  1. Yea, its only practice. But...anyone that has watched Hogan at camp would say...I want that guy on my team. He is an amazing athlete. He is becoming a nice asset to this offense as I told my young daughter he would. He is one of us. Root / Route/ Rute (for the spelling police) for this possession receiver. He is a diamond in the rough. And he's ours. Happy happy happy.
  2. Nothing to add to that in our case. You make an excellent point, and an exception to what I stated above. This here is a good example (on the other hand) of how one player does not make a team great. You've supported my original comment. I wish I could argue with all of your post, but I really cant. Because...you are probably right !!
  3. Kind of surprised you'd even waste key-strokes on this obvious fact.
  4. Amazing how people think ONE PLAYER is gonna make a team GREAT.... Instantly. The Harvin thing means little and I agree with your take, Yo. The Seahawks benefit because now they have the space (hopefully for them) to sign Russel W..
  5. I think it will be a tough game. As good as Teddy is going to be one day...and I expect a decent game out of him this week...he will end up making a rookie mistake that costs his team the game. Just a gut feeling. Bills in a nail-biter.
  6. You may be right. All we can d is hope for 2 things: He plays well enough to get us a playoff birth, and...EJ develops into a great QB learning behind him. Crap if the 2nd thing doesn't happen we are back to square 1.
  7. As I see it he isn't Tom Brady but at the moment he is our best option. With good protection he can complete a lot of passes. If Orton wasn't good he wouldn't still be in the league after 10 years. Again...right now he is our best option. I'll go with the coaching staff on their decision. They know more than I, and most of us here ever will about our team.
  8. My thoughts exactly. Would love for him to stay here though.
  9. Awesome post, Dan. I even bought a new TV for the man cave to watch this one. Totally stoked, and of course...cautiously optimistic. I'm uncertain if we've turned the corner yet but with a win today it'll be a huge step in that direction. GO BILLS !!
  10. We are all picking up what you are laying down. Spiller is the one that is really killing me. The best player on our team yet we NEVER give him the ball in space. Thats where he can destroy a DC's plan. I fear CJ will become a Patriot and burn us year after year. Become the #1 back in the league. We've seen it happen before.
  11. .............and the reality is he'll most likely smoke our defense. He is one of the best QB's of all time. You guys routing for him to get injured are not fans of the game of football, or life. Wait till you have a kid....and your kid breaks his knee. You will then understand what I am saying.
  12. If he plays well, stays healthy and keeps this team in a competitive situation he will continue to be the starter. It may last a half dozen games, it may last a half dozen years. He controls his own destiny and yes, I see no reason he cant be a long term starter. As long as he helps the team win football games. And...EJ will be fine. I honestly believe he's in a good spot too.... learning the craft behind Kyle.
  13. Thanks Ice Bowl. We appreciate your thoughts.
  14. With one exception, on any given pass play only eligible receivers can cross the line of scrimmage before either A) a pass crosses the line, or B) a defender touches the ball. The exception is on a forward pass that doesn't cross the line of scrimmage (like a screen or shovel pass). On such a play, the linemen can cross the line and be on their merry ways.
  15. I would agree. Especially since it was his knock off the rust 1st game in a while. Another thing, and it doesn't show on the stat sheet. Kyle threw that pick six just as EJ did the week before against Houston. The difference I thought was Kyle remained poised after that horrible play (and a good play by the defender). I "think" EJ got a little rattled when he was picked and its very understandable. Its just another benefit of having an experienced vet. EJ is in a good spot. He'll continue to work hard and he'll learn a lot. He just needs a bit more time. Thanks for stopping by Pack Fan. Hard not to like a team like that. Good luck the rest of the season.
  16. Who do you propose we replace him with ? And...how does getting rid of CJ make the Buffalo Bills a better football team ? Help me out here.
  17. Baloney. I'll up that to 25 years !
  18. Thanks, Flap. That is great news.
  19. You are a good fan. Prayers and all the best to Mr. Brooks. Hate like hell seeing these things happen.. Even when its the opposition. Be well Ron Brooks. We are all routing for you to be healthy.
  20. Probably will. Wouldn't surprise me a bit. I hate the Pats as much as anybody but the way people trash Brady here shows who the cry babies really are. Brady is a future hall of famer and a super bowl winner. He's done it all, and is still doing it in his late 30's. Love em or hate em, you've got to give the man a whole lot of credit.
  21. No idea, but the beauty of this is the Lions D has to ask the same questions. There will be more guessing on their part. A better passing game (I suspect) may help the running game too. I think our play selection gets larger with Kyle. No more simplified playbook. Kyle is a smart and experienced QB. BUT...I'm very worried about Detroit picking our secondary apart. Man I cant wait for this game.
  22. S Sorry to hear it, man. Its one of the hardest..maybe THE hardest thing I've ever had to do. It ruined me for days.
  23. Well, EJ has progressed very well in those 13 games. OK, I'm just kidding. He has probably peaked. He will never ever be an average QB in this league. They whiffed. If they took em in the 3rd round I'd say...good call as he may well make it as a back up some day up but lets face it. He will NEVER make the playoffs for any team as a starter. Will he have a few very good games ? Absolutely. Will he ever do it on a somewhat consistent basis? I highly doubt it. He's a deer in the headlights. His CPU speed is way too slow...throws off his back foot........cant read defenses.......cant throw accurately....makes questionable decisions although he has improved there. I think he's just not gonna make it in this league and its unfortunate. He is a classy nice fella and one that I will continue to support. Really like the kid but I'm just not seeing it on the football field.
  24. +1. Very cool that you got to watch the game with your Dad on his big day. Yea, Happy Birthday to him.
