  1. Agreed again! Now, I don't, by any stretch mean that Maria Sharapova isn't good looking...very good looking in fact...but "sexiest woman on the planet" is a whole other category. You have an amazing talent!
  2. Both could be possible.
  3. KD, we agree on so much...and so little! I don't find her all that hot...
  4. Second...behind Greg Popovich (San Antonio Spurs) by 1 year...and 4 league championships.
  5. I am always amazed by how disjointed and draggy the bigger action sequences on this show are...the whole Darryl VS Merle showdown was a thud...the action never seems to flow...can't put my finger on it, but, I absolutely agree with you...I enjoy the show pretty much, but I always think it could be much better. When an episode is over, I rarely find myself wanting to see another right away...
  6. It has been a while.
  7. Honeslty, while I enjoy the show for the most part, it continues to be the writing that lets me down.
  8. If he comes to the conclusion that he made a mistake in re-signing the GM, I don't think he will necessarily let the money stand in the way of firing him. I am honestly not sure that Reiger is the problem...I do think there is talent on this team...certainly enough that they shouldn't be a solid playoff contender every year...jeesh...playing just slightly above .500 hockey will normally get a team in. Yet every year, it seems (except the Prez Cup year) the Sabres dig themselves a big hole, and then have to scratch and claw their way out of it...if they make it out, they are usually a drained team and get bounced right away from the playoffs...or, they just barely miss... They just aren't producing on the ice...and there doesn't really seem to be the sense that there will be any repercussions for failure. I like Lindy Ruff, don't get me wrong, but, as the old cliche goes, you can't fire all the players, so you have to make a change somewhere. In the NHL, maybe more than any other sport, we have seen coaching changes work out positively for underachieving teams...
  9. I am not off the Pegula bandwagon....I am still thrilled to have him as our fracking owner!
  10. I might be a little more interested in some Kansas City Chief scraps... Steve Breaston and Keving Boss were released yesterday. Boss was knocked out with a concussion (against the Bills) but was productive before that....but Breaston really interests me. I really liked him in Arizona, not sure what really happened to him in KC. I think he could help out our thin WR position.
  11. Promo, I hear you. And, I know you are as loyal a fan as there is, so your words hold some weight. I am not ready to jump of the Pegula band-wagon just yet...if he is as smart as we hope he is, I just don't see how he can let this go on. I appreciate the fact that he is loyal to his guys (loyalty seems to be a tragic Buffalo quality, but endearing), but that quiet building last night had to have spoken to him. He will likely give Ruff the rest of the season (though if they don't make some sort of a run very soon, maybe not), but there is just no way he could bring him back next season with another under-achieving, losing season on his resume. Could he? If he does, at that point, I might start questioning the owner. Remember, Pegula has only been owner for one full season. We know the team came up short last season (Pegulas' only full season) but they did make a noble run from January- April...I can understand the hesitancy to pull the plug.
  12. Yeah, I am in no way saying that I think/want Jackson to start, though he might prove to be better than Fitz. I was just opining as to what his motivation would be to sign a non-guaranteed, relatively low dollar, one year deal with a (lets face it) lower- rung team, when he could have likely got the same money, and served the same function on another team. I guarantee you, if Buffalo hadn't re-signed him, somebody would have. Just as somebody will sign Fitzpatrick when/if he is let go. I am thinking he must have heard something he liked from Marrone & co. to make that decision.
  13. I have heard (maybe this is old news by now, sorry if that is case) that Tarvares Jackson signed a 1.75 million dollar contract with the Bills, with no guarnateed money. If that is the case, I am thinking the Bills new coaches must have convinced Jackson that he has a very strong chance of starting. Why else would he have stayed in Buffalo? If you believe what he talking heads say, there was some interest in Jackson from other teams... As for Metzelaars, I was real happy when the Bills singed him to their coaching staff, and was hoping he would be a holdover with the new group. But, I would never presume that the new coach should hire someone he is more comfortable with. The way his comments came out, I don't really read it as a "trashing" of Fitz, particularly when you put it into the context with the part of the statement that is not quoted by OP about having a dominating defense allowing a team to win with an average or below average QB. Essentially, he seems to be placing the blame on an underachieving defense as much as he is Fitz.
  14. Awful game...awful team. One good period of hockey against another team that is struggling, at home, is not going to cut it...this loss the same as all the others...give up a goal in the opening minutes, cough up the puck on every possession, stand around and watch the other team skate circles around you in your own end...just bad hockey. Credible reasons for not making a change are almost non-existent...
