  1. How are we dropping screen passes? Choice needs let go. I've thought this for some time.
  2. I am a firm believer that the pitfalls of our offense under Chan Gailey was not his scheme or that it got "figured out" as much as it was Fitz couldn't throw the ball deep so they knew they could press receivers. They also knew it was all about timing with our offense.
  3. I think the number 1 person not getting enough love is kiko. 1 int 1 sack 1 PBU 9 tackles and 1 assist and EJ is up for rookie of the week for this team? Get outta my face. Plus his int came when Carolina was knocking and his sack ended the game. All crucial moments not garbage time.
  4. So if we double Amendola the entire game and stop the run we win by default?
  5. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/09/07/pats-downgrade-dobson-to-out/ Hamstring. It angers me that I literally know none of the people that Tom Brady is going to throw to tomorrow yet they are still favored double digits over us. This franchise needs to prove it has what it takes to keep up with the rest of the division again. Dobson was their second round pick and apparently number two on their depth chart. The other receivers are all undrafted. GO BILLS.
  6. I was honestly hoping, and I've never actually posted this, that we would have picked Tyler Eiffert at 16 and E.J. manuel (or whoever they had on their board) as the 1st pick in the 2nd round. Then possibly Woods or Kiko with the next pick, probably Kiko since Woods would have probably been gone. I know hindsight is always 20/20 and perfect scenarios and the draft is over blah blah blah but RIGHT when Buffalo picked EJ Manuel at 16 I loved the pick but wish they would have went about it differently. Such as the way I proposed.
  7. FSUs freshman quarterback just went 25/27 for 356 yards and 4 TDs. I'm really hoping FSU doesn't make quarterbacks just look good vs actually being good. Those numbers make E.J. look like an average quarterback. Apparently he ran for a TD as well. Every TD they had in that game was scored in some way or another by him. Here's to E.J. actually being good and not making a system make him look good
  8. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/oakland-raiders-cut-qb-tyler-wilson-fourth-round-184531227--nfl.html Wow. He must have been absolutely horrible for the RAIDERS of all people to think there was no way to groom him. With that being said don't bring him to Buffalo.
  9. To be honest I wish this first game was in Foxboro. If it were in Foxboro I would let Tuel start and sit EJ to let him recover another week but with the game being in the B-LO it actually makes it winnable so I want EJ to be out there.
  10. Profootballtalk just posted Buffalo is not going to add another QB. Does that pretty much squash that Manuel won't be healthy enough for week one? Why would you go in to week 1 with only 1 healthy quarterback? I think that all but says Manuel will be your week 1 starter. With that being said I think that gives us 2 CBs and 1 OL that we will be picking up either off waivers or via trade / whatever other source.
  11. I'm sorry I thought this deserved it's own topic. I just wanted to bring this to your attention and the mods can delete the thread after. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/09/01/the-bills-have-multiple-reasons-to-claim-tebow/ Pro football talk apparently agrees with a lot of posters here that we should claim Tebow. I normally like a lot of the things profootballtalk posts. But this was is absolutely ridiculous. Tuel is light years ahead of Tebow in every aspect of being a quarterback.
  12. Am I happy with that?Absolutely not. Will any of the corner we had on the roster previously make me feel better? Absolutely not. Marrone needs to bring actual talent in for the CB position
  13. I know this was probably known without me saying but Lions quarterbacks are dropping back and looks straight at whatever receiver Heath is on
  14. Yeah if Stafford could throw a deep ball Heath should have given up 3 TDs now instead of only 1. If I were Marrone I would cut him on the field and say "Next...".
  15. Am I the only one around here that feels the same with Leinhart in the backfield as I do Kolb? Other than reps I feel we really haven't lost anything talent-wise. Thoughts?
  16. you could just skip the parts we are on offense if that wouldn't take longer than the actual drive
  17. Other than our defense letting them go down the field on us on multiple occasions (which is a legitimate concern) I think our offense we shouldn't take too much away from this game. EJ was out and Kolb went out with concussion symptoms after that I'm sure Marrone told Tuel to not go out there and get himself hurt, just finish the game. Which is why you didn't see a lot of throws down the field and a lot of 2 runs 3 and outs which is why the defense got put in a tough spot all game. I think the only thing we should take away from this game is the lack of pressure (which could have been by design) and the lack of run defense. Other than the special teams played well, CJ played well, our starting O went down the field and responded to Washington's TD drive. I wouldn't focus too much on the offenses 3 and outs. Does my argument seem valid? Anyone have any thoughts? I didn't think Marrone wanted to come out of the game with 0 quarterbacks and didn't want his only quarterback going out there in preseason looking down the field 10-20-30 years while he gets blasted.
  18. not to give the D excuses but the O is not doing them any favors
  19. I know people get sick of hearing about Tuel but he looks so much more in charge of this offense than Kolb. I just feel better with him back there
  20. Moss was doubled by Searcy and Williams and still went for 50
