  1. Obviously we won't know until he sees some action in the preseason, but I have been thinking about these questions regarding Maybin... -Is his best position OLB in the 3-4 and if so, do the Bills consider a switch when(not if) Dick is fired after this season? -If it turns out that he cannot defense the run and ends up being a situational pass rusher who can get 8 sacks per season, did the Bills blow the #11 pick overall? -How much weight can he put on without losing his greatest asset which is his quickness? They say he is around 250 now. I would like to believe that considering he is 6'4" that he could go up to 260 without losing the speed, but hoping the extra bulk would allow him to defend the run better and become a 3 down player.
  2. Excellent! Now the 4th round pick that we would have used to get Levi can be used to get Scheffler, Henderson or Boldin.
  3. You just aced NFL Schedule Reading. Congratulations and good luck with NFL Terminology.
  4. I don't get it. Does this mean bandit27=belichick?
  5. I think he was primarily a RT, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
  6. Mort was a complete joke at the draft table yesterday. He could have been the guy they cut to from time to time back in the studio. It should have been Wingo, Jaws and Kiper, losing Mort and Herm Edwards. Speaking of ESPN's coverage, day 1 should be Boomer and Kiper. I guess since the networks think is is good to have a cast of thousands on the pregame show, it should be the same thing in regards to the draft. They need to be reminded of the KISS principle.
  7. The correct thread title should have been... Russ Brandon to Paul Hamilton, "You're an idiot!".
  8. Here you go again with your facts. Don't you know making stuff up to support an argument is so much easier?
  9. http://www.buffalonews.com/452/story/652438.html "It appears the Bills plan to move Langston Walker to left tackle and slide right guard Brad Butler to right tackle, where he was originally drafted to play. Rookies Eric Wood and Andy Levitre, the second picks in the first and second rounds, respectively, are slated to start at left and right guard with Geoff Hangartner at center. Kirk Chambers, Demetrius Bell, Jonathan Scott and Seth McKinney provide depth at guard and tackle."
  10. No one knows for sure until they finalize the trades for Scheffler, Henderson & Boldin.
  11. You sure about that? Maybe there is a method behind the madness, but I'm far from "fine" with our current group of Walker, Bell & Chambers at OT.
  12. I could see calling the Wood pick a bit of a reach, but calling it our "worst pick"? What an idiot!
  13. I am pretty sure it was Steve Young during Saturday's draft coverage who was talking about drafting players who have a passion for the game of football. Maybe the light will click on for Ellis this summer(lets hope so), but it sounds like he may be one of the guys who doesn't have the "passion".
  14. I'm concerned that on a team who lost its best DE for most of the season, that Ellis couldn't even have a couple of shining moments. Instead he didn't even dress for the majority of the games. I expect a little more out of a 3rd round pick who played in major college football conference.
  15. I have a feeling Wood & Levitre will be fixtures on the interior for the next 7-10 years. No more mid to late round picks or crappy FA's(Preston, Reyes, Teague, Anderson, Pennington, Whittle, Fowler, Merz, Geisinger, Sobieski, Pucillo, etc...) brought in to try and fix interior line problem. Whether it be at guard or center, I'll be very surprised if they are not both on the field starting on opening day.
