  1. I wasn't saying you were a casual fan, my point is that most people think of Cleveland as a train wreck but don't realize how much better they will be very soon. They had a very good draft last year and this year they get 2 drafts with all their picks in a LOADED draft. They will make up talent quickly. They also have the most cap space they can use now or next year to sign players. Bills have Cleveland in their rear view mirror for today but if we pay Tyrod 30-40 million and have another bad draft they can pass us as soon as next year.
  2. I can't do this off memory but I do remember Cleveland having a very good offensive line a few years ago. And I will say this, right now our roster looks a lot better to the casual fan but after we lose more in free agency and have the draft Buffalo and Cleveland will be much closer. If Bills try to "go for it" by paying mediocre players $$$$ Cleveland passes us as soon as next year.
  3. They get it. They were going to be bad anyway so they are cutting the dead weight and pruning the team so that this year won't be pointless but a stepping stone to compete. If the Jets play this correctly they will "luck" themselves into a top 3 pick in a strong 2018 QB draft.
  4. You are missing the big picture. The 2015 Bills offense was the peak. We saw it when for a brief moment when Watkins, Woods, Clay, and Harvin were all on the field. The Bills now have only an injured Watkins. And if they pay Tyrod they cannot replace their WR's in free agency. Woods, Hogan, also gone. If the question is who is the best we can put on the field to start the season you are asking the wrong question.
  5. I think it's rather obvious. Bills have to do what they have never done in 20 years. Draft and develop their own QB.
  6. Absolutely. I agree with letting Gilmore go but it makes the Bills defense much weaker. Teams are always looking for a Gilmore. Fans forget what it's like not having a #1 corner.
  7. All NFL teams have talent. But the Bills talent level is closer to Cleveland than New England. You can see it watching the games. We are closer to the bottom of the NFL than the top. And our team's defense peaked in 2014 and offense peaked in 2015. The Bills have NO WR's right now other than a gimpy Watkins who just had another foot surgery.
  8. What a terrible poll. Should the Bills trade Tyrod Taylor? Yes but only if we get a 1st or 2nd round pick No. He's our best option at QB for this season How about trade him and/or cut him.
  9. Where did I say expansion team? If you are going to put words in my mouth you need to explain what you mean. My main point is that yes, Rex ruined the defense but what many fans missed is that this team got older and less talented too. Defense peaked in 2014. Players like Mario Williams, Aaron Williams, Nigel Bradham, Searcy, and now Gilmore are gone. Players like Kyle and Graham much older and less effective. Neither Marcel or Hughes played well last year. Offense peaked in 2015. TT was making less than 3 million. We had a healthy Percy Harvin, Roberts Woods. Sammy Watkins has his best year and has been very injured since then. Goodwin, Hogan also now gone as well as Woods. They also had a promising Seantrel Henderson who has never been the same since that year as well. TT, in order to keep him, gets a massive raise and that will force even more losses in free agency and lack of ability to sign players to make up for who is leaving. The 9, 8, 7 analysis? As Bill Parcells has said in the NFL, you are what your record says. Anything else is fanspeak trying to pretend greatness is around the corner.
  10. Yes, that all makes sense. What the move on from TT people are saying is that TT was a bargain in 2015. He is no longer that in 2017 if we pick up the option. And there is a HUGE jump in salary for Tyrod from when he first came here to 2017. In 2015 he signed a contract that was a MAX OF 7 million for 2 years or 3.5 million a year. Picking up the option for 2 years means more than 30 million. That's less weapons on offense and less weapons on defense. The keep Tyrod people (not you Kirby) often justify the money, then set it aside and forget that they now have LESS MONEY for the rest of the team.
  11. You are acting as if we made the playoffs last year. 2014 Bills 9 wins 2015 Bills 8 wins 2016 Bills 7 wins My guess based on current free agency losses is that this next number will be 6. I don't need to blow up anything, Bills team is not that good. And you are just listing players. Every NFL team has players. Only 3-4 teams have much worse rosters than ours. We are what we are, drafting top ten and our talent will BE WORSE THIS YEAR.
  12. No. We see that the team has peaked a few years ago and that if we want to make the playoffs we need to rebuild. Let me ask you. Do you believe an NFL team should never rebuild? And if not what would make you want to do so?
  13. He isn't easy to project because of the gimmicky offense. But there is more to him than that and he does more pro style stuff than people realize. Opportunity is here. Rodgers dropped because NFL GM's didn't want to draft another Tedford system bust. They also said Rodgers held the ball too high. Packers fixed that flaw in 5 seconds.
  14. 3 years is a long time in the NFL. When you say 2015 I think you really mean the 2014 defense? And I do agree that Rex's dumb 3-4 messed that up and prevented the playoffs. I just see a lot of age and attrition to the players that were a top 5 defense in 2014.
  15. What really jumps off the screen for me is his swagger. That's the real "it" quality. He looks like he wants to score on every drive.
  16. I don't see any Mahomes fans discussing his numbers. That's not why we want him. He has great pocket presence, feel. Big arm, fast release, and accuracy. That's why I want him.
  17. They are in a much better spot than people realize. This draft is loaded and they are about to feast.
  18. We just sat through a 7 win season and are losing players and have a tougher schedule. Tyrod will lead us to a 6 win season next year barring a miracle. The 2015 team is gone.
  19. Pretty cool video posted on NFL.com. Eagles release Carson Wentz interview from last year's combine: http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/videos/videos/Exclusive-Wentzs-Combine-Interview/71b85e78-95dc-4f2a-b54c-b06a96bc5530
  20. Denver offensive line was terrible last year.
  21. I'm trying to release some anger gradually so I don't destroy my computer!
  22. Tyrod to be released. Bills close their message board in advance.
  23. I like Trubisky and Mahomes the best of the big 4. If the Bills sign TT and pass on these guys that could be the final straw for Whaley. Maybe Pegula will hire a real GM.