  15. Just checked EBAY...there are lots of them, pretty cheap too. You can get one for around $55.
  16. I have a Mithcell & Ness Jim Kelly 1990 SB 25 jersey (size 54), new, with tags I would be willing to sell...it is a white road jersey! Pretty sweet looking...but I could never wear it....been hanging in the closet for years. PM me if you are interested.
  17. Well, obviously, somebody who kills their dog, or themselves isn't in the same place as you are...
  18. Yeah, it certainly seems like she wasn't forthcoming with the police. They said that she was never officially a suspect, but they are also quick to point out that she wasn't not "not a suspect" (tee-hee!)...investigation was ongoing. Her account of what happened the night he died changed over her talks with the police. First she said she didn't hear any shots, becasue the tv was on loud..then she changed that story...we will likely never know what really happened to him. As for the "Celebrity Rehab" thing...like I said earlier, I think Dr Drew is a sham...I used to think he as a good guy...but that show is complete, utter, garbage.
  19. It seems that some of McCready's statements to the police were not adding up, regarding her boyfreinds "suicide". It was her publcists that said it was a "self inflicted gunshot" that took his life...law enforcement never realeased that as the cause of death. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20675099,00.html?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl2%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D271978
  20. Well, on this part I agree with you...I would hate for the Bills to draft a guy in the first round, just to say they have a "franchise QB", as they drafted a guy in the first round...we already went through that with Losman. Who knows, if Losman had been picked in the 3rd round (as most scouts had him projected) maybe there wouldn't have been the rush to anoint him the starter, only to find out three years later, you still don't have a QB. I won't pretend to know enough about any of the guys that are considered the top 5 or 6 QB prospects in this draft...I only see the highlights, and hear what the "experts" have to say. Based on that, I am with you, and I am convincing myself that I am content with settling for Fitzpatrick/Jackson for another year, and drafting the best LB (Ogltree, red flags and all?) available.
  21. Not sure what you are having such an issue with...what I hear Whaley is saying that no QB in the draft is great in every area, so you pick the one whose strengths are most important to your offense. For instance, a team wanting to run an offense like the 49ers probably wouldn't draft a pocket QB. A team, like the Raiders, who have traditionally valued the bomb, is probably looking for a QB with a big arm, more than they are concerned with a QB who is a runner....
  22. Great catch...kind of odd, Dr Buss wearing a Bills Super Bowl 25 hat to the 2002 NBA Finals....flipping through that picture gallery, never realized how much he looked like Costanza's father from "Seinfeld". As a Celtics fan, can't believe I am going to say this, but I really hope the new Lakers management doesn't let that franchise fall into mediocrity.
  23. Well...Bills can only franchise one guy...so "both" is not an option. While I like both guys, and desperately want the Bills to bring both of them back, I am leaning toward Levitre if you have to choose just one. The Bills have had such trouble with their O-line over the years, to finally have a piece that you know works...it seems ludicrous to let him go. Byrd certainly has had a nose for the ball, but I think what he adds to the roster is more easily replaced. A lot of what he does relies on the rest of the defense... an blue-chip O-linemen, while not as glamorous, is a integral building block for a successful team.
  24. There is actually a pretty good "myth-buster" article fron Howard Simon, on the GR web-site concerning this. In the 11 years since Hasek left Buffalo, the Sabres have had the #10 ranked defense twice, and #4 once....the #4 ranking came in 2010, when Miller won the Venzna trophy. W ith Hasek the defense under Ruff was #3, #8, #2 and #1. So, it appears that Lindys' defensive philosophy amounts mostly to "have a damn good goaltender". All other years, the Ruffs' teams have ranked in the lower half of the leauge. http://www.wgr550.co...tentId=12403349
  25. Take some solace that inept coaching has cost this team, in my estimation, anywhere from 3-5 wins almost every year for the last decade. The cliche goes something like "a good coach puts his players in the best position to win". I don't think either Chan Gailey or Dick Jauron did that on a regular basis. I don't believe that the talent level on this roster is that much worse than so many other teams in the league. Now, that still may not translate into a playoff apperence, or a winnging record, but lets give the new HC the benefit of a doubt. There is a tendancy (and I am guilty of it too) of holding the current team responsible for the failures of the last...as it turns out, we have had a horrendous decade or so of bad football, but there is no reason that has to continue. I get that none of us are real excited at the prospect of heading into a year with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tarvaris Jackson as our QB options...but in the right offense, and a coach that doesn't expect more out of them than they can deliver, either guy, with their experience, might be able put up a respectable season...
