  1. Is anyone else as frustrated as I am with 10 yards between the punt returner and the closest person to him and a fair catch? Is that special teams coaching? This is absolutely unacceptable. That's 5-10 more hidden yardage during a game each time.
  2. I don't think this will catch anybody off-guard, but if EJ played like this through 4 games, not only would he still be our starting quarterback, we also have a 90% + chance we are 4-0.
  3. I am so very sorry if you feel this should be included in all the other threads but I really felt it would be lost and I thought it would be worth mentioning and I would truly and sincerely like as much input on this as possible. First and foremost, I am from Ohio and have been a Bills fan my entire life, and the thing about the Bills is you just don't stop being a fan. So chances are I'll be a Bills fan for life although it is quite difficult at times. That being said, I'll admit I was one that was watching Teddy Bridgewater on Sunday and posted a comment on one of the threads and kept asking myself "How do we continue to get this wrong time and time again, yet a team like the Vikings takes a QB with the last pick in the 1st round and darn near strike gold". Which brings me to the main point of making this thread. Please watch this video and the ONLY play, I really want to emphasize because the rest of the video I could really care less, the ONLY play I want you to watch then you can close the video starts at 0:26. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuwOOMNq2bE If you would like to chime in, the question I would like answered is: Has EJ ever in his entire NFL career made this throw because Bridgewater initially has a clean pocket but after about 2 seconds he has a defender coming at him from the blind side and another defender with a full head of steam coming at him. Yet delivers a ball, on time and on target, to a receiver running full speed across the field. The ball is not behind him, above him, too low. It is precisely where it needs to be where it needs to be 30 yards from the quarterback. So bottom line, can you pin point a time EJ has made this throw, if so, good on you, if not, do you believe seeing what you have inevitably saw over the past 14 games, has he shown any improvement whatsoever on being able to make that throw? Thanks guys and Go Bills.
  4. I'm pretty sure I would trade our entire football team and coaching staff for Teddy Bridgewater. He's looking like the real deal. Isn't afraid in the pocket, hitting wide open receivers in stride. Actually just ran a 10 yd TD. Ridiculous. I would rather have Bridgewater throwing to Stevie and Mike Williams and Woody than EJ throwing to Sammy. Another 4 years down the drain.
  5. You can hate on the offense and it would be understood. However, the Chargers have been better in all aspects of the game. Huge special teams mistakes, our defense can't get of the field, can't cover receivers, coaches can't manage the game. At the end of the half we are only down by 10 is the best thing I can take away from this. 1 TD from being back in this thing.
  6. Erik Pears is even below Chris Williams. Our O-line still needs a lot of work.
  7. I know I'm going to be a negative Nancy here, but am I the only one that thought if the touchdown catch got reviewed that it was actually a fumble that was either 1.) out of bounds at the 1 inch line, or 2.) a touchback and Miami football at the 20? The ball was quite clearly out of his hand when it touched the pylon. If it got reviewed there was probably 20% chance that it stood up with little video evidence, but I think about 80% chance it gets overturned. Sammy needs to do a little better job with ball security down in the red zone. Might hurt his ribs a little bit though holding the football against them as tight as he cant. Just a thought.
  8. I know you you are kidding. That would be great if they could. I do know a rookie WR can get OROY though =D
  9. Try uninstalling and re-installing the browser
  10. I thought McKelvin played well 75% of the time. I couldn't believe he dropped the interception. I thought that was the game when he dropped that even though we were getting the ball back - guess I didn't feel too well about our offense going 80 yard for the win. Sammy had a huge catch called of by a holding call. I thought Sammy could do more to take over the game but maybe they took him away, I obviously haven't saw anything to prove either way. I did think that the play calling in the third quarter was horrendous. The other three quarters were fine (I think it was the third quarter). We had zero pass rush againstCutler for most of the game and I would like to see that change. The biggest thing I can take away from this is our defense gave up a lot of yards but also had just as many key takeaways. That, coupled with getting back a starting linebacker and a starting corner next week can only make our defense better.
  11. Good fit? If we move Aaron to FS would he make a good SS?
  12. So with our current signings - that should give us a bit more predictable draft pick at 9. I think it's absolutely going to be Mike Evans or Eric Ebron. We picked up OL, LB, and CB for depth. The Bills know in 90% of drafts Evans and Ebron will still be there. EDIT: or it could be an RT to solidify our OL and protect EJ (or whoever for that matter) for years to come... and hopefully help Spiller get some more space this season.
