy is healthy? If you use your first pick on a WR then you have huge holes in your defense. When you pay Tyrod it leaves no money for free agency.

The Bills left an out in Tyrod's contract last year. That tells you all you need to know. Tyrod is not the answer. If the Bills keep him it will be because of marketing or to sell false hope to people.

I can guarantee you that if the Bills acquired Dak Prescott and he threw for 300 yards and 3 TD's in a playoff game fans would be building his statue downtown.

You are assuming that we all see a playoff team here. We don't all agree with you. I see a team that won 7 games last year and is headed down.

They are not comparable. Sorry, Mahome ='s Manziel is easily one of the most ridiculous things I have heard and if that's what Polian is peddling these days he needs some rest. Manziel is not even the same size as Mahome. Manziel was 6 feet tall, shorter than Tyrod and had small stick legs. Mahomes is 6'3'' 230 lbs. As for arm, not even close. Manziel had a pop gun, Mahomes has a rocket compared to him.

Not to mention taking away Aaron Williams and Searcy while Corey Graham is also much older and just about done now. Gilmore was dirt cheap years ago, now he wants 15 million. The Bills haven't replaced the talent from 2014.

Well, in Buffalo Jim Kelly was already here. His claim to fame with QB's was using the #1 overall pick on Peyton Manning. So he has no record of finding QB gems later than the first overall pick. He also thinks Chad Kelly is the most talented QB in this draft who is a lot close to Manziel for the wrong reasons than Mahomes. It's terrible to compare any QB prospect to Manziel unless that prospect has personal problems.

This is exactly the problem. The Bills strength when they had a top 5 defense was their defensive line. Now that is no longer a strength, linebackers look weak, secondary is a mess. But we are supposed to be top 5 because Rex is gone? Yes, Rex created problems with his 3-4 scheme. But you are not acknowledging that 3-4 years is a long time in the NFL. Mario has not been replaced. Shaq is not Mario. You can hope he is good but he has shown nothing yet. Kyle is older. Where is your time machine? You are going to tag Gilmore? And you're going to pay Tyrod?! I think you need to realize this football team doesn't exist in a vacuum. There is a salary cap and you have cycles. The Bills are headed down due to upcoming free agent losses and young players leaving. Your Tyrod is no longer cheap. You assume a steady state where next year the 2014 Bills defense meets the 2016 Bills offense. That is a fantasy.
