  1. I often wonder why sports broadcasters wear coats and ties? Considering the audience, and the environment they work in, wouldn't matching golf shirts and khakis be perfectly acceptable to the viewers? Would any focus group come to the conclusion that "I want the broadcasters to be dressed in suits"? Just seems ridiculous at a time when so many workplaces now have relaxed dress codes. This includes PbP guys, analysts, TV sports talk shows, TV news sportscasters, etc...
  2. I'd take a shot on him. Bring him in and let him sit the bench the rest of the year. If he stays out of trouble, give him a chance to compete next year. Of course, he'd probably beat out the competition, including Allen, which would make McBean look bad...so that means he's never going to be a Bill.
  3. Guaranteed himself 3 years? He has a 10 year 100 million dollar guaranteed contract.
  4. This should speak volumes for the "let's sign him" crowd.
  5. Anybody suggesting Pryor as an option hasn’t seen him play the last couple years. He is terrible.
  6. Yes. If this is the "TRUE" reason, then I guess there is nothing to debate. lol
  7. Somebody wake me up when the Bills have the home grown talent-wise equivalent of Springer, Altuve, Correa, Kuechel & Bregman....and they then have a GM shrewd enough to acquire talent like Verlander, Cole & Morton.
  8. I say, start whomever has the better chance of putting another nail in McClappy’s coffin. Yesterday was yet another blowout for this defensive “genius”.
  9. I’d go with Peterman until Allen is ready. The season is over. Maybe just maybe the light comes on for Peterman. There is NO point in playing Grandpa Anderson. This assumes McClappy is even aware who is playing on the offensive side of the ball.
  10. I saw several references here to a SB or playoff caliber defense the last couple weeks...OOPS!
  11. McClappy should have nothing but WR's on the practice squad. If after a month they show any promise, move them up to varsity. If not, cut them...then rinse and repeat. Instead, it will continue to be a steady diet of DT's and CB's on tryout day each week.
  12. Only one thing matters when it comes to free agency... SHOW ME THE MONEY!! All other factors are a distant 2nd.
  13. Much like a car wreck you can’t look away from, in some twisted way, i wsh the Bills would keep rolling out Peterman, game after game. lol
  14. Excellent thread title! Couldn't be more wrong. OP...instead of this being clickbait, why not just change the title to "ESPN broadcaster suggests Manning be traded"? Not that difficult.
  15. Love child? Hmmm...McDermott is 44 and Peterman is 24. Anything is possible. Thanks for raising this most interesting topic.
  16. Assuming in the salary cap era it is difficult to have a great offense AND a great defense.... - I take a great offense every day of the week. - A great offense is more exciting. - A great offense can always get you back in the game(see KC last night). - If your team with a great defense and bad offense goes down 17 points in the 2nd half...GAME OVER. So how does this get fixed in Buffalo? Hire an offensive genius, and not a guy who is clueless in terms of offense(McClappy). How else do you explain a guy who routinely brings in endless defense players for tryouts, but is doing little to nothing to improve the WORST WR corp in the league. How many more years of bad offensive football before the Bills have an offense like KC, NE, NO, PIT, LAC, LAR, TB, PHI, etc...
  17. Blah blah blah... The refs are the least of the Bills problems.
  18. I like Allen. He seems like a nice kid, good teammate and has the size and arm to play NFL QB. That being said, he looks so far away from ever being a franchise QB, I don’t know how anyone can get excited about his future with the team.
  19. I call BS. There is absolutely no excuse for pre-snap penalties.
  20. The Bills weren’t winning that game with or without Allen getting hurt. They were lucky to win one game when your QB can’t eclipse the 100 yard mark. They weren’t doing it two weeks in a row.
  21. The Pats and the Red Sox both at home tonight. Hopefully losses for both of them!
  22. That would be a McClappy kind of move. Make an already bad offense even worse. Solid plan!
  23. Maybe go back and look at the records of the Sabres and Bills since Pegula acquires them. What should they be doing instead of what they have done? Hire people to run the sports side of the two teams and let them hire the gm’s and coaches.
  24. It's all speculation on my part, but I'd have bet a lot that they would have been criticized for not trying to get closer, if Hauschka had missed that kick by a foot or two.
