  1. I confess, I use it sometimes...not on purpose...
  2. Let's be honest, you were never going to trust anything she said. Your opinion of the speech was pre-formed years ago, hence you are thoroughly useless. I continue to be astounded by your off the cuff uselessness.
  3. His words have no meaning at this point...he shows it over and over...he wasted whatever capital his words have, a long time ago...
  4. When you are reading, and don't even know what you are saying, it is bound to come out a little off...
  5. Yeah....I could really care less about Super Bowl commmercials...like everything, we suffer from over-saturation...if I see a "great" commmercial during the Super Bowl, rest assuered. I will see it 9 million times over the next year (especially if you watch sports), I can wait... I miss the game iteslf being something special. Commericals? Yuck...most of the time, these days, when I watch sports (except for Bills games) I tune in about a half hour late, so I can fast forward through commericals. I won't do this for the Super Bowl, because I watch it every year with a group of buddies...some really dig the commercials...I just don't get it...
  6. So, is Flores a done deal as head coach in Miami? What if he pulls a Josh McDaniel?
  7. Maher has a ton of detractors (mention him on PPP), but most are those who don't watch him. Because he is an athiest, and a pot smoker, they assume they know his position on everytihg...I don't always agree with him, and there are times when he expresses some poorly inforned opnionis, but I appreciate his show, because it is about as "real" a political discussion you are going to get on television. He is also a realist. He knows what he wants, and he knows what is possible.
  8. For whatever reason, I have been following the Bucs pretty closely for the last few years. I have seen the majority of their games over the last two seasons...not to say that makes me any sort of an expert, but I honeslty think Jackson has plenty left...the bigger question is fit in my opimion, not ability. The Bucs, during Jackson's time with them, have been pretty loaded in the passing game...too many mouths to feed. Jackson is a guy who wants the ball, and isn't one to keep quiet if he doesn't see it for long stretches. I really do think he has game left in his tank.
  9. Beebe could make some of the toughest catches, but then turn around and drop the easy ones, He had his moments, but wasn't real reliable.
  10. Lofton had a bit of an off-field history at that time whcih people seem to have mostly forgotten...pre-internet...and people wondered the same thing. It worked out altight.
  11. It tried way too hard...it was murky, just for the sake of murky.
  12. I remember hearing Joe Montana once making the same point, about his own career. His point was that how you play is very much influenced by where and when you play, for most guys. It is an obvious point, but one that isn't considered enough, in my opinion. I have little doubt had Tom Brady been a sixth round draft pick by the Bills or Lions in 2001, he would be a foot-note in team history.
  13. Though I watched the season premiere last night, and thought it was pretty good, like you, I hated season 2. Season 1 was, in my opinion, brilliant, right up until the time in the second to last episode (I think) where McConoughey and Harrelson's characters met up in current time...then it kind of unraveled with an almost Scooby-Doo kind of ending... Season 3, first two episodes, were pretty similar in tone to Season 1.... don't want to give anything away, but it might not hurt to re-watch season 1 before season 3.
  14. Smart man! Not sure if I hated te Deadwood finale that much, but it certainly was unsatisfying. The show in my opinion, was just really hitting its stride and then just ended. Hoping the new movie will rectify that. Dexter would have been much better, if it had eneded about 3 or 4 years earlier...everything after the Trinity killer story was pretty bad. For me: the best" Sopranos and Rectify Worst: Mad Men. Absoluely love this show...but the finale, though kind of funny, was a little too trite for such a weighty show.
  15. Not that I have any skin in the game, but in what makes GEICO a "lousy insurance company"? I have been using them for auto insurance for about 12 years now, and I think they are awesome...at least as awesome as an insurance company can be. Anyway, I do agree, for some reason, GEICO, and Progressive both have pretty good ad campaigns...
  16. Huh? How exactly did Whaley "force" EJ Manuel down our throats? Manuel, a first round draft pick QB (who was drafted by his predecessor) started 10 games his rookie season, and only 7 more games in the next 3 seasons. I think you could make the argument that Manuel wasn't really given much of a chance at all. I get it, Manuel wasn't very good, but if a franchise drafts a QB in the first round, you would think he would get a little more time...and a good GM would realize, you have to give him that chance. Marrone, effectively, ended Manuels career after 11 starts...Whaley hardly pushed him down anybody's' throat. Rex Ryan was pretty much the defacto GM the minute he got hired. Whaley wasn't really given a real shot to be a real GM. There have been stories out there that Whaley, as pro personnel director of the Bills suggested Nix take Russell Wilson in 2012...and was in favor of drafting Mitch Trubisky during his last draft.
  17. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts now take credit card payments...
  18. Oil of Dog was the best...WZRD and CFNY were my favorites. You know, Gary Storm still has his Oil of Dog show on KSFR out of Santa Fe, New Mexico...Mondays and Tuesdays at midnight! https://www.ksfr.org/
  19. Other than White (bust, waste of time at this point), Cook (would command too much money, and is getting up there in age) and Bell (I'd rather stick with Shady another year, and draft a replacement in rounds 2-5, than spend this money), I like your other picks. Conely and Tyrell WIlliams are both intriguing for me...both could likely be had for resonable prices, and both still have upside.
  20. I never noticed anuthing particularly odd in his throwimg motion.
