I agree with your concerns about Kelly being part of the football operations side of the house. I think he is fine as the Bills booster he is today, but beyond that, I have my doubts of him being in on football decisions. As far as what might be coming down, all this is happening behind the scenes and "insiders" posting about what they know, but none of this is being reported by any media outlet? Not saying it isn't true, but call me skeptical.

Are you speculating, or know this as fact? Sometimes it is hard to differentiate fact from fiction on this board. Why wouldn't he be playing DE in the 3-4 fronts, and why has it been reported that he is practicing at OLB? I will have to watch Carrington closer this week.

The Jets still have a terrific defense, and when Mangold returns their OL will be a LOT better. Maybe not SB contenders, but I wouldn't count them out just yet in terms of possible playoff teams. That being said, I'd love to see them go down in flames and Rex gets fired for no other reason than his BIG MOUTH.

Well, the Bills just passed the quarter pole, and Smith once again got his 2 or 3 fairly insignificant touches(please don't tell me that making a play a game to get a first down makes you valuable), that we saw in the first 3 games. 1. The Bills can't figure out how to utilize him. 2. He is overrated. 3. They are saving him for that one special moment. I'll just continue to wait until the Brad Smith era is launched.

John...thanks for bringing some facts to the discussion, but the bottom line is that the success of the first 3 games has some people convinced that their beloved Bills cannot be at fault for this loss, therefore, blame someone/something else.

I'm sure this concept of part time refs is passed on from high school, to college, and then the pros, but it makes no sense in a league that is rolling in the dough, that they don't go to full-time refs. I wonder when the last time this question was posed to an NFL commissioner, and what the response was. Bottom line...If the owners wanted full-time refs(more money), it would happen. I'll save the next poster the trouble...Ralph is cheap!
