  1. Lmfao just eject this into my veins: 1) This is exactly the kind of x and o content I love. JT’s QB school always does it up right 2) Hearing him trash the dolphins is just a cherry on top. Chubb in coverage at the end and his commentary had me lol
  2. Zion Logue Joey Bosa Javon Solomon What does this list have in common? Aside from being defensive lineman, they all also dropped into zone coverage yesterday. I’m still working through this film but between some bizarre play calling and guys just not making plays, it is a tough watch on D sometimes. My favorite so far is an achane run which was an attempt at power. Daquon Jones complete beats his guy across from him off the ball, and blows up the pulling guard who was en route to kick out Rousseau. That left both 50 and Shaq unblocked on the edge and yet they somehow both get beat to the outside when it bounces for a cool 10+ yard gain.
  3. Even Solomon got a snap at LB yesterday. Babich out here just drawing up scheeeeeet
  4. James cook man lol what an interview. It’s a good thing he isn’t paid for his public speaking
  5. Management error on personnel. Left the defense out worried about a fake, and a guy who has no business trying to block a punt tries to play the hero. Gotta coach em up
  6. Great job OL handing the blitz and Allen maneuvering the pocket. A solid all around conversion
  7. McDermott can’t always be the scape goat. Players gotta execute. Tre on the blitz, Bernard on the Hill catch, Epinessa and Sanders breaking rush lanes. 3rd down is a problem but guys were in spots to make plays and they didn’t
  8. No need to blitz here fellas come on. Play your zones and let the front 4 go to work. Take away the quick game and we’ll be fine
  9. I think that was a clean PBU. Good play by the S
  10. Bernard all over that deep over route. Nice zone spacing fellas. Well done with the rush as well.
  11. Debated starting a new thread, as I’d like to do more of these and keep tabs on it throughout the season but figured with our OL a strength we’ll have the advantage on Miami’s DL, despite some bigger names on the edge: Check out this clip from my all22 review. This is a master class on how to handle an interior stunt by our middle three with both tackles stonewalling 1v1 on the edge. This unit is awesome! https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cTQFcsno9M3 P.S. if anyone is aware of a way to take a video, and embed it directly or convert to a gif link that would work, PM me!
  12. I think many people here would agree. McDermott and company do not, from what I’m seeing. At least so far this year, that’s not how they’ve been using him. Its possible he took some 3T snaps but from my all22 rewatch I saw him pretty consistently at the nose. I do not know where or how you’d quickly access a specified snap count for that. The attached photo is the first snap from scrimmage. This is the alignment that I saw consistent IMHO
  13. Interesting that despite all the love for Knox, Kincaid and Hawes after the Jets win, no one is touting Reggie Gilliam, who for the first time in a long time has multiple snaps as an inline tight end from 13 personnel. They ran the same formation like 5 plays in a row and just slammed the Jets up the gut. There was no doubt they saw their path and stuck with it. I’m very curious to see how these personnel groupings will continue to develop. I think it again speaks to why the lack of investing $$$ into a true #1 WR makes sense for this team; they literally cannot guarantee he’d be on the field. My favorite play may have been the Elijah Moore TD. After all the inside zone to cook, Brady uses the same action to give the Jet sweet the other way. That was good stuff. Side rant on Moore aside, we just won’t know from week to week what we’re going to get. These guys want to run the ball, and if they find a personnel grouping that seems to be working, they are going to stick with it. I imagine Hawes will end up somewhere around the 30% snap share at the end of the year.
  14. Bernard has the propensity to get lost in the play. He’s ocassionally trying to scrape over or back door a blocker rather than work through it. He just doesn’t have the size or ability to catch the block and disengage without giving up a ton of ground. Too often he either gets washed or locked up, and I think it can be partially because he’s too pigeon holed onto the ball carrier and by the time he’s recognizing a blocker he doesn’t have the skill set to beat them with power or hand technique. It’s what leads to the splash plays, ankle tackles, and the makes him have what appears to be a nose for the ball. That said I still think he a a good MlB, especially for what they want in regards to being able to move, get into space, etc. P.S. there was one Jets play where 8 gets absolutely walloped by a TE and the LOS. Just rag dolls him and I think this encapsulates where he can be taken advantage of. Hey it’s the NFL everyone has that happen to them
  15. Well I’m 99% sure that the Bills take this one. That said, I am sure they aren’t taking a division opponent lightly. It is no doubt the Dolphins have holes on their roster (OL, DB, LB), and some of their top end players (Fitzpatrick, Chubb, Hill) may be past their prime. That said, I do believe they’re better than people are giving them credit for. I do not think they stand a chance vs these Bills but they will have their moments. Achane is a good back, and they can get after the QB a little bit. I am fully expecting a dominant victory, but it won’t be a complete knockout. I think you’ll see the dolphins land some punches, but we’ll eat them and be no worse off. Our team is too experienced, well prepared and much more fundamentally sound than I believe the dolphins to be. No, it was almost exclusively Walker/Jones and Logue/Sanders…with Walker and Logue manning the 1
  16. On pace for 90 grabs and 1100 yards!!!
  17. The Bills sure love their TEs. Getting quite a bit of that 13 personnel in condensed formations.
  18. Posting this here because it may be relevant while Ed is out: after reviewing some All22, there were a significant amount of snaps where Deone Walker/DaQuon Jones were paired with Walker as the 1T. My only thought on this is that they like Walkers length over the middle of the defense as he’s shown the ability to knock down some balls.