  13. Pretty simple question here. Do we take a special look at Kelvin Benjamin since he has prior experience with Manuel or do you guys feel that prior experience with players isn't as important in the draft process?
  14. The only thing that scares me about another WR, is who's the odd man out other than 4 WR sets? Which how many of those have we seen this year? IMO Stevie and Woods are the same player and Woods has more upside. I think Stevie is the odd man out if we get a tall "throw it up in the end zone and let him get it" receiver such as Mike Evans, Kelvin Benjamin type. I do not i disagree that we need a 6'5 WR, but the fact of the matter is Stevie has no part on this football team anymore with Woods, the speedster Goodwin, and [insert WR name here]. And no Stevie also means a lot more cap space so there's that. and it goes without saying the Graham has no part on this football team. I'm not sure if Graham has a part on a football team. I think we're on the same page that he's a liability each time he's on the field. Who jumps to catch a football when they're wide open? That play had me sold on releasing him since seeing it. A coach can't fix instinct.
  15. After my grandma broke her hip she's never been the same. I say no.
  16. This is my best so far. Jake Matthews - OT Tex A&M Jace Amaro - TE Texas Tech Chris Borland - ILB Wisconsin Ahmad Dixon - S Baylor George Uko - DE USC James WIlder Jr. - RB FSU Jay Bromley - DT 'Cuse
  17. You guys would call for my head if I were the GM for the Buffalo Bills with this draft 9 WR MIKE EVANSTEXAS A&M 41 S HA’SEAN CLINTON-DIXALABAMA 73 ILB CHRIS BORLANDWISCONSIN 105 RB CARLOS HYDEOHIO STATE 137 QB AARON MURRAYGEORGIA 169 CB RASHAAD REYNOLDSOREGON STATE 201 DT JAY BROMLEYSYRACUSE Mostly BPA or near-BPA to fit needs. Couldn't pass-up Murray in 5, CB was the worst of the evils in 6, and a hopeful to take KWs spot in 7 because he's getting up there. ALOT of QBs / WRs in the later round that I couldn't take. Since we are unsure of Byrd I took S in 2. and FJs replacement in 3.
  18. Not that this honestly means anything, but the Seahawks made us look like this last year lol. And the Broncos are the AFC Champions. Either the NFC is that much further ahead of the AFC or the Seahawks are that far ahead of everybody else.
  19. 1.) Which one would you rather have? Is it even close? 2.) If we do pick one of these players at #9, and we do have 2 elite linebackers; with our current defense, bringing everybody back, is it one of the best in the NFL? I feel with another linebacker that can solidify the run and rush the passer, our defense has 0 holes, save maybe another DB or two for depth, but not because we need them starting. I personally feel offenses would hate going against our defense in this scenario and feel if we had a defense that could consistently hold offenses under 20 pts/game, (save New England, because I haven't witnessed a defense to date to be able to consistently hold a Bill Belichick offense under 20 pts) we would win a lot more games than we would lose.
  20. First of all, great post with some awesome research/sight. However, while I do agree with most of your points, I think there is a slight misconception when it comes to judging the QB/WRs/TEs. I think we can all agree that the passing game was horrendous. I think one thing the coaches must figure out, and should be their #1 concern, is: was the passing game a result of: a.) bad depth at the WR/TE position and/or lack of talent, or b.) the instability of our quarterback situation, not having a stable quarterback, and when we did he was still a learning rookie. I am going to go with b. I think with another year or two under E.J's belt, you won't see the same WR corps. Save TJ Graham, that guy is a joke. He shouldn't play back yard football, let alone for the Buffalo Bills. I've saw so many bad drops in key situations. I'm over having him on the field any longer.
  21. Can anyone give a definite answer as to why Glenn has not been in pro bowl conversations? I thought he had an all pro year. Do the current pro bowl tackles have anything over Cordy, other than they're all pro bowl alums, pretty much?
  22. Will Woods be hearing from the NFL?
  23. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000281466/article/ed-reed-new-york-jets-agree-on-new-contract Is this why these two organizations are going in different directions? If he has experience in Ryan's defense does that mean he also has experience in Pettine's defense? Could he have been a good acquisition considering Byrd's status for next year and us not having any legitimate depth at safety? Discuss.
