Josh's foot work in the first qtr - Woof
BarleyNY replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only see that on one of the four plays and Josh’s footwork is bad on all of them. Also even on that play he got the ball off but threw a pick. Had his feet been where they should’ve been I have to think he would’ve thrown a better ball. I think the pressure of such a big game combined with playing the Pats (and everything Belichick three at him) got to Josh. A year and a half ago he was playing for Wyoming. Let’s remember that. If he learns and grows from this we will look back on it as growing pains. Let’s hope that’s what happens. -
Will offense operate better with Barkley next week?

I hope so. -
Bill Belichick Defends Jones Hit on Josh Allen!
BarleyNY replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I appreciate Josh’s heart and, yes, it was 3rd and 8 with us down by 6, but he’s got to slide. We can complain all we want and endlessly debate intent here (and it probably was intentional), but who would be complaining if Poyer had laid out Brady in the same fashion? What Josh can control is whether he puts himself in position to get hurt or not. Slide, Josh, slide. -
Terry Bradshaw halftime report Fox
BarleyNY replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And Bradshaw would be the first to tell you he was never all that smart to begin with. At least he’s not a d**k about stuff. I hate the Stiller’s, but don’t have any ill will toward him. -
Chase Daniels might be an upgrade.

The Bills Defense Just Gave a Master Class
BarleyNY replied to Last Guy on the Bench's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defense was stellar. Offense (Allen mostly) and specials (punt block for TD) let the team down. That said, a true #1 WR would be huge for this team. -
Bills fan blows face off with fireworks...
BarleyNY replied to Boca BIlls's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah. Love how the “friend” chooses to throw in the I told you so before yelling “run”. Aaaaannnnnd, too late. Classy move. -
I’d bet that this has to do with the numerous injuries to QBs early this season. Goodell wants to keep scoring up and protect the ones that are left as well as the backups. Probably helps explain why the backups are doing well too.

Hopefully the Bills remember that and don’t take this game lightly. Seems like it’d be easy to be looking ahead to the Pats*. Besides even bad teams can get pissed off about being 0-2. Glad this one is at home.

Cowboys Expected to Waive Taco Charlton
BarleyNY replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why? You got something against Edge players who lack explosion? -
Would you trade a 2nd or a 3rd for A.J. Green?
BarleyNY replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How’s a conditional pick - a 4th that would become a 3rd with a games played stipulation sound? I’d do that when he can pass a physical. -
Bills LB Tyrel Dodson suspended 6 games
BarleyNY replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Correct. A suspended player does not count against the 53. -
Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS
BarleyNY replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. If teams allow it. The Raiders should have just suspended him indefinitely- or traded him to the Dolphins. -

So many people ripping on AB. He played everyone. Wonder how quick he head gets straight now. It’ll be a miracle. As I noted, it’s the LeGarrette Blount play with the intermediate trade to the Raiders thrown in as a twist. I could not agree more -

New England. Cleveland doesn’t need any more WRs. What if this was all a ruse to get himself to NE? Seems like a variant of the playbook LeGarrette Blount used to get from Pittsburgh to NE. AB just added the Raiders bit. Same problem child act to get out of where he was. -
Won’t be crushed at all. Just need to go get our guy. Lots of other pieces in place for the team. No need to panic. But, reasonably, that’s the fear - that Allen is a bigger, more athletic version of Trubisky. But we don’t know what he is yet. Let’s give Allen the chance to show us who he can be and then make our judgements.

OAK planning to suspend AB (edit: apologized, playing)
BarleyNY replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally expect the Raiders to be a train wreck. I was just explaining how it could’ve been worse. -
OAK planning to suspend AB (edit: apologized, playing)
BarleyNY replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It could have been a lot worse. Mayock only gave AB a $1M signing bonus. Imagine if he’d handed him a $10M or $20M check. -
Required spend is a four year rolling average of CASH outlays that are equal to at least 89% of the annual cap limit. It’s pretty easy to stay over that limit due to the large signing bonuses some players get. edit: I said that it’s a rolling average because I’m assuming it will be rolling when the new CBA is in place. Right now it’s just the four year block up to 2020. (Thanks Colorado)

They could also go after him for that if he continues to refuse to play. Id think they would have to take him off suspension before not playing would be on him though. -

No way do they release him outright. The Raiders can recoup the cap space for his guaranteed salary one game at a time by keeping him suspended. (Also they don’t have to pay it to him.) That'd be $914k per game for anyone counting. Two years worth of salary is guaranteed at that. -
You couldn't possibly have meant "offer the man a fair contract".
