  1. True, but the rookies have had no mini-camp, no OTA's, and now, possibly missing the start of training camp. Not good for teams such as the Bills who will look to many of these rookies to contribute this year.
  2. Is there any way these rookies(both in Buffalo and across the NFL) all get signed and ready to go for the start of training camp? I thought with the rookie wage scale, that getting these guys signed would be a no brainer.
  3. In your previous post you said that the philosophy should be "pay your productive people". Now you turn around and say "what do you care if his production doesn't justify his salary". Make up your mind.
  4. So where does the Kelsay signing fit into this philosophy?
  5. Which goes back to my point. Nothing will change until Wilson, Overdorf & Littman are gone. Also, you agree with me about the coaching staff by stating that our current DC is "lost".
  6. Except for bringing in Wannestedt(who is a 4-3 guy) this year as an assistant to the DC(who is a 3-4 guy), the assistants hired by Gailey were about uninspiring as possibly could be. Clearly a case where $$$ played a big role in compiling his staff.
  7. I've said it before many times... NOTHING will change until Wilson, Overdorf & Littman are no longer associated with the Bills. There is no commitment to winning when looking at the front office, the coaching staff or the players.
  8. The Bills didn't need to switch from the cover-2 4-3 to a 3-4. They just needed to switch to a standard 4-3 that didn't rely on 230 pound LB's and 240 pound DE's. They should just shitcan the 3-4 or hybrid completely.
  9. The Bills are building through the draft. Didn't you see the big impact that Spiller, Troup and Carrington had in their first year?
  10. Like that plays any role in where a player decides to sign.
  11. Can never have enough Jasper threads.
  12. Hey TWC...How are those negotiations going with the NFL Network? Maybe if I pull a Rip Van Winkle, I may awake and find NFLN as part of the TWC lineup. <insert fu emoticon>
  13. Yeah, this is a "Ralph is cheap" response... If Erie County isn't footing the bill, it just isn't going to happen. Not in this case. Not in the case of any future stadium improvements.
  14. 10. If your team has SUCKED for more than a decade, these are the things that we resort to talking about.
  15. ...there's a picture of Jesus in his yearbook! PS The internet is a great resource for useless information.
  16. I'm done for now. There are some people who believe Jasper is a diamond in the rough without seeing ONE SINGLE HIGHLIGHT of him playing NT at the NAIA level, and then there are those of us who are grounded in reality. I'll pick up this discussion in training camp.
  17. You made the point that he was recruited by football power SEC school to prove that he is a good talent, correct? I countered by saying that if he was that great of a talent AT THAT TIME, he would have been recruited by another D1 school instead of ending up in pigeon hole, tennessee for the last 4 years. If I didn't know better, I'd swear I was criticizing #3 overall pick Dareus and not 7th round Jasper.
  18. The guys who do the recruiting for college programs don't let guys who can play at the D-1A level fall through the cracks. It's big business and it's their job to turn over every rock when it comes to finding guys who can play.
  19. Easy boy. I was just stating a fact about the senior bowl players being drafted. Next time, I'll take note that there is no point to your posts!
  20. I didn't say Jasper was delusional. I am referring to the people posting about Jasper! Considering there are no game highlights of Jasper nor can you find anything about his talent let alone dominance at the LOWEST level of college football, the only person being compared to Jasper should be Haystacks Calhoun. If you don't know who he is... http://tinyurl.com/3exoq4j
  21. Maybe he talked to Darcy Regier and decided video scouting is the wave of the future!
  22. If the point is being made that the Bills drafted 3 senior Bowl players because they coached them, I am not sure that number is extraordinary. I'm guessing that there were around 100 players in the Senior Bowl. IF the majority of them got drafted, that would mean most teams probably drafted 2 or 3 of them.
  23. Everybody likes a rags to riches story, but this hype is out of control, and no longer even falls into the category of optimism. It is even beyond delusional! I thought for a second it was April Fools Day. Wilfork vs. Jasper? You guys are killing me.
  24. ...and after they adopted this, the Bills would finish last overall and end up with the 6th pick in the lottery.
