  1. If that happened as a Bill, it would be cut his a$$ right now.
  2. If they were candidates, they would be considered top candidates. But as of now, they aren't.
  3. Out of the 7 listed. 2 have repeatedly said they're not interested in coaching again. 2 more are currently employed and not certain to be going anywhere. McDaniels, although probably a sound choice, failed miserably in Denver.
  4. At himself? He's the one that makes the final decisions. He hired rex, he fired rex. He's the ringleader here.
  5. What was patient and methodical about the hiring and firing of Rex?
  6. Whaley probably told Pegula- I built a 4th ranked defense, a #1 ranked special teams and now this season a 7th ranked offense and you hired a guy that tore apart the defense. I did my job.
  7. sorry, thought you were referring to whaley, wrong post. you were quick, didn't give me a chance to delete it when i realized my mistake
  8. If that's being selfish, then there is nothing wrong with being selfish. Why would someone not want to leave the game unharmed?
  9. Best fans in the NFL couldn't sell out a playoff game. Amazing.
  10. No he's not. Bench players still need to be effective , even off the bench. He's had 2 years in a row that he wasn't deserving of any playing time. Wouldn't waste my time with him.
  11. It would be hard to imagine him getting many offers. 2 terrible seasons in a row.
  12. Right after 14 games. Savage wasn't much better. But you're making my point and the point of others, not sure if you realize that. You can get into the playoffs with a strong defense and running game led by a '2nd tier' QB.
  13. That's all fine and good, but if Lynn gets the job, let's hope he fixes the practice issue before game day. I really don't want backups starting in meaningful games.
  14. He was very willing to overpay for Osweiler, the QB chose Houston over Denver. And it's not really over paying, it's the going rate for a 2nd tier QB
  15. Most people were saying, just give us a rich owner that spends money... it hasn't worked. Maybe expectations were too high ,but they aren't looking so hot right now.
  16. The Ravens are a very well run team that has won 2 Super Bowls. I don't know how far Houston goes, but they are in the playoffs so they have a shot to go all the way, we don't. I'd rather be in Houston's position today.
  17. Not sure what point you're making about the Ravens, whether they are good or bad. Right , houston doesn't and they are in the playoffs with the number 1 defense in the league and a strong running game. have to walk before you can run. Get to the playoffs first.
  18. but if we made the playoffs next season, it would mean that you are likely wrong about TT, and you're quite longwinded, you lost me during parts of your post. so do we just fantasize about which QB we would like or are we realistic about what we have. Very few teams have 'franchise' QB's and even those don't often win.(Stafford for example as I'm watching him now). So you deal with not having a elite QB buy complementing him with a strong running game and defense. This gives us our best chance to be successful. It's been posted by many others, a strong defense and we are in the playoffs this year. You can't keep dreaming for QB's that don't exist. You want a guy like Mariota/Winston- no playoffs so far. Would you be content missing the playoffs waiting for the QB to develop?
  19. maybe we should just pass on the first round.
  20. What makes you think that if we made the playoffs next season, it wouldn't be the start of a nice stretch of success?
  21. i can only speak for myself. I'm concerned they look at PR and miss the substance. Look at the Sabres first hires- Lafontaine and Nolan, fan favorites but Lafontaine , with no experience running a team, hires his buddy, who was a lousy coach, but fans loved them both. The team is much worse than when he took over. The first hire of the Bills with Rex, another PR move, and another failure. On the sports side of the business, the results have been horrible.
  22. I'll admit, it's an imperfect science. We have proved that over and over.
  23. because he'll only get better as he gets older? I like KW too, but careers need to end sometime. Is he worth $9mm?
