  1. I keep harping on it but Dallas is in a different situation. They have Lamb, Cooper, Zeke, Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, Demarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith, Gallup, etc... all under contract for AT LEAST the next 3 years. They AREN’T making sacrifices to keep Dak. They have like 9 of their 10 best players (excluding Vander Esche) under contract for 3+ seasons. To equate the sacrifices that they’ll be making to the Bills it would be like being forced to go with Vosean Joseph instead of AJ Klein. You aren’t going to sign veteran depth guys. You’re going to have to draft well because the middle and back of your roster will be younger. Is that even a drop off though? That’s the situation that they are in. The top of their roster is locked in and ready to roll. They’ve drafted well so have some young talent on rookie deals. They’re going to have to continue to do so but they’re in good shape.
  2. There are certain positions that you can be empathetic towards. You should empathize with the VICTIMS!!! In this case, there were no victims. That’s a good thing.
  3. Just because you yell it doesn’t make it true. Dak is definitely good. That’s not even up for debate. Is Dak great? Can Dak become great? Those are different questions.
  4. Safe to say that MAYBE 2% of these are fake? It’s odd to chime in immediately after the initial post believing that it is the 1 out of 50. That’s just a bad look. Don’t be a victim shamer. Spend a few minutes in the mirror asking if that’s the guy you want to be?
  5. Praying for O’Leary!! That’s terrifying.
  6. 2000 is the worst draft in Bills history.
  7. I’ve never seen someone so excited to see someone put a noose in the work place of a black man. Congrats on your big win @B-Man!! Take some time to soak it all in. You don’t know the next time you’ll get a chance to celebrate another hate crime.
  8. Goodwin is a a special guy. This is great news!!
  9. The Bucs aren’t taking weapons from Brady. The Gallup option makes a lot more sense. I could see Houston as well. Kenny Stills and a 1 (maybe a later pick) for Adams.
  10. Why come into a thread titled “unpopular opinion” and take offense to someone else’s “unpopular opinion?”
  11. That feels like fair compensation. I actually think that the Jets may give up a little less (like a 5th).
  12. That’s what I’m thinking. I saw on the Jets message board they were complaining about a 1,3 and backup OL or a 1,5, and starting caliber DB. That seemed to be rumors from the Cowboys end. That actually feels like fair compensation IMO. That’s about what I’d expect.
  13. This is where they dropped the ball. I’d bet if they knew they could get Lamb they would have never paid Cooper. They can certainly afford Dak but he needed to be the priority.
  14. I tend to agree here. From reading a lot of this thread I’m not sure that Bills fans fully comprehend just how good Adams is. He’s the best safety in football (and I don’t think it’s that close). What separates Adams from everyone else is that he’s elite in coverage and in the box. Adams is a chess piece in the modern NFL. He can do everything and at a high level. If the Jets lose him the pass defense will crumble.
  15. They’ll have something like 9 of their best 10 players under contract for at least 3 years. The Cowboys can do it easily and have the rest of the core guys locked up long term (Martin, T Smith, Zeke, Cooper, Lawrence, J Smith, Lamb, Gallup, etc...). The Cowboys went a different route than everyone else and signed the roster before the QB.
  16. And Dak’s most recent year was his best. It’s certainly possible he takes another small step forward. He’s a top 10ish QB now. I don’t think that he ever gets to top 5 because he’s a little limited physically but he’s good. If you have a good QB you should take care of him.
  17. That’s why it’s called an unpopular opinion. I’m calling for 7 or less which we’d all agree is a little less than expected.
  18. One more unpopular opinion: I think that it’s more likely that the Bills win the AFC East than it is that the Bills win 10+ games.
  19. With that being said the Bills have the easiest schedule in the division. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-strength-of-schedule-2020-hardest-easiest/k6tyxtfog6uh14hb6vh59icqe
  20. As I understand it his sacks came in bunches against bad players. Candidly, I didn’t go back and look but know he really cooled off.
  21. Mario Addison will underachieve. He didn’t have a sack in like the last 8 games and he ate up terrible OTs other than that. I say he has less than 7 sacks which he hasn’t done in years.
  22. The likeliest to play IMO is football based on the timeline. The NBA could also be considered 1 as their plan is, by far, further along than anyone else. I say football because they have basically 5 or 6 weeks to start the regular season after the NBA. No one else is all that close.
  23. The tricky part is that sports and covid/social activism are so intertwined right now. They can’t operate independently of one another. These issues can actually prevent these leagues from playing.
  24. Is anyone going to point out how sports are back up and running in the rest of the world? Our bungling of the whole Covid-19 situation will be to blame if we have no football in the fall.
