  1. Kolb just stared at C.J. Spiller harder than I was staring at the cheerleaders in the back of the endzone. Is he even a professional? Didn't even look like he went through his reads.
  2. I have been high on this guy ever since we took him, but for the second preseason game in a row now he's lead our receiving corps on the stat sheet. Gonna make it real tough to cut him.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but has Marcus Easley lead our receiving corps for the 2nd week in a row now? He's making a really tough case to drop him come judgement day.
  4. So in the two minute drill EJ could put it in the endzone and Kolb decided to be Captain Checkdown
  5. We are getting all this pressure on the QB, and we don't have Mario. Is it safe to say with our starting front 7 QBs are going to be running for their life?
  6. oh please why would you wish another sex boat scandal on us
  7. No that must have been his father. But on a more serious note, I didn't realize his stats were that bad, I Just remember him for nearly murdering Matt Schaub but only managing to rip his ear off. Probably wouldn't even be worth the money or the risk
  8. Thoughts? We don't have any proven middle linebackers at the moment and could come at not a cheap price but a reasonable one. Cheaper than what Dansby wanted I'm sure. Although he is not Dansby by any means.
  9. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000210224/article/ranking-the-nfls-top-40-wide-receivers Sorry about that. I would say 50% of the receivers ahead of him don't warrant their spot ahead of Stevie, whatsoever.
  10. #28 Steve Johnson " Johnson has been stretched as the Bills' No. 1 receiver." Again no love for the Buffalo Bills. I think this ranking is complete horse crap considering his stats on comparison with other receivers and his shear consistency. Thoughts?
  11. I truly think we are good at WR which I have not said in quite some time. I would rather keep the people that are more talented and see if they would be able to switch position. George Wilson was a WR converted safety and we are thin at S and CB so what about converting some of our more talented players and getting rid of our camp fodder? I would rather convert somebody to a position they can play than keep somebody at a position because that is the position they play naturally because we don't have the depth and they suck at said position.
  12. Here is the link I will be referring to in this post. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/5/4/4299554/2013-buffalo-bills-off-season-33-new-players-added Of the 33 additions and 19 or whatever so far subtractions I think we are coming out about even. Correct me if I'm wrong but we lost a pro-bowl guard in Levitre and also lost Nick Barnett who was our leading tackler. So I think, in conclusion we only lost two immediate impact players. Then I think of the 33 players we have new on our roster we break even and again have only picked up 2 immediate impact players. Kiko Alonso and Robert Woods. The jury will be out on EJ in the next couple years and Goodwin doesn't have enough football experience to make a IMMEDIATE impact. Da'Rick will have to prove he can stay out of trouble. I think Dustin Hopkins will beat out Lindell but I don't necessary call kickers game changers. Don't hate the pick just don't' think he's going to change a game. Thoughts?
  13. Looks like in Texas he ran a lot of reverses/end-arounds according to his highlight video. Something our offense didn't really have with Chan. Might be what Marrone was looking at, somebody that could go from one end of the field to the other quickly. Yeah I guess T.J. is pretty much the same thing, just pure speculation from his highlight video. Seems like more of a luxury pick to me, I would have rather had.... pretty much anybody else. TE, S, CB, DE, OT, OG, etc, etc
  14. I also believe Tavon Austin doesn't give us anything T.J. Graham can't give us. Second year receiver > rookie, even if it is Tavon Austin. Something I just got done saying in another thread. If they want a receiver and they don't want Patterson, I guess go after Eifert even though it would be hella high for a TE. I also would not like for us to reach for a QB here unless it's Smith which has pretty much been off the board's radar as well as the experts' radar for about a month now for some reason. I say we need to go DE/OLB/MLB.
