  1. Maybe I’m in the minority but I’m interested. Clowney could push the Bills into an all-time defense IMO. The one thing that the Bills didn’t do was get a ton of pressure. If you add Oliver, Clowney and a healthy Murphy...You can tag him again next year if need be. Let him know you’ll be signing him to a long-term deal. See if you can do it for Shaq/Murphy & a 3rd. This Bills team doesn’t have a lot of holes. I think that they’ll be looking at a WR, pass rusher and maybe another OL next year. Clowney checks a big box and with the cap space and picks left they can address those needs.
  2. I may be in the minority but think that Josh is potentially a problem for Gregg Williams defense. If he evades the inevitable rush he is going to make some big plays with his arm and legs. At this point in his career I think that the type of defense Josh would struggle most with would be similar to the Bills. They are disciplined and often have 7 guys in coverage. The Jets are going to be coming from everywhere and if Josh steps up he might be running for days.
  3. Naw, just always been creepy
  4. I was just as creepy in Buffalo.
  5. There really is no better place to talk Bills football. We don’t always agree on things but we all have one thing in common -our love for Rachel Bush.
  6. You said that he was “a Matt Barkley type.” I stuck their numbers next to each other demonstrating that Barkley has been twice as effective. It’s fine that Peterman is getting a shot. We just shouldn’t overrate who he is by calling him a “Barkley type.” We should say that “”he is historically the worst qB of all-time and is getting another shot.” That’s an accurate statement.
  7. In all seriousness, he’s underrated as a runner. He’s pretty effective when he takes off and he isn’t scared.
  8. Matt Barkley is 174-291, 59.8% completion, 7.4 YPA, 10 TDs & 18 INTs, with a 68.3 rating in his career. Nate is 68-130, 52.3% completion, 4.2 YPA, 3 TDs & 12 INTs, with a 32.5 rating in his career. Nate ISN’T a “Matt Barkley type.” That’s an insult to Barkley (who hasn’t exactly been Joe Montana). Barkley has been more than twice as effective as Nate. I promise that I'm done in this thread. Just want to provide FACTS to show just how bad Nate has been. Anyone can pick the worst QB that they can think of with at least 130 attempts and put them side-by-side. He will be worse. He was literally that bad. The worst that has ever played.
  9. He’s literally the worst player that’s ever played the position. - 356 QBs have thrown at least 130 passes over the last 40 NFL seasons. Nate Peterman ranks DEAD LAST with a passer rating of 32.5. Only one other player (Spergyon Wynn at 39.5) is below a rating of 42. - Nate Peterman’s 9.2 INT % ranks DEAD LAST and only one other guy is above a 7 (Peter Tom Willis at 8.2). Peterman is doing this in an era where guys are lighting it up in the passing game. To further the example, since he entered the league his passer rating is 32.5. The next lowest of ANY QB in that window with at least 130 pass attempts is 60. The next worst QB in the league has been TWICE as good as Nate.
  10. Death, taxes and Peterman lighting it up in August
  11. That’s a part. I’ve worked in the negotiations with the state before when I worked in the NBA. We charged $10 a beer and barely got anything.
  12. I agree but like the move nonetheless. The fringe roster guys on the DL are better than the fringe roster guys on the OL. Bates can also be a PS guy. These are the types of moves that good organizations make. Whether he makes it or not, he has a better chance to help this team than Harold had. The Bills are staying active and not getting complacent. I love that mentality.
  13. The reality is none of those parties get the ROI that a restaurant does on a beer (for example). It’s almost like taking a high interest loan. By the time you factor in the expenses + cost of goods and then divide the rest 4 ways (or whatever it is in the Bills case) it isn’t a lot. Now if you own your stadium (Jerry Jones) or one the concession business (Jeremy Jacobs) I suppose that you could take less. They don’t have to but can.
  14. There are a lot of hands in the pot which is why arena/stadium concessions are so expensive. The concessionaire, county, team, etc... all need to get a cut.
  15. Game pass is free for 7 days. I just signed up for it and will cancel tomorrow

  17. Not all are coming from New Orleans but some of are. I’d say that the NOLA crew will probably end up being 10ish. There are 5 that I know are already booked from here. I’ll know a little more after tonight.
