This is fun too, minus the violence...this could be someone here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLoqti0lzAw

If you really look closely at that play, forget the pass to CJ over the middle (though CJ seems to be the master of changing directions on a dime), and you will see that Donald Jones is wide, wide open around the two yard line, close to the sideline...I have no doubt that, assuming Fitz was completely off the mark, Jones catches a pass there and runs it in the final two yards, or is able to get out of bounds...it was 1st & 10 with 28 seconds on the clock...there was no need to take consecutive shots at the endzone like that, IMO. The Pats were playing the enzone... I don't want to kill Fitz, cuz if he completes that one single pass, we are all agreeing (I think) he played pretty well...but, honeslty, if you watch that play, and you can see everything, Graham (not because he is a rookie, but where he is on the field) was probably the worst option on that play. That is, to me, the biggest mistake on the play...Fitz wasn't reacting to what was there, he was just determined he was going to throw it in the endzone..there was too much time left to force something...
-
C'mon...if Fitz completes that pass to Graham, nobody is saying that he shouldn't have been throwing it to a rookie...who he was throwing to is not really an issue. What I found a little puzzling about that last sequence of plays was the fact that the Bills were on the 15 yard line, 1st & 10, with 33 seconds left on the clock, no timeouts...I get going to Chandler in the endzone on first down...but I am not so sure I would have gone to the endzone on second down...Spiller has shown to be great outside the hash....I might have passed it to him close to the sideline and have him either try to run it in, or get out of bounds....I guess it is easy to second guess, especially when things didn't work out...but I was real nervous about Fitz throwing that in the endzone on back to back plays, when he had other options...the Pats looked to be sending all their coverage to the endzone...Spiller and Jones were both open...Jones practically all alone on the 2yrd line, not far from the pylon...such a shame...call it a meaningless moral victory, but they gave it what they had...game of inches they say!

Prominent head coaches that could get fired.
Buftex replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want some fire on the sidelines...how about give Mike Singletary a second chance? Seriously, of the guys on that list, I might be willing to kick the tires on Andy Reid...but I will almost bet, if he does get canned (I think he will) he will sit out a season or two, before coaching again. Also, would be intrigued by Payton, but I think there is absolutely no chance he will land anywhere but New Orleans or Dallas. The rest...no thanks. -
Oh goodie...another Jerry Sullivan sucks thread...this should be pinned, along with a GR55 sucks thread...it will save everyone time.
-
Looks like my luck ran out today...unless something amazing happens tomorrow night, I will finish with the second most points this week, behind only you! Damn Wes Welker...he did little against the Bills today, thus screwing my FF team, while having to endure another, numbing, Bills loss...cursed I tell you! Oh well, at this point, I just don't want to have to play Taste the Dwayne Bowe in the first round of the playoffs! He is in first place now, by a half game!
-
Should be a close game...I am under no illusions that I have a great team...just a lucky team...I have almost 100 fewer points scored against me than anyone else in the league...last 4 weeks will be tough...playing against the "elite" teams in our leauge. Tell Charly I am rooting for her today..big time! Also, I am pulling for you... to lose!

Chiefs deny talking with Schotty
Buftex replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wish I could remember the source, or how this rumor came about, but as I recall, Buddy Nix had considered pursuing Schottenheimer (when we got Gailey) but Ralph Wilson put the kabosh on it...in fact, at the time, it was said Mr Wilson did not want either Schotsy or Jim Haslett coaching his team. Who knows what the reasoning would be, if this is true. IRT Haslett, it might just be that he is kind of a classless douche...but Schotsy? Clearly, Mr Wilson wouldn't be concerned about his age...could it be that he wouldn't want to pay a head coach the amount of money it would take (or would have taken after the 2009 season) to sign Schottenheimer. It seems well known that Mr Wilson is not a big fan of paying top dollar for coaches... While I think the Bills could far worse than Schotteheimer (they have many times), I think they need to go younger. -
Yes, I think I am sticking with Hartline...thanks. Of the receiver options I listed, who do you think is the most expendable? If you don't mind me asking! Damn you and your Cecil Shorts! I felt like Karl Rove on Nov. 5th, when I saw you were starting two Jags...

