  1. Things like this are not all that upsetting...only to some Mexicans....what's the big deal?
  2. Yes, New Orleans Brass...maybe Gators...anything but Pelicans!
  3. Thanks. That is where I am leaning right now. I have this vision of the Texans dimantling the Pats on Monday night...but how often does that happen. The way their stellar defense struggled against the Jags scares me a little. Bengals D is not as dominant...but the Cowboys are a lot more prone to mistakes, and unearned turnonvers than the Pats. The site we use (NFL.COM) projects that I am going to lose this weekend 163-86! Of course, last week, I was supposed to lose by the score or 135-85....I ended up winning 155-124. Projecting fantasy football points, I have come to the conclusion, is just stupid!
  4. Times might be tough, and money scarce in WNY, but Bills fans will go to games if there is some hope...but keep in mind, this was sold out because a good samaritan (Russ Salvatore) came in and purchased the remaining tickets. I will make it a point to go to his resteraunt when I go home for Christmas...
  5. I have enjoyed this show to varying degrees over the years...must say, this season, as chaotic as it has been, has been far more interesting than the last few...as Hopsguy points out, it is winding down, and things will come to a head. From the previews, it looks like Hannah will try to take out Deb...perhaps an act of "gratitude" for Dexter taking care of her father? Either way, it will be interesting to see what happens when Dexter finaly gets caught..or doesn't. For me, this show has always been best when Dexter is in danger of being exposed. The whole tension between he and Doakes the first two seasons was great... it has been lacking that ever since. Maybe LaGuerta can bring it back...and justify the seasons of silliness we have had to endure with her character. Very curious as to where, if anywhere, the whole story with Quin is going.
  6. Wow..that is really bad. A city with so much culture, you would think the brain-trust could come up with something better than that... the New Orleans Voodoo or something...but Pelicans just does not work for a male sports teams....
  7. Keep in mind, Rico has never met a QB he thinks is any good! Agree with KC, Cameron looks to call a pretty bad game, from what I see of the Ravens.
  8. This kind of reminds me of how I felt that Sunday morning in 2002 when there was buzz that the Bills were pursuing a trade for Drew Bledsoe. It was not an option I had ever considered...and, honestly, as an opponent against the Bills, Bledsoe never really instilled a lot of fear in me... but once it happened, I was thrilled with the move. I guess Flacco isn't my dream QB for the Bills, but I wouldn't be upset, at all, if it happened. For some reason though, I just can't see Flacco running Chan Gailey's style of offense. Maybe it is just me...so, are we getting Flacco and ejecting Gailey? The thing about Flacco, he can look really great some times...and only so-so other times. If you participate in fantasy football (I know, I know...) you become aware that Flacco plays much better at home than he does on the road. Not sure why that is, but it indicates some inconsistency. What I do like about Flacco? Huge arm...seems to have football smarts. And, at 27, he still has a little upside, I think.
  9. My lineup: Definite starts: Cam Newton -qb- (vs Atl) Frank Gore -rb- (vs Miami) Chris Johnson -rb- (@ Indianapolis) Wes Welker -wr- (vs Houston) Marques Colston -wr- (@NY Giants) Jimmy Graham -te- (@NY Giants) Jason Hanson -pk- (@ Green Bay) My question: Who to play at FLEX position: Bryce Brown- rb- (@Tampa Bay) Michael Crabtree- wr- (vs Miami) Brian Hartline -wr- (@San Francisco) Josh Gordon -wr- (vs Kansas City) Which defense: Houston (@New England) Cincinnati (@ Dallas) As always, any input is appreciated!
  10. Mario says "the forcast calls for pain!"
  11. 2:40 of bliss! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41XltzqhGQ8&playnext=1&list=PL7F6E61D7A85C9B36&feature=results_video
  12. I don't always agree with Chef...mostly never on a lot of things...but I know he has integrity!
  13. What amazes me most about Morrison, despite all our linebacker woes...the "vetran presence" could never crack the lineup...and didin't even warrent an active roster spot for the majority of his time in Buffalo...my question is, why did this move take so long to happen?
  14. Good luck~! Jeez, I just went and looked at your team...you aren't exaggerating...injuries did kill you. MJD, McFadden...DeSean Jackson! Nuts. In some ways though, having a guy get injured, instead of just sucking, is better..at least you know you won't get anything from him and you can start someone else...of course, in our league the roster depth is pretty thin.
  15. When was the last time the Bills beat a good team, not counting the good team they beat?
  16. Yeah...sorry....you hit a tough stretch, and Andrew (with his unfortunate team name) made a rally...
  17. Rumor seems to be that Dallas would be interested in Andy Reid....
  18. It sounds like the Cheifs themselves are handling things right. I don't really have a problem with them playing the game... I think it just takes time for people who are closer to the situation to get perspective. If the players had voted not to play the game Sunday, that would have been fine too...but they would be playing it tonight instead...who knows what difference that would make? The Perkins family isn't really going to feel any better about the situation...just hard to know what is the rigth thing to do. But I haven't seen the Cheifs doing anything unseemly. That said, I dabble a little in sports collectibles stuff...the number of autographed Jevon Belcher items on EBAY went from 0 to about 30 on Saturday...and some ass has designed a "Jevon Belcher memorial" hat pin/tie clip that was available on Sunday, using the Chiefs logo..to EBAY's credit, they have removed almost everything that was listed...truly tastless. Human nature is very dark sometimes... Yes, the world is a much better place when everyone has a gun...
  19. Update: phew....beat my opponent (the #1 team in the league) by a score of 155-124... Cam Newton (34pts) coming on at the rigth time for me...also, Texans D, (which had gotten me a combined 1 point over the last two weeks) got me 25 pts, Jason Hanson -18pts...and, right before kickoff, I changed my Flex player from Ryan Broyles (3 pts yesterday) to Bryce Brown, who got 31pts. So, in the end, I got in on my own...needed no help from anyone else...kind of worried about week 1 of the playoffs...most of my key guys have tough matchups...my foe looks to have better matchups...on top of that, I am 0-2 against him this year...
  20. Meh...
  21. Strange..but the same day that this happened, a member of the Cleveland Browns grounds crew hung himself at Cleveland stadium: http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-12-02/browns-employee-suicide-dead-death-hung-himself-equipment-storage-shed?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl8%7Csec3_lnk3%26pLid%3D240603
  22. Going pro next season? Anyone see him with Buddy?
  23. Agreed... now we gotta wait another year! Bobby Canavale (sp?...the guy who plays Gyp) was a stand-up comic, believe it or not...really good actor...he was excellent on the last season of "Nurse Jackie" as well.
