So am I supposed to judge their relationship? It feels like it’s a stable relationship. Both are a little hard on the outside but they have a soft inside (especially McDermott). He feels kind of “ride or die.” I’d say that McDermott is pretty loyal. Beane feels like a bit of a player. I don’t want him to hurt Sean but think it’s possible.

Okay, this is now getting crazy. They believe that it has to do with an illness to Rudy Gobert. Stay tuned...

I mean I don’t know what people expect? I thought $10Mish but $12M won’t be a shock. Trent Murphy is about to get $10M and he’s a worse player that signed his contract years ago. -

I know!! It sucks that there isn’t one closer than LaPlace. If I head to BR or that way I usually try to make a stop. It’s not very often but Whatburger is really good. I can hit a sand wedge to Cane’s from my office at the end of Vets. -

This is an easy topic. The answer is Raising Cane’s and the 2nd place finisher is Whataburger. Everything else falls in behind them. -
I think that it’s fine to be by player. There is already a thread on the first page discussing Jones. That’s my issue. This time of year there will be a lot of players being discussed (Reader, Jones, Norman, Kirksey, etc). The board will have enough clutter without starting duplicate threads on the same guy.

99% of the board observes this simple request. This is like the 5th time in a week one person went rogue on a topic being discussed on the 1st page. It’s not like you had to go digging. If you want to comment on the thought open the thread and respond. Do not start a new one talking about the same topic. I’ll bet @Hapless Bills Fan would agree

The pre-draft visitors aren’t flown in on Pegs jet. They fly commercially and then are picked up at the airport by a member of the football ops department and brought to the facility. With that being said, I doubt any of these guys decline the opportunity for a job interview. My guess, with the situation where it currently is, pre-draft visitors are still flying in and out of the different cities.

Ha ha, probably a little Honestly, it may have been even more than 8. We had over 10 people get a perfect score on either section of the SAT. 3 people got perfect scores. There were probably another dozen or so that went to the Williams, Amherst, and Trinity type of schools (which are probably an even better education). It was a pretty sharp group (present company excluded).

My graduating class was 96 and I think at least 8 ended up in the Ivy League. Of those 8, some were bookworms and some a little more well-rounded. The connections are great for those that are a little more introverted. It gives them a natural door opener that would be more difficult with a lack of social skills. Those that were more well-rounded had even higher ceilings. Their Ivy League education has even outsiders swooning over them in addition to their alumni connections. One of my good friends in high school is now the president of LeBron James production company Springhill Entertainment. Maverick Carter, Rich Paul and even LeBron wouldn’t take no for an answer. They basically recruited him through a mutual connection. They didn’t know him at the time but thought that he’d fit the brand and bring an Ivy League education.

There’s a lot of reasons to connect Kirksey to the Bills. They have a starting spot open. 2 of his best friends start on the defense. The Bills have a lot of cap space. He doesn’t factor into the comp formula. The Bills interest and Kirksey’s interest shouldn’t be a surprise. Obviously the numbers will have to work but I’d be surprised if the Bills weren’t in on this.

2020 mock drafts/ fanspeak/ draft network
Kirby Jackson replied to ScorpionZero's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When we did the mock on here I took him to the Raiders at 20. Just feels like he’s a guy that brings a high ceiling and is a great fit in today’s NFL. He can do a lot and is still raw. -

Great athlete, but a little undersized. It’s tough to really judge because he replaced a legend and one of the best college LBs that I have ever seen. He’s a nice player but he’s not Devin White. Queen actually feels a little like Milano to me. -

I’m guessing that NFL people are higher on him than mock drafters. He COULD be a top 20 pick IMO. -
I’m probably in the minority but I’d lean towards Beane. The depth and talent that they’ve added over the last few years is insane. Outside of KB there haven’t been a lot of bad misses (although time will tell with Ford). This is a big offseason for the Bills but one more good one and this team will be loaded. I like McDermott a lot too. He’s built a phenomenal culture. His team’s play hard and are prepared. They RARELY just flat out beat themselves. With that being said, his clock management and challenge uses leave A LOT to be desired. At this point he’s much further head during the week than on Gameday. The good news is that it sounds like they are adding a title to a coach to focus on that. The sign of a good leader is recognizing issues and getting them fixed. I have confidence in both moving forward. My point was (and always will be) stop lumping 2 totally different jobs into 1 person. Evaluate them each on their own merits and responsibilities. That’s why I used the Josh and Hughes example. We’d never say was your opinion of “them?” They don’t do the same thing.

I like the job that both are doing. There are certain things with each that I wish was a little better. I didn’t grade them because I would have them in 2 different brackets (both good though).
