    Anybody have current QB contract numbers? When the contract was signed, how many years & how much $$$. 12 mil per year seems on the high side.

    The 3 headed triumverate of Wilson, Littman & Overdorf took the old saying... "You have to spend money to make money" and changed it to... "You have to spend taxpayer money in order to make Ralph money!!!!"

    Thats it Russ. Get the county/state taxpayers to fund stadium improvements, but make sure they include "revenue generating enhancements" to improve Ralph's bottom line. :lol:

    I'm not saying he doesn't see SOME double teams, but he is not being double teamed on EVERY play. Not even close.

    The only thing that interests me during the bye week is what the weather forecast is going to be for Sunday because that is the only weekend during the fall my wife is going to pry my ass of the coach between 1PM and 7PM to admire the fall foliage.

    Even if the Bengals got two 3rd round picks for him, it would be a win for them. Palmer was never going back to them. Did the Raiders pay too much...maybe, but it is not the horrible move some are making it out to be. IF Palmer goes there and plays well for the next few years the trade is a win win...I believe he is under contract until 2014.

    I know some of you may find it hard to believe, but Sully brought me to tears this morning on WGR. I guess we don't realize just how close the media gets to the players they cover on a daily basis.

    I don't know if it was true or not, but it was rumored a few years ago that the Bengals partially relied on the Ourlads scouting guide during draft prep or on draft day.

    He wouldn't be the first aging veteran QB to have his career resurrected with the Raiders. There is no way a team that is going to finish in the middle of the pack(Oakland), would be able to trade two #1 picks to move up to the top slot. Keep dreaming.

    Thanks for bringing some insights to the discussion. I think the OP is already trashing Luck knowing that he may end up with the Dolphins, in a manner that is similar to the way some folks here still don't believe Brady is a GREAT QB(mainly because he has owned the Bills for close to a decade).

    If Palmer plays well enough to put the Raiders into the playoffs before the Bills(I don't think this is out of the question), will that still make this the worst trade in history(as some posts have indicated)?
