This team has been infamous for dropping games like this. That's what makes it so dissappointing just when you think the team may have turned the corner they pull the same ol' same ol'. That's why you can't get too high on anything they do. They've been in this situation many times before early in the season to only to lose disappointing game after disappointing game. Until they make the playoffs you can't really invest your emotions into a positive season or you'll be crushed. That's the bar.

Agreed. On that play I can't imagine the ball is intended to be thrown to lead the WR to the sideline. The ball has to be intended to lead the WR to the endzone, which is where Taylor threw it.

After seeing the highlight you could tell when he came out of his cut he was aiming towards the 5 instead of the cone. Had he straightened out he probably would have had it. But when he came out of his cut he seemed to stumble a bit which I think threw his body off and geared him towards the sideline. If he had a clean cut he may have stayed straight. But the play doesn't mitigate the overall lack of offense showed by Dennison. Too many three and outs early and they abandoned the running game way to early. In a game when your always a TD away from taking the lead and between Shady and Tolbert you only rush the ball 10 times for 10 yards in the entire second half? Not going to win many games doing that.

Like I said. There has to be something up with this situation. Drug suspension or conduct issue or something. Karlos Williams part II That sounds like a cop out. Like Shady plays special teams? If a guy is a solid talent ST won't be a deal breaker in making a team. There has to be something more to it and McD is using it to keep the reason in house.

As crazy as it sounds I believe the teams success will come down to the WR and secondary. I believe the defense will be better. Same players playing an easier scheme. Secondary may take its lumps but if it can hold strong were good. Offensively we still have Shady, TT and Charles Clay. O line seems to be upgraded. It's all about the WR. If we can move the chains and use K Clay to stretch the field ALA Goodwin it might not be so bad.

I think what's most important in all of this is the communication between Beane and the fan base. We have put up with a lot of crap for 17 years. I get the whole planning for the future thing but this isn't hockey. I don't want to watch 16 weeks of crappy football, and I can't imagine the fans who are paying hundreds if not thousands a week (or season ticket holders) who see this as a white flag moment. Beane needs to come out and explain what his thought process is when making moves like this that comes across as illogical. They need to season it in a digestible form for us fans to consume. Otherwise the relationship between management and fan base will erode quickly. There is no winner on either side if that happens.

The only sane reason behind this would be a failed drug test and suspension coming down the pike. Or a major legal situation. Or they have successfully claimed someone (or two) on waivers that are an upgrade. Otherwise this is just ridiculous.

Bolden retirement had everything to do with the Sammy and Darby trades. He was sold on a team that was still focused on winning this year. Bolden made it clear when signed he was still wanting a championship, and I'm sure that was stressed in negotiations. He was sold he could get that in Buffalo. Then a couple of weeks later Buffalo trades their best receiver and corner. Moves that made the team weaker. Bolden could have gone to the media and called the team out. Whined and complained. Said he was lied to. But he's a classy pro. He took the high road and said he wanted to focus on social issues instead of play. The Bills should do the right thing and let him go. It's not his fault Buffalo made those trades. Buffalo misled him, and I would bet a ton that had the trades come before he signied he would have passed. Bolden is a hall of famer and he handled the whole situation with class and grace. The Bills owe him the same if winning a championship still burns bright inside if him. Let him go so he can chase after what we all want.
