  1. So black assistants only get interviewed because of the rooney rule? I can't believe all the owners are racist. So are you discounting any job rumor about him because he's black?
  2. No, read his post. He's blaming TT for not overcoming the defenses poor play.
  3. what makes anyone a hot prospect? People on the inside watch assistants and look for qualities that would translate into success at the HC level. Obviously, it's a far from perfect system, but it's seems he has something desirable.
  4. He should certainly be considered. Why shouldn't he be. Success as a coordinator usually opens the door. Taking over an offense during the season is not an easy thing to succeed at. I think it speaks well of him.
  5. you're blaming the QB for not covering up the defenses shortcomings? Come on. That's sounds a bit unfair to TT.
  6. and that's without the full offseason to prepare your own playbook, which all coordinators usually have. He's done very well.
  7. A voice of reason amongst the crowd. Thank you.
  8. I would ask him 1 question: Who will your DC be?
  9. I did mention Bill Parcells speaking highly of him. Please don't disregard that. It's significant. You usually don't hear all the details of qualities of an assistant coach, the fact that he's interviewed would probably show that he has the qualities of a successful head coach. What do you need to hear to convince you that he's held in high regard. Idiots that some may be, the guys on TV do have conversations with team management. They probably have better insight than we do.
  10. I'm not sure how big an issue this is. It almost seems to me that this is the fallback criticism. Perhaps he's overly cautious, but there is a huge upside to not having you QB turn the ball over. TT does so many things so well. I just think it would be a mistake to let him go.
  11. You'd have to ask the teams that interview him that. Just telling you what I hear. He was a Parcells assistant coach and he has spoken highly of him. Parcells is a HOF coach, he carries a lot of credibility in my opinion.
  12. Or interview him because he's held in high regard around the league.
  13. I'd be ok if the team spent all off season focusing on defense and never even looked at the offense.
  14. the flea flicker did, but I'm not a big fan of trick plays.
  15. 2 points: Will he renegotiate and do the Bills have a better option. The offense , when healthy, showed what they can do today. It would be a huge risk to let him go.
  16. He's not suddenly a hot name. He was interviewed last year. He is highly regarded throughout the league. People who are closer to the game than we fans are seem to see some pretty good things in him. I'd be ok with him getting promoted. We had 600 yards offense, my guess is, despite a few questionable calls, he has a great feel for the game.
  17. at this point, that should cost Rex his job.
  18. it was, I disagreed that it was 'another showing of a complete lack of awareness'
  19. Can't imagine anything he would do next week would be impactful. Jets already mailed it it today
  20. No it's not. I think you exaggerate. He has great awareness most of the time. This was one moment of not being aware enough. And that's not why we lost.
  21. I'm not for firing a coach in their 2nd year, but it's all on the defense and there's no reason to think it will improve dramatically next season. I'd like to promote Lynn and keep Tryod. I would be inexcusable to release Taylor without a better replacement.
  22. You were watching correctly. He really developed into a tremendous open field tackler. He had a couple All Pro caliber seasons with us. We definitely got his best years out of him.
  23. I agree with the bold part, unfortunately, many don't think that it's ok for Kaep to act the same way.
