  1. I know, that's not what i was referring to. I appreciate your consistency in always ignoring the defenses role in a teams performance. Misguided, yet admirable.
  2. He would have been this year if our defense wasn't so sh!!ty.
  3. He can't come up with anything else. It's against his religion to criticize the defense.
  4. This is a change for you, so used to seeing 7-9 as your expectation, even earlier in this thread. You're throwing us a curve here.
  5. we could start a rookie QB and have a better shot at the top pick, is that what you want? How about we improve the defense/ST and try to make the playoffs?
  6. are we really desperate for a backup QB?
  7. I forgot about that, but makes sense, doesn't it?
  8. what makes you think he would be a good coach? He's never been an NFL coach before.
  9. are you ok with a backup that's a terrible QB, throws too many interceptions.... doesn't make any sense. So if he plays, you're ok if he stinks?
  10. Sometimes backup QB's need to take the field. For this reason, I wouldn't want him on the team. Not sure why anyone would want someone who they know isn't any good.
  11. wears his wedding ring during the game too.
  12. It's stupid talk. You've got 4-5 years to build a solid 53 man roster if you tank. Look how long it's taken the Sabres and they're still a ways away with a 20 man roster.
  13. Yeah, if we intentionally try to go 0-16, we should fire the GM. I have this strange feeling they are going to try to improve, call me crazy.
  14. this is based on last years results. Teams aren't the same year to year, except maybe the Bills. I've never put too much stock into this statistic.
  15. I can't imagine anyone outside of buffalo even cares about this.
  16. When you have better options on your roster, which most teams don't.
  17. I'm not so sure that people are passing over that fact or just pointing out that calling 2 more running plays on their fateful drive would have likely led to the Falcons winning the Super Bowl, despite the defensive collapse.
  18. Agreed. They were down too far to use that strategy.
  19. Reminds me of the Super Bowl XXV. Bills defense on for 41.
  20. I understand, what I'm asking is , if you were the GM speaking with Whaley, would you trade your first rounder for Taylor?
  21. would you give up a first rounder for him?
  22. For all the criticism Shanahan has rec'd for his play calling, I'm still shocked that he's not getting more. This is the most blatant error in play calling I've ever seen. In any regular season game, you would have seen the blue line at the 35 yard line as the 'to go to' line for a FG attempt. All the strategy for that last drive would be to get in field goal range to make it an 11 point game. I'm still in utter shock over this. Falcons fans will never get over it.
  23. I'm thinking people do take advantage of those things in theirs cities, for many, that's why they choose to live there. People may choose to stay in Buffalo partly because of the sports. People live in bigger cities because of other options. I live in Phoenix, I'm always amazed at the activity all around, not just with sports. Every city is different, it's not a big deal.
