I get why you want to middle it. It's where most fans are. Let's keep Tyrod and draft a QB. Sounds fair. I just don't think this fits how this organization works. Whaley has been here for a long time. The only time the Bills drafted a QB in the first two rounds was when Fitzmagic was cut. Whaley has been running the draft or setting up the board for the last 6 drafts. One time we drafted a QB high.

Ok, let us say you are correct and they are lying. Then they pay a QB 30 million that THEY DON"T BELIEVE IN?! That scares me even worse that they can't evaluate a QB. That means they have no idea how to run a football team and are like a small kid playing Madden in GM mode.

I am not a cap guru but it's safe to assume that 1.Tyrod won't take a paycut 2.In order to reduce cap number this year we kick more money down the road, i.e. dead money later.

The Bills management themselves have said they will only pick up the QB contract for Tyrod if they see him as the answer. Once you have the answer you don't draft another QB in the first round. The only scenario where we draft a QB high in the next two years is Bills "go for it" with Tyrod this year, win 6 games (my current estimate), and then realize they made a mistake and draft high in 2018. But of course they would then be drafting 7th or later and not have the ammo to get the top QB prospects as they would have won 1 or two many games. Then they take the 3rd or 4th best prospect in a loaded draft and go the JP Losman route next year.

If you have been following the Bills you know for sure that if they spend 30 million on a QB they will not be drafting a QB in the first round for sure, 2nd round as well. Doug Whaley's tenure has been one of acting as if the Bills are a contender every year and drafting based on need in the top rounds. Last year was replacing Mario round 1 and stopping the run in round 2, pass rush in round 3. With the Bills up to the cap and a huge group of free agents up for pay increases Bills will not be able to plug holes in free agency. It's all on the few picks in the draft for Whaley to find safeties, wide receivers, corners, etc. I'll be glad to bet any Tyrod/draft a QB round 1 fan that this scenario is impossible. It's just not how these guys operate.

If the Bills pay Tyrod 30 million that means Bills management believe he is the guy. The Bills mgmt said so. So please stop trying to have it both ways and middling it. Sign up for Tyrod and you don't get to draft a QB in the first two rounds.

Let us not forget that this town also gave a washed up Terrell Owens the key to the city before he even played a down here. We also welcomed Rex, a coach who was fired for not making the playoffs year after year, as a conquering hero.

If the Bills pay a bridge QB 30 million then get on board for a few more Dick Jauron years. 6-7 wins against the worst teams while we get smoked against the real teams. This town loves mediocrity. Imagine if Tyrod had long flowing hair and a Polish last name.

We won 7 games this year. With a harder schedule, free agents leaving, new schemes and systems I see 6 wins unless something drastically changes. And that is with paying a bridge QB 30 million. I get that fans want to be excited but please help me understand where you are coming from. There has been a lot of talent that has left and is leaving. Bills have not drafted well enough to replace it all yet.

The Bills offense was a middle of the road offense that was very efficient in the red zone. That same offense, even if Tyrod is retained, will now have a new run blocking scheme, coaches, and offense, playcalls, and terminology. Their best player Watkins is usually injured and McCoy also gets dinged up and is approaching 30. But yes, let's build around this unit as our new cornerstone for future success, a unit that came up small in every game against playoff teams other than Miami.

Well you keep him if you think you're a playoff team. If Doug Whaley believes this is a playoff team he needs to walk the plank.

Let's not forget: 2006 Dick Jauron and JP Losman, 7-9 2007 Dick Jauron and Trent Edwards, 7-9 2008 Dick Jauron and Trent Edwards, 7-9 This might be the best 7-9 finish of the last 15 years. That's how human brains are wired. It hurts to "lose" a QB that just took us to 7 wins. It's punting the ball to try to pin the opponent deep mentality.

Give it some time! But Adams is special, I normally don't think you take a DB high but elite talent changes the rules. Also, he's a better scheme fit for us over Hooker.

The Bills were very efficient in the red zone because they had a great run blocking line, Shady, and a threat to run with Tyrod. But the Bills offense struggled getting first downs and points in key situations. It's possible to score less points and win more games if the QB makes plays in the 4th quarter. Do fans really think Dennison is running the Greg Roman offense? Was the offense so magical last year that we need to preserve it in amber?!

But when you give Tyrod a pay raise you will have less money for other positions. And we don't get to have 2016 come back. Roberts Woods is a Free Agent. Are you paying him 8 million?
