  1. Doesn't the CBA dictate how big the rookie salary pool is? The money being handed out to the top picks is always at the top of my list in terms of what has to be corrected in the NFL.
  2. -No surprises last night. Anoop and Lil getting bounced could have been predicted before they even performed on Tuesday. -Matt will probably get bounced next week and then I think it may be somewhat unpredicatable. When they got down to the final 12, I thought it would be a final between Adam and Allison. Now, I'm not so sure about her. -Paula and Simon were TV gold on Tuesday. Paula's comments about Chris shopping in a ladies store followed by Simon's comments about needing a translator were great. This was followed up later in the show with Simon mouthing the word "what" while Paula was just babbling on. -The judges(especially Simon) are very capable of swaying the voting and it is clear that they would love to see Adam win. He definitely has the best chance of selling a ton of records. -I've mentioned this earlier in the season, but DVR is the way to go with AI. I've become so accustomed to it, that watching it live is torture.
  3. If the Bills picked Jenkins at #11, I'd venture to guess that it would be greeted by at least 95% opposition here, maybe even a perfect 100% consensus.
  4. I agree that the Bills needs to work some magic at the draft table this weekend. Out of 6 picks in the first 4 rounds, they need 1 guy to end up being a pro bowler and 3 others end up as above average starters. Anything less and the decade of mediocrity will continue for the immediate future.
  5. Just a reminder that day 1 is now just the first two rounds.
  6. Says Mr. Positive, who then turns around and posts this... http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=87505
  7. The question I have is where is the bigger drop off... Monroe/J. Smith/A.Smith/Oher(#11) versus Beatty/Britton(#28) or Orapko/Brown/Maybin/Ayers/Jackson(#11) versus Sidbury/Barwin/Johnson/Kruger/etc...(#28)
  8. You hit a homerun. It's a depressing look at the upcoming season but I agree with everything you said.
  9. http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/04/20/jaguars-si...eteran-wr-holt/ "The Jacksonville Jaguars made headway toward filling their void at wide receiver on Monday by signing veteran free-agent Torry Holt to a three-year deal worth roughly $20 million, according to Holt’s agent."
  10. I missed the part about the draft pick. If it is a 1st, I'd change my tune.
  11. Arizona gets hosed in that deal. A TE that can't stay healthy and a overrated and overpriced RB for Boldin who is a top 10 WR?
  12. How many teams(other than the Bills) have a late 1st and early 2nd?
  13. Then why did they get rid of one of them and now looking to dump the other?
  14. Here's mine(this assumes Orapko is gone)... Ayers(rising up the boards and after Orapko, probably the best available to play in a 4-3) Brown(above average pass rushing skills). Jackson(viewed as more of a 3-4 end and not as much of a pass rush threat). Maybin(too small for my liking. He added 20 pounds, but how will that effect his speed). I's be okay with Ayers, Brown or Jackson, but if all that is left is Maybin, I'd look at another position instead...Cushing?
  15. Just say NO to trading up! On a team that needs as much help as the Bills do, why give away draft picks to move up.
  16. Do the Bills have the cap space to fit both Scheffler and Waters, and if so, could each of them be acquired for a 4th round pick or would it cost more? If this could be done, two need positions would be addressed and the Bills would still have #11, 28, 42 and 75 to address OLB, DE and OT.
  17. Anyone feel that the Bills will either draft a player not expected to be taken at that point(#28 or #42) or even worse draft a player at a position which is not considered a "need". If so, what is your worst nightmare in terms of this.
  18. I can't wait to hear about Ralph's personal pick since the Rodney Wright selection was so impressive.
  19. This PFW reporter who gets a lot of positive feedback here, does not like Cook... http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFLDr.../wwhi041609.htm
  20. I'll be pissed if the Bills trade up in any round. The draft is too hit and miss to give up picks/players in order to get "their man". Oh by the way, the other reason not to trade up...this team has too many holes to fill
