Abso Freakin lutely!!!! I asked last year if people trusted McBean after the Sammy trade and people were hemming and hawing. How many were calling for one or the others head last year at some point. Ridiculous amounts of shade thrown at the both of ‘em. “ How ya like me now?!!!” They know we can do without him. My hunch is he doesn’t stay healthy from here on out for long stretches. How did Sammy do last year? How did Darby do last year?

If mediocrity equals success, yes. If not, no. Im a lose the battle win the war type guy and TT only won about half his battles, except in the playoffs where he won and will win zero.

I guess I’m saying healthy enough to pass a physical but they still don’t trust him to stay on the field. You never know who will give up what ina trade. NE has been getting over on teams for years.

Not arguing but don’t understand your question. If the Bills training staff thinks he can’t be depended upon in the future they should trade him. If they legitimately feel he’s got at least two solid years left then they should keep him.

No one is guaranteed anything but educated guesses can be made ahead of time about a teams chances and our chances of getting to the SB , much less winning it last year , were slim and none. If you say otherwise you are BSing to win an argument. Breaking “ the drought” doesn’t do us a dumb bit of good today other than the warm fuzzy we all had for a week before we LOST in the playoffs. Again, I’d rather have the higher pick today. And please don’t compare hockey to football.

Coming in sixth in the AFC isn’t satisfying to me. I don’t call that winning. Riding Peterman to a worse finish, knowing for sure he sucks and having a top ten pick ( and all the higher picks in the following rounds) along with KC’s pick would make me a happier person today. It’s called “ Short term sacrifice for long term gain” or foresight .

That it is. TT trade just raises so many possibilities to dream of with the feeling that we are decidedly closer to one of them coming true. Im always excited about the draft but this year feels truly different, as if we are actually on the cusp of a real turn around. Getting a premier QB, whether on a rookie contract or a team friendly contract and actually building a team around him because we can afford to and have a Scouting department ( seemingly) capable of it..... ????

Not firsts, agreed. Depends on the deal but Foles has shown the ability to be more than a bridge. I think the percentage chance of that being true is decently above 50 to make it a good gamble.

Concur but if you get Foles fairly cheap and still are able to move up for a rookie.... double bonus. If Foles exceeds expectations, we win, if not he’s still better than our ex “ Starter” and would serve as a bridge.
