I thought Charbonnet was a possible surprise Bills pick at 59.

If I were picking, I'd hope to get Bergeron, Tippman or Schmitz at 59, followed by a WR or possibly LB at 91. As for what I think they'll actually do...RB Zach Charbonnet at 59, followed by a LB at 91.

It's too early to know. I'd have to see how it plays out first.

It wasn't the number one need, but if you can get an elite playmaker and a top 10 prospect in a weak draft, you should go ahead and do it.

I'm pretty happy with that pick, especially after the WRs flew off the board. I was not going to be happy with defense. Now, it's up to Dorsey to get both on the field at the same time.

Aaron Maybin was probably the most obvious bust I've ever seen the Bills take over the last 30+ years. It's a classic example of why a team shouldn't reach for a player just based on high positional value.

It's a position with a high bust rate. Unless I had a top 10 pick or unless there was a very compelling need, I would not select one before R3 or 4 as a general rule. The Bills have neither, but that hasn't stopped them before.

That's nice and all, but watch them draft heavily on defense early yet again.

Anton Harrison or Darnell Wright. I'd probably lean towards the former. Regardless, improved pass protection for Josh Allen should be the highest priority. They can't just assume that Spencer Brown is going to make a dramatic improvement.

If that happens again following another defense-heavy draft, then there need to be some major changes in the front office during the next offseason.

He's OK-ish as a backup. My only concern is that it is becoming increasingly apparent that the Bills' front office is gearing up to go heavy on defense in the draft yet again. Ugh.

Agreed, and don't forget, Harris was doing that with a worn out Cam Newton and a rookie/2nd year Mac Jones at QB. He did not have the advantage of having Josh Allen (and Stefon Diggs) drawing defenders off to defend the pass to the same degree.

They've already reworked his contract. They wouldn't do that if they weren't planning to keep him.

That's an excellent signing if he can stay healthy.

As poor as the Bills OL has been, I'd definitely consider it. It's not just the RT spot, but Dawkins hasn't been that great, either, plus he's a FA after 2024. If there's someone on the board at 27 who can push Spencer Brown at RT this year, but also has good LT potential in the future, it might be worth it. Given the Bills tendency to dumpster dive the OL, I'm sure they won't do it.

Someone else could sign him, too. I think they overvalue special teams coverage at times, but in this case, if there's no specific plan or need for that cap space to be freed up right now, they're better off keeping a good ST player.

Given that there doesn't seem to be any big rush to open up more cap space, I think they'll likely keep him.
