  1. CJ Spiller, the guy who Chan freaking Gailey was able to make one of the most electric players in the league? If Hackett can't cut it he should be fired. Trading away great players isn't the answer. Hiring an OC with a playbook thicker than Tecmo Bowl would be a great boost to this team.
  2. Slingbox + family in Rochester = My "Sunday Ticket." Hopefully they don't get blacked out too often.
  3. I understand he is eligible but at no point has he been on the practice squad. When he said "again" that implies he's been there before. Whaley and Marrone both like Tuel and my argument for Tuel as the backup is strictly reps. If they like the kid, they need to develop him. How many times now have we seen back up QBs be worth more than we ever thought on the open market after having a few decent games? It's a good plan to develop Tuel no matter what the future holds. It could mean he starts for us if EJ busts, plays great if EJ gets hurt, or gets traded for a draft pick if another team likes what they see.
  4. That would be ideal, yes. He's proven to be kind of delicate though so we'll see.
  5. It can't be in major markets. That's the sticking point all of these minor football leagues run in to. It has to be approached just as the AHL and triple-A baseball have done things. You need smaller, regional markets to support the team. I think the NFL could become more competitive if such a league existed. Not only could you be grooming players but coaches as well and that's important considering the huge amounts of money some the better known college coaches are starting to command. Partnerships with soccer clubs for use of their stadiums would be a great way to move forward with this product and not make huge investments in facilities as well.
  6. Considering people on the internet are saying this about you, you are probably of high intelligence and right 100% of the time. I voted for you to stay, just so I can find out.
  7. I won't get into the rankings but I will say that as an overall player, he is better than Byrd. Byrd is great in coverage but he can't play the whole field and that makes a big difference in an NFL that, according to pundits, is moving back to the running game.
  8. And Tuel was on the practice squad never... Tuel has a legitimate shot at #2 so I am going to say Thad is #3.
  9. Sammy isn't insulting EJ, he's saying that they need to build a trust. He needs to convince EJ that he can throw the ball to him whenever, where ever. If you would like an example of this, just watch Fitz and SJ. Except this current duo has the potential for 1500 yards and 10 touchdowns a year.
  10. Whiffner's mad because he knows he lost that Super Bowl and every Bills fan saw it.
  11. Not according to his play last year and the glowing reports of him coming out training camp. But you guys have your vendetta/agenda so carry on.
  12. I see you have a hard time understanding simple concepts. Bills sign QB. Bills stand behind QB as a project with promise. QB still on team, with a great shot at winning the backup position in his 2nd year. Starter known for injuries ahead of him.
  13. Well, as much as people within the Bills fan base scoff at the prospect of Jeff Tuel starting, the front office signed him for a reason. He and EJ were both rookies last year, they were bound to play within themselves, over think in situations that they would typically rely on instincts. There is a lot of pressure to win football games in the NFL. They aren't playing football for fun anymore. This is their career, not just their passion. I think the gravity of that situation, the pressure to not only be successful for yourself or your team, but to be successful for your family and your future is a lot to wrap your head around when you first come into the league. I personally feel EJ will improve this year, but IF he doesn't I would expect the Bills to turn to their other investment of the 2013 draft.
  14. Social anxiety doesn't permit me to go to many games. I've been to 4 in 25 years. While I appreciate both sides of this, and did have relatively good experiences each time, I am going to point out that some people (like myself) are just wired to find a close knit group of friends in the living room watching the game to be more enjoyable. Just thinking about 80k people in the same place and all the things that *could* happen is nerve racking for me. It sounds ridiculous I know, it sounds ridiculous to me. But it is what it is.
  15. Young guy who was viewed as the potential number 1 overall pick at one point and a veteran who has won games? I would have Houston, the Raiders and the Jets all worse off than the Vikings.
  16. Go to NYC and order a large soda... oh wait...
  17. If I'm Dan Snyder, I say you're right. The name is offensive. And move the team to Los Angeles. And call them the Banditos.
  18. Jim Kelly $5 Cookie $1 Reed, Moulds and Evans $10 Scott Chandler $1 Bruce and Mario $9 Dareus and Pat $3 London, TKO and Posey $2 Winfield and Clements $6 Jones and Byrd $7 $44
  19. I know this is a Bills board and all... but how do people not see this? One first round pick to move up to 4 and grab what some had claimed was the best talent in this class? And considering the Bills' success rate in the first round, there is no way of knowing the Bills hit on the 2015 first rounder. For all we know, Dareus could be packaged with a pick come next year to move back into the first. This certainly was a great move in terms of what we paid to move up and the player we got. The concern for me is whether or not our highly suspect offensive coordinator can get the offense rolling this year.
  20. If he makes the team, there will be a great number of people looking for him to start week 1. So yes. Yes he will.
  21. Bills get young QB a once every 5-10 year prospect to throw the ball to, bitching and complaining ensues. Not surprising. The Bills gave up alot less to get as good of a receiver. A true #1 guy the Bills have lacked since Moulds.
  22. Watkins will be all over the field. Trying to say this guy will be here and that guy will be there, it's pointless. Besides, if Watkins ends up primarily in one role, we will be wasting his talent, big time.
  23. Except for the fact that Watkins was huge in the screen game for Clemson... Spiller isn't going anywhere, it's Fred's days who are numbered. Spiller and Watkins are a threat on the perimeter, a "power" running game isn't going to happen and shouldn't. That's the old NFL. This team is built to attack all angles.
  24. Three wide, Watkins, Woods and Stevie in the slot. Mike Williams is certainly talented but he is no sure fire thing. Goodwin is great in a 4 wide set, alot like Roscoe. TJ is gone and should have been last year. And Easley is your special teams ace. This team is going to get a little pass heavy, hold on to your butts.
