  1. Guys who the consensus has to low for me going forward: R.Wilson-seems to be out of the top 5 by most, I think he is top 5 for sure Romo- I get the injury thing, but wouldn't it just be like him to have an MVP season with that offense Bortles- he should be in a group with Taylor, Mariota, Winston, Carr and perhaps Bilgewater Guys too high for me: Palmer-He's put up great numbers as Ariens guy in a very friendly system, not so long ago he couldn't play Cutler- the guy is the epitome of a guy who will always disappoint in spite of talent Cousins- I'm not getting all the love for him, why is he ranked above the young guys group? really you'd rather have him this year?
  2. I think this is very much the truth. That is why having Tyrod somewhere between 10-20 is a fair projection. If some of the folks on here who criticize, would take the time to go through the exercise, they would see how difficult ranking the middle tier is!
  3. I tried to put a little bit of projection in my rankings as well as body of work.
  4. http://thecomeback.com/blog/nfl/ranking-all-32-projected-nfl-starting-quarterbacks-for-2016.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=ranking-all-32-projected-nfl-starting-quarterbacks-for-2016 Not bad list. Brady, Rogers should move up to 1-2. Tyrod is fair at 14, I have him at 11. I think Cousins is too high etc. Enjoy. I welcome your thoughts. It is the off season, and we need to discuss these matter seriously. My personal list. 1 Brady 2 Rogers 3 Newton 4 Wilson 5 Roethlisberger 6 Romo 7 Luck 8 E.Manning 9 Brees 10 Rivers 11 Taylor 12 Palmer 13 Dalton 14 Stafford 15 Bortles 16 Ryan 17 Flacco 18 A.Smith 19 Cousins 20 Carr 21 Winston 22 Mariota 23 Bridgewater 24 Tannehill 25 Osweiler 26 Kapernick 27 Cutler 28 Bradford 29 Griffin 30 G.Smith 31 Sanchez 32 Goff
  5. Hard to argue with that offense. If they get any kind of defense they should be able to outscore most teams.
  6. Boy, Joe Ferguson should sounds like a "franchise" QB in this video. And, he was IMHO.
  7. That's fair. It will take some luck, as it does for every team, to get over the hump. If we have injuries like we had last year all bets are off. On the other hand, if Taylor improves, the defense improves and the second year familiarity kicks in, we are capable of winning the division.
  8. It is absurd to not count the QB rushing yards. He is part of the team. This argument reminds me of the hockey cop out " we would have won if it wasn't for your goalie". The goalie is part of your team, just like QB is part of your rushing attack.
  9. Joe Ferguson was a pretty darn good QB! Not sure how you define "Franchise", but the guy had passing stats that were above avg for the time. He led the league in TDs passes in'75 and took the team to the playoffs 3-4 times. And, he started 180 games in the league. Better than some on here are giving him credit for.
  10. I'm very comfortable going over 8. TT second year, improved defense, second year with coaching staff, Brady suspension.....lots of reason to think a team that has won 9 and 8 the last 2 years goes over 8.
  11. I saw that article, saw who wrote it, and moved on quickly. He's biased beyond belief, and should not have a job.
  12. Nice article! It cleared up some things about the Ryan D for me.
  13. Can we get rid of Dray, and get back a roster spot?
  14. I love this! Clearly he is the best OL from the draft. It helps for people to remember these types of analysis when you say the Bills have drafted poorly in recent years. Buddy and Doug have built a nice foundation through the draft. Some people like to cherry pick the misses, well they ALL miss, it is inexact to say the least. I want Doug Whaley as my GM.
  15. I'd be shocked if he made the team.
  16. I just spent some time seeing who was available after we made the pick. And, combined with knowledge of their needs and what Whaley said......I have to agree with you soldier. Not trying to cop out Bandit...I tried and like this draft. It makes sense.
  17. Really cool to hear from a former NFL executive of the year!
  18. Consensus Draft Grades I took all the grades I could find- thanks to 26Blitz. Outliers have alot less weight. The more info I got the less a team could move. A-......Jax, Was B+.....Bal,Buf,Cin,Chi,Den,Min B.......Mia,KC,SD,Ind,Sea,GB,NO,Hou,TB B-.....Ten,Cle,Dal,Oak,Az,NYG,SF,Det,LA C+....NE,Car,NYJ,Pit,Phi C......Atl
  19. http://thecomeback.com/blog/nfl/2016-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams.html/2 Don't think was posted.
  20. I think if the OP means understanding the D, providing leadership, toughness and grit then he has a chance. He seems to be the kind of guy who can be the hub of a great defense like at Alabama. If he is talking performance there is no way to say that now. The odds are against him performing like Ray...especially on the field!