I think he spent some time with the Steelers, and then to the Cheifs. I think he is on their practice squad...

CIA chief petreus reisgns over affair?
Buftex replied to truth on hold's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It sounds like it was Petreus choice... "Yesterday afternoon, I went to the White House and asked the president to be allowed, for personal reasons, to resign from my position as D/CIA," he said in a statement. "After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours. This afternoon, the president graciously accepted my resignation." He made a personal decision...maybe his marriage is more important to him than his job? What are you hearing that makes you feel like there is something more to it? -
I think Dierdorf is one of the better Sunday afternoon color guys.

Fair enought...but the results of that election was in question, and there was some rather "fuzzy math" going on. Slightly different than a guy running for his second term, with a vocal minority (I will give Repubicans some credit), some even running for office, clinging to some notion that the President didn't meet the most basic qualification of being elected POTUS. You can't convince me there wasn't anything racial in that.
-
No, I guess I missed that joke. And of course, I know we have never had black Presidenet assasinted or impeached (is the impeached thing subliminal?), but we have also never had a white president whose legitamcy has been questioned, over and over, He is elected a second time, and it still goes on.
-
Sorry 3rd...maybe I didn't get the gist of what you were trying to say. My "race card" comment was just taking what I thought was an idiotic comment from you, one step further. You are claiming that Obama chose Biden as his VP, because he knew he was incapable, but GW chose Cheney, because he knew he was capable, should he be called upon. You are making nonsense, partisan arguments, the kind that you are usually quick to jump on anyone else for. Perhaps I shouldn't have used the "race card" (though when it comes to the concept of presidents being assasinated, the color of his skin is not irrelevent), but I was trying to avoid the whole "you know, GW was president only in title, Cheney was pulling the strings". Not trying to cop out on anything... you should be know by now, I will argue you till we are both blue in the face...sometimes you convince me when I am wrong, and I am more than willing to admit that. Sometimes, I appreciate that quality in your arguments. Touche!
-
You are such an !@#$....tried and true.
-
Your comment was idiotic... It is not nice to argue with the mentally imbalanced...so I will leave this one alone.
-
Delightfully twisted logic! Of course the white guy wouldn't need assasination insurance...

Nate Silver Excuses Documented Here
Buftex replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I don't think the board could handle it if we had to pin every OCinBuffalo lunacy thread! Seriously...Silver was right all along, so many others were wrong! Very wrong. I guess we will have to remember this for 2016, assuming we aren't all murdered during the chaos that will surely erupt during the 1,000 years of darkness... -
Nothing to do with this gameday Sunday.....
Buftex replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I should preface this by saying, I am not a WNY Bills fan any more... I know where you are coming from...but I disagree. I do agree, the fan base deserves better. However, the team has gone out and spent money. We can argue all we want (and we want, we want) about how they spent that money, but I don't think, right now, in 2012, not supporting the franchise is the way to go. The owner has not always been willing to spend, so we shouldn't discourage when he has. I am not giving up on the idea that Mario Willilams can still turn out to be a very good player for the Bills. Sure, I would love to see a more inspired coaching choice, but I don't hate Gailey. When the teams future in Buffalo is as tenuous as ever, and the owner is at least trying, I don't see the point in pulling back now, after supporting them through so many garbage seasons. That feeling in your stomach every Sunday may suck, but having no feeling at all would be even worse, IMO. -
How about that 2 Million Dollar Spectator
Buftex replied to Rob T from OP's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, if you are right about TJax > Fitz....and the theory about the draft pick thing (6 starts changing the conditinal draft pick) is accurate...and assuming the Bills continue to circle the drain...maybe we see T Jax for the last 5 games? What Buddy said about having a franchise QB in place before he retires, and some of Chans' comments have to make one believe that the braintrust is not as sold on Fitz as they once were. Of course, if they are smart, I doubt they view Jackson as a possible franchise QB either...but you never know, do you? -
How can I block you from this forum?