  15. A lot of mocks we are taking Tavon Austin. I don't believe Austin would give us anything that second year receiver Graham couldn't already give us. If we are going after a receiver we need somebody, like Nix said, is open even when he's covered. A Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, etc. etc. That's why I think if we are stuck at #8 we need to take Cordarrelle Patterson if we are set on taking a receiver, which I hope we aren't. Even though we have went D in the past 2 drafts I think we still need a dominate linebacker, even in the off-chance we get Dansby, and another pass rusher in case Anderson doesn't pan out. (Dion Jordan, Mingo, Jones, Ogletree)
  16. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/18/vikings-interested-in-moving-up-in-first-round/ Viking want to move down in the first road to take a WR for losing Percy Harvin (Patterson, Austin). We pick up their 23rd or 25th and also gain another pick in the 2nd round to help them move up at least 15 spots. Pick up our quarterback here and possibly our WR and LB in the 2nd that could possibly be starters. If our WR or LB is there that we wanted to get rid of we take a TE. Thoughts???
  17. As much as everybody is either happy or fed up with our quarterback situation with the signing of Kevin Kolb, I can't help but remember us knocking out Brett Favre from the NFL and Tavaris Jackson coming in and absolutely destroying our defense. Discuss. P.S. I understand it was OUR defense but it is still an NFL defense and he absolutely made us look silly out there. P.S.S. We were also in charge of that game prior to him coming in.
  18. I go to UC and Kelce would be an absolute steal in the 4th round. Just like what was said prior, he has range, good hands, great size, and outruns safeties down the field. I have been saying this for some time about Kelce. If he came in to play TE he wouldn't even be battling for the starting job. The only reason he is not in round 1 or 2 is because he couldn't go to the combine because of his injury. Mark my words.
  19. So you are saying to not blame Nix because he didn't have much to work with on the draft board? Then you go on to say that they "blew it" on Colin Kaepernick, Andy Dalton, and Russell Wilson but you "don't know" if they will be any good because it's so early in their career. In their short 1-2 year career, all of them, they have taken their teams farther than Aaron Williams, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Kelvin Shepherd have combined. I think I speak for all of us here when I say I was sitting on my couch on draft day, 1/2 drunk, only knowing what I've read from google, Kiper, and McShay and I would have STILL drafted ANY of these quarterbacks over who we picked. Then we'd be having a different conversation right now.
  20. How the Buffalo Bills managed to not draft a franchise QB in any of those drafts. Most teams in the NFL are stockpiling QBs. (Seattle, New England, Minnesota, San Francisco, Denver, [side note: Denver had Tim Tebow then picked up Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow already took them to the second round of the playoffs, which is far far more than ANY Bills QB over the passed 12 years has done for us]) Buddy Nix absolutely needs to be gone. How somebody can be so dull in free agency and also over the passed 3 years fails to draft ANYBODY that could take over this team is beyond ridiculous. If any of us failed at our jobs the way Buddy has over the last 3 years we'd be gone! The Patriots have Tom Brady and looks like they will have Tom Brady for the foreseeable future and they still drafted Ryan Mallett in the third round. Not because they needed him, but because HE SHOULDN'T HAVE STILL BEEN THERE IN THE THIRD ROUND! Granted the Bills took Kelvin Shepherd with that pick but given the current state of our linebacker situation I think I would have rather had a POTENTIAL franchise QB than 1 decent linebacker. I say potential because he has never had the chance in New England. Bud I digress. I could go on with similar situation in Seattle (Matt Flynn, Tavaris Jackson, then they draft Russell Wilson). San Francisco (Alex Smith, then they draft Colin Kaepernick[side note again: which if I'm not mistaken was a second round pick after we took Aaron Williams]). tl;dr; FIRE BUDDY
  21. I'm not sure why everybody is so down on Tyler Wilson. If I were a bettin' man, or a GM I would get the best LB/WR on the board at #8 and either trade up or hope Tyler Wilson is there early in the second. Conversation Over. He has descent footwork, can throw the ball down the field, has had to read defenses. The only downfall is possibly his decision making and might Fitz some balls here and there. It's sad when you start to use Fitz as an adjective for "Throws the ball in to the dirt or overthrow receivers." But I digress. He is also mobile and still throws the ball on point with pressure in his face. He has the most upside of any of the quarterbacks in my honest opinion. He also needs to learn how to take the ball from under center if he wants to work in Marrone's offense, as well.
  22. I would rather take off one of the linebackers from the 3-4 rounds and replace that with Travis Kelce - TE, University of Cincinnati
