  1. So just to be clear Peterman and Kizer are decent backups saddled with tough situations but Brissett is terrible?
  2. You are going to do well around here...
  3. This is the absolute best scenario for NP. He gets paid for another year and doesn’t have to play. He will have a chance again next year to make it on the roster.
  4. I agree 100%. I actually think he was arguably the worst player on the 90 man roster. It makes zero sense
  5. This is where I’m at. They didn’t get rid of Shady to find touches for Gore and Yeldon. They will both be used but this decision is about Singletary. It’s his job now.
  6. I think that it’s Singletary and not even close. This is his job now. Gore and Yeldon will see some action but Singletary will get 70% of the touches imo.
  7. I wish nothing but the best for Shady
  8. Well said...it’s just kind of sad. The Bills were a bad team and Shady came here and made them somewhat credible. He played well and broke the playoff curse. He’s a guy that I will look back upon fondly. Hope that he latched on with a contender and has a great year (unless he goes to NE ?).
  9. Don’t care what happens to Peterman. I hope he steals another half million. He means nothing to me. Shady makes me sad. I didn’t want this. I like Singletary and think he’ll be good but I’m down. Shady helped push this team forward.
  10. Pounded Wisconsin last night and feel good about it....ready to lose it back I like Auburn and Kansas (can’t believe I typed that)
  11. Chase Young is special
  12. Singletary - 1,123 Gore - 456 Yeldon - 112 Allen - 564 Field - 212
  13. So Zeke is what we are talking about?
  14. Sad to see Shady go but excited to see what Singletary brings
  15. I don’t like it.
  16. If they choose books they may come out of school making $60k or $70k on a good day. If they get to the league the minimum is $480k. It’s not a tough decision for someone that’s at that level. It’s just a hard fall. If I were in that situation I would do the EXACT same thing and think 98% of people would do the same.
  17. Not saying it’s a problem, we just miss the human element. We celebrate certain guys getting cut or making the team. We are all guilty of it. The reality is, for guys like Abraham Wallace, it sucks. This was his chance to provide for his family. He’s going to be starting over.
  18. You missed the point. When someone says, “they make more in the months that they are there than I do in a year.” That’s when you talk about career length.
  19. Oh they can, and I work with one now. They don’t all have MBAs though. 78% of all NFL players are either broke or in financial distress within 2 years of their careers ending. They are all starting over and they aren’t all starting over at the top.
  20. ...and you will work for 50 years. They may work for 3
  21. Roughly 25% on practice squads, 900 or so will be without jobs. Yes, it is part of the job and everyone knows that going in. That doesn’t AT ALL change the fact that 900 men and their families will be starting over. That isn’t something to celebrate. This is a chance for them to earn a lot of money in a short period of time. It isn’t a life changing amount for the back of the roster guys but it’s a start. I have 2 good friends that were fringe guys. One guy was on 7 rosters in 6 years (mostly as a PS guy) and the other guy had a 7 year career as a special teamer/backup LB. When they got dinged they couldn’t say a word for fear of losing their livelihood. The guy that was the LB said that he had at least 11 concussions and never said a word. This isn’t a guy with no other options either. He has an MBA and great people skills. That’s just the reality of the life that those guy’s live.
  22. This is a tough few days for about 1,200 men and their families. Far too often we lose sight of that. These guys have sacrificed for their whole lives to get to this point. Thought it was important to keep that in perspective as we celebrate/complain about guys that we wanted to keep/lose their jobs. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27483799/what-really-cut-nfl
  23. I really think that the Bills keep 7 WRs with Duke also making it. Jaquan Johnson makes it for me as well. I think only 2 of Boettger/Long/Bates make the team. I will go with Long & Bates. There’s no way that I would keep 4 TEs plus a FB but suspect that the Bills will. There’s where I’d find the other roster spot but my guess is that it is one of Pitts/Neal/Marlowe that has Johnson’s spot. So I guess from your list: out: Boettger out: Marlowe (last cut) in: Williams in: Johnson If Kroft isn’t ready I think Marlowe makes it and Smith is released when Kroft comes back.
