  1. +1 Coaching always gets back to using the personnel to maximize potential.
  2. EJ was actually at the bar, but he is such a good kid that he refrained from engaging in the beatdown.
  3. Agree with this because my dad who was a fan as far back as the 60s loved to talk about him. He was quick to point out he was an All Pro during the championship 60 s years. I disagree with Joe Ferguson being overrated, and I think the article is littered with several inaccuracies, not the best written. BTW, Ferguson played that game against the Chargers with such a badly injured ankle he could barely stand up.
  4. Not directed at anyone in particular, but yes I am serious. The point wasn't that he isn't a good player. Put in proper context that money spent on DLmen doesn't work in the NFL salary cap structure. Did we win?make the playoffs?the super bowl? win a playoff game? The money SHOULD have been spent on other resources. He doesn't produce and impact the game at the level I feel someone taking up that amount of cap should.
  5. IMO the Mario contract was a BAD contract to start with. It's not like he played poorly for us, but paying the kind of money we paid to bring him here was absurd. Now is an opportunity to move on from a bad deal.
  6. Why doesn't Belichick get any blame for the Aaron Hernandez murders?
  7. Could it be that the Bills fans we hear about as being some of the best in the league, loyal and deserving of much credit for their support, BE A MYTH? Could it be that Bills fans are overrated by some, including themselves? It also could be that is an overgeneralization, sometimes representative of this board. But, how overstated is it really? IMHO, from being on this board the last few years. There are those who wine constantly about not having made the playoffs in 16 years as if entitled. There are those who are only negative, especially related to the lack of a "franchise QB". There are those who are those who think everything done by the front office is incompetent and part of a conspiracy. There are those who think they are "experts" and talk down to everyone. There are those who are just look to be contrarian and to argue with strangers. Oh and I almost forgot the "moralizers", those people put people into 2 camps. Good people like themselves. And, bad people like Shady McCoy, who don't even deserve their day in court.
  8. ? The edge rushers Ware and Miller are superior, and the Denver LBs are better, It is also debatable our corners are as good. JMO
  9. Thank you! It's not like some on this board have never been in this situation. Never realized that we had so many moralizers on this board!
  10. I don't think Dean Blandino is the guy for the job if he thinks the NFL has no problem. It all starts with that.......wouldn't ya think.
  11. Perfectly stated! If someone like Wenz were to slip into the second round we would be enticed to pull the triigger. Otherwise, we draft someone like Doughty or Prescott down deeper in the draft. Don't sleep on Kevin Hogan or Cardale Jones either.
  12. I don't think anyone has mentioned the 2008 Cardinals 9-7 427 PF 426 PA in regular season or the 1979 Rams also 9-7. My money is still on the 94 Chargers though!
  13. Yeah that's a pretty good one too. At least Collins had a few good years though, and the Giants were better in those years than the Chargers were in mid 90s.
  14. The Stan Humphries led Chargers were the worst bar none. They only made it one time and got completely destroyed.
  15. Yes! Pass rushers from both sides and LBs who can cover.
  16. Yes, having Ware play the way he did was part of the package for success.
  17. Excellent points! I think you are correct it was our gameplan taken to another level. We can also learn from what Wade did. The thought actually crossed my mind as well. At 38, Brady and the Pats future doesn't look as good as the past.
  18. What a horrible game and horrible performance by Arizona! Lot of points to give up against a defense like Denver. The Carolina offense is defensible.
  19. We could use a clone of him on the Bills. Jeez it was nice when we had a pass rush like Denver.
