  1. Don't forget to include this post in the "whine time" thread.
  2. Only Nix would know who is available via trade. So the plan was to try and sign Clabo, and if that fails, do nothing and HOPE that one of the guys on the team doesn't get your QB killed at some point in the season?? This is now Nix's 2nd offseason, and this is the best he can do to improve the OT position?
  3. Nix should be praying that the OT position solidifies itself prior to the opener. If not, he should be criticized for not upgrading the position in the off-season. You can draft, sign F/A or makes trades to upgrade a position of need, and so far, the only thing done in the off-season was to use a 4th round pick to address this problem. Bell, Pears, Wrotto, Wang & Hairston....
  4. I am not writing him off(see my 1st post stating that he may still become a decent WR). As far as last year goes, he was hurt so early in camp, I don't know how anyone can form an opinion on him. Did he even play in a preseason game before getting hurt?
  5. I was responding to your "he has so much promise" statement, and how it is so common for guys who have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on an NFL field to be over-hyped here(Jasper included). Nothing more, nothing less. Just because someone disagrees with something your post is no reason to get all bent out of shape.
  6. While he may turn into a decent WR, lets not get carried away. This wasn't Andre Johnson tearing up his knee in his first NFL training camp. It was a 4th round pick from UConn. I'm always amazed at the hype that is given to guys who have yet to do anything at the NFL level.
  7. ^^^ This. The tackle positions in particular are ... Bell Pears Wrotto Hairston Wang
  8. Moats has a way to go to live up to the "Legend of Jasper". Only in Buffalo where they draft the premier DL in the entire draft, do we get more talk about some 7th round blob.
  9. everything about the Bills roster says they should be a 4-3 defense!
  10. ...and Scott Mitchell before him.
  11. I guess there is nothing wrong with dreaming, but 2010 high draft picks such as Troup and Carrington had little to no impact there rookie season, but the guy who played at the NAIA(Is this one step up from Pop Warner???) level is going to make the team and fill multiple roles in his first year?
  12. Shefter won't be annoying to you if you put him next to Mort and Clayton.
  13. So vets can participate in training camp before 8/4, but not signed rookies? I wonder why they couldn't practice on the same date as the vets as long as they are under contract?
  14. If it took all of 45 minutes, it would be done already. I guess Overdorf, Littman and Cooter can't multi-task.
  15. True, but the rookies have had no mini-camp, no OTA's, and now, possibly missing the start of training camp. Not good for teams such as the Bills who will look to many of these rookies to contribute this year.
  16. Is there any way these rookies(both in Buffalo and across the NFL) all get signed and ready to go for the start of training camp? I thought with the rookie wage scale, that getting these guys signed would be a no brainer.
  17. In your previous post you said that the philosophy should be "pay your productive people". Now you turn around and say "what do you care if his production doesn't justify his salary". Make up your mind.
  18. So where does the Kelsay signing fit into this philosophy?
  19. Which goes back to my point. Nothing will change until Wilson, Overdorf & Littman are gone. Also, you agree with me about the coaching staff by stating that our current DC is "lost".
  20. Except for bringing in Wannestedt(who is a 4-3 guy) this year as an assistant to the DC(who is a 3-4 guy), the assistants hired by Gailey were about uninspiring as possibly could be. Clearly a case where $$$ played a big role in compiling his staff.
  21. I've said it before many times... NOTHING will change until Wilson, Overdorf & Littman are no longer associated with the Bills. There is no commitment to winning when looking at the front office, the coaching staff or the players.
  22. The Bills didn't need to switch from the cover-2 4-3 to a 3-4. They just needed to switch to a standard 4-3 that didn't rely on 230 pound LB's and 240 pound DE's. They should just shitcan the 3-4 or hybrid completely.
