  1. It is an old school Marty Schottenheimer Play Action Pass Offense. When you can run it looks wonderful, everything is open and works. Pound Pound Pound big play! When people slow the run down or contain it like NE did, his offenses always struggle to sustain drives. This is in contrast to current offenses which either pass to setup the run or just plain pass.
  2. The guy was unbelievable at Clemson with screen passes. When we drafted him I thought that was what he would get alot of, and The downfield stuff he would grow into. Instead never uses him on screens, and throw him long low percentage fades a couple times a game. Jeez
  3. Enjoy the rest of the season. Go Bills!
  4. History lesson. Lou Saban 2 was a lot of fun 72-75. Best offense in league in 75, led in both points and yards. Started 4-0 and beat the defending SB and to be champs-The Steelers in Pitt. Injuries killed the secondary. The Chuck Knox years 79-82. Fun team, won a lot of games. Fergie in his prime, Joe Cribbs, Jerry Butler and the number 1 ranked defense in 1980. Getting tired of the 15 year excuse with some on here. Get a grip, building a team is a process, learn to enjoy the ride, stop wallowing in your sorrows of the past-get over it. Prior to that, we had one of the great runs a franchise has ever had from about 87-2000. It will change for the better again. Another pragmatic man. It's a miracle!
  5. I don't hate to admit it, but this thread sucks
  6. YES! someone with a brain
  7. Been a Bills fan since 1972. There have been more down years then up for sure. But, it changes, and the good years are great. A piece of advice, don't relegate yourselves to being defined by 15 years of no playoffs.
  8. Chiefs are PLUS 12 in last four games. Minus 2 before that. Smith benefitted by short field alot lately. Play clean like we have been recently and make them travel the lenght of the field in small pieces. We will win.
  9. Chefs will come back to earth. They have reached their peak, regression coming soon. Alex Smith and weak skill guys!
  10. I agree that would great
  11. Me too. He has a lot of potential. And, we have a great chance to make the playoffs if we can win in KC. We need him bad! Have we actually picked Coples up?
  12. He looked like a soccer player diving around all night. kitty. Anybody see him whining to the refs that Brown trashed talked him after putting him down.
  13. The problem lies with Roman mostly. I watched his teams struggle in SF with his tendencies. When his team runs the ball well, which is frequently-not always, the offense looks great. When he needs to throw the ball consistently ,he can't. He is a RB guy, not a WR guy. Belichick is a bad matchup for this guy. He'll kill a guy who has the kind of tendencies Roman has. His games vs Seattle in recent years were extremely ugly, he can't get plays to get his Wr involved. The Qb ends up as the fall guy.
  14. If the coaching is so great why can't they get the ball to Sammy Watkins?
  15. Yes my thoughts as well. We sold out tonight and the game sunday is more important.
  16. He was just terrible. It will of course all fall on Taylor as the QB. But, Roman did little to help him. In a word-Brutal
  17. He did make a great throw to Hogan after he was hurt
  18. Our season hinges on that. We are totally screwed if he can't go.
  19. All I could think of was we have KC in a huge game and it could be without our QB.
  20. There is no argument, they have to be able to BOTH run and pass effectively. The formation, say 11 personnel, 1 back 1 TE, and the defensive response, nickel, will play a big role in that regard. From that formation we can split Shady out and go 5 wides or motion him into the backfield and run against the nickel. Last game we went big 21 and 22 too much and Pats crowded the box and LOS
  21. LOL.Excellent! However, the Bills will win this game 24-23 on a last second field goal by Carpenter. Headline: BILLS SHOCK PATS AND REFS!
  22. Typical Shaugnessey. Is he a reporter or cheerleader. Seriously though, why are all these old sports reporters only capable of writing with a negative tone. Sal M.
  23. Would it really shock anyone if Chip went back to college at the end of this season? I mean he has full control over the football ops in Philly now.