  18. I guess that my point is that this isn’t who he was 12 years ago. Once Myra passed away he started wearing Jordan’s and dating 30 year-olds. It was like a 3rd quarter life crisis. No one begrudges anyone for having fun but there is a different place that we all fit. It’s like he took that as a chance to reinvent himself as the “cool owner.” You can’t try to become something that you aren’t. People see right through that. It comes across as fake. That is why I used Michael Rubin as the contrast. It doesn’t feel at all fake when he does the same things. It’s more natural. It’s his environment. I used my own example too. It’s totally normal if I meet my co-worker at happy hour at certain places. It’s weird if I go to flip night at the college bar where half of the crowd is under 21. I’m self-aware enough to know where I fit in and where I don’t. 99% of the population has that instinct. The people that try to fool people into thinking that they belong stick out. That’s the “new Bob Kraft.” The irony is that BB and TB know EXACTLY who they are. They fit perfectly into their environment and evolve with it. My buddy that played there LOVES them and swears by Brady. He said at all times he was the leader but totally under control. He goes to dinner, a party or a bar or whatever. He’d fit in seamlessly, pick up the tab and slide out without ever making a mistake or scene. The Brady you see on TV or read about is apparently the EXACT same person that he is in a small group. He’s extremely comfortable in his own skin. There is nothing phony about him. Kraft is a 180 from that.
  19. No, he thinks that he fits in (hence his own sneaker line). He thinks that he is “in” that group. He’s not. There are a few owners in sports that can fit in that scene and he’s not one (regardless of how bad he wants to be). Mark Cuban (although he’s almost aging out) and Michael Rubin come to mind. Rubin is 45 and grew up in this culture and generation. It’s not fake when he is hanging out with Meek Mill. When a 78 year-old Bob Kraft is with Cardi B and/or Meek Mill it is to prove to everyone that he’s young and hip. He’s not. You never see the Virginia McCasky at Lollapalooza. We all have a lane to stay in and SHOULD be self-aware enough to know where we belong. You can have fun and be cool regardless of your age. I have a friend that I work with that’s 23 and is always trying to get me to hang out. He’s in the middle of the social scene at all times. I’m 38 and it’s really weird if I go hang in his circle. It’s a bunch of kids recently out of college on their parent’s health insurance. We are in TOTALLY different places. I don’t belong. I’m out and having fun all of the time but in a crowd that’s 32-45 or so. That’s the environment that I belong in. I just think that he’s fake af. He so desperately needs the “cool kids” appreciation that it comes across as ridiculous. A “cool” 78 year-old is way different than a “cool” 28 year-old. Each is fine but when a 78 year-old tries to be the 28 year-old they get laughed at. It’s the Steve Buscemi gif. That’s why that gif is funny.

  21. My dad is a 68 year-old “life enjoying widower” so I take GREAT offense to that. If Terry Pegula was dancing on stage with Cardi B I would say the EXACT same thing. Not sure why you have your panties in such a bunch about this?
  22. I think that the fact that he owns the Patriots certainly plays a part (and potentially a big one). I think that hanging around Meek Mill and Cardi B feels SO INCREDIBLY FORCED that he should be clowned on for it. He’s 78 and trying so hard to “look like one of the cool kids.” People see right through that nonsense. It’s great that he’s 78 and wants to have fun. He should be enjoying time on a yacht, at a Michelin rated restaurant, traveling the world and seeking the company of a beautiful, successful woman 25 years his junior. He shouldn’t be rolling with 30 year-old wannabe actresses and rap stars.
  23. Every year, the Bills have sent a gamepass log-in to my dad. He’s a club seat holder so that may be why. However, the email hasn’t yet come this year. Has anyone else gotten one? Do you know if that is still happening? It looks like tomorrow’s game is on DirecTV so I’ll be okay (i think) but need it for after that. Any guidance is appreciated....
  24. I’m a little late to the party but booked my flight this morning. Not sure how many in my group, anywhere from about 5 to 30. Have no tickets and no place to stay yet but can figure that out too. I’m just excited to be going.
